教学重难点
教学重点: 掌握剪纸主题核心词汇和阅读技巧,读懂短文完成判断、填空任务; 理解剪纸的文化内涵,运用目标句型完成对话和口语表达;了解中国传统艺术形式,能用英语简单介绍剪纸。
教学难点:准确提取阅读细节,完成填空和判断;用英语流畅介绍剪纸文化,贴合实际表达;理解剪纸的文化寓意,实现文化输出。
教学过程——主要思路
Step 1 Warming-up & Lead-in
1.神秘盒子导入
教师准备一个红色盒子,里面放3-4张剪纸(福字、鱼、生肖、喜字)。
每次只露出一角,学生猜是什么:
What’s inside? Guess! Is it a flower? An animal?
取出后,教师板书:Paper Cutting
2. 寓意竞猜
展示福字、鱼、喜字剪纸,提问:
What does this pattern mean in Chinese culture?
学生用中文或简单英文说:
福 → good luck / happiness
鱼 → more than enough every year (年年有余)
喜 → double happiness for weddings
教师补充英文表达并板书。
3. 学生举手回答:
Have you ever made a paper cut?
Where can you see paper cuts in daily life?(windows, walls, doors)
设计意图:从“猜—看—说”三步骤,增强参与感;寓意竞猜自然渗透文化内涵,为阅读做情感铺垫,贴合学生生活,激活已有文化知识,降低入门难度;面向学生设计简单问题,增强课堂参与感,为后续阅读铺垫。
Step 2: Pre-reading
活动1:学生小组竞赛猜词:
You use this to cut paper. → scissors(教师举起剪刀)
You need this to create a beautiful paper cut. → imagination
Red paper cuts bring us this feeling. → happiness / luck
“Fu” is a kind of ______. → pattern
每组派代表板书单词,教师带读并纠正发音(重点:scissors /ˈsɪzəz/)。
活动2:词汇分类(2分钟)
学生将以上词汇放入三个类别(教师黑板画三栏):

活动3:预测三问
学生只看课文标题和图片,每人写出3个想从文中知道的问题,教师选2-3个写在黑板一侧:

词汇学习主动化;为阅读扫清障碍,符合学生"先输入再输出"的认知规律;分类训练逻辑归纳;预测从“描述”升级为“提问”,阅读更有目的性,图片预测帮助学生带着目标阅读,提升阅读针对性。

活动1:Skimming
1. 呈现判断任务:

B Only elderly people like to make paper-cuts. ( )
C You can use your imagination to decide what paper-cuts to make. ( )
2. 学生独立阅读短文,完成判断,教师巡视,提醒学生抓关键词( new / only / imagination )
3. 核对答案,逐句讲解:
A: F 原文第一句:Paper cutting is a traditional art form in China. (traditional ≠ new)
B: F 短文提到奶奶教“我”做剪纸,说明不是只有老人喜欢
C: T 原文最后一段:You can use your imagination in your paper-cuts.
4. 针对学生提问:"Why is A wrong?" 引导学生用原文句子回答,强化细节理解。学生完成段落主旨连线:
活动2:Scanning
1. 呈现填空文本:Paper cutting is a traditional Chinese art form. Paper-cuts can be in different shapes, such as flowers, trees, ______ and animals. We put red paper-cuts on the ______ and windows to welcome the Chinese New Year. We hope they bring us good ______ and happiness in the coming year.

2. 学生再次阅读短文,完成填空,教师提醒学生定位原文句子
3. 核对答案,逐句带读,讲解重点:

活动1:
1. 提问:What other Chinese art forms do you know? Talk with your partner.
2. 教师给出示例,给学生搭脚手架:
I know Chinese painting. It's a traditional art form with brushes and ink.
I know kites. We can fly kites in spring, and they have beautiful patterns.
3. 学生4人一组讨论,教师巡视,引导学生用简单句表达,邀请2-3组分享
4. 教师补充常见中国传统艺术: calligraphy(书法) 、 clay sculpture(泥塑) 、 embroidery(刺绣) 等
活动2:
1. 教师展示简单剪纸步骤(折、画、剪、展),用英语讲解:- "First, fold the red paper. Then draw a simple pattern. Next cut it with scissors. Finally open it, you get a paper cut!"
2. 学生用提前准备的彩纸、剪刀体验简单剪纸(比如剪窗花、福字),教师巡视指导
3. 邀请学生展示作品,用英语介绍:"This is my paper cut. It's a flower. It means beauty."
