Dear Li Hua,
In your last email, you asked me for ways to deal with stress and worries. A helpful way my classmates use is a "Worry Box". Here is how to make and use it.
Make a special box
Use beautiful paper and stickers to make your box warm and special.
Write down your worries
Write your worries on small pieces of paper.
Rate and store your worries
Give each worry a score from 1 to 10. 1 means "a little worried" and 10 means "very worried". For example, I rate "fighting with my friend" as 8 and "forgetting my homework" as 4. Then put the paper into the box.
Share your worries
Every weekend, choose a time to talk about your worries with your family or friends. You can find good ways together.
Remember: Keeping worries to yourself is bad for your health. The Worry Box helps you face them bravely.
Yours,
Amy
