教学过程——主要思路
Step 1 Warming-up & Lead-in
教师表演或播放一段15秒的无对白短片:两家人因为一个共用的过道堆放杂物而发生争执。
提问:
What’s the problem between the two neighbours?
If you were one of them, what would you do?
学生用简单英语表达(如:talk, say sorry, share)。
教师引入:Today we’ll learn a famous Chinese story about how neighbours solved a problem wisely.
设计意图:用轻松问候激活课堂,小游戏快速复习旧知、引入新知,贴合学生知识水平。用实景图激发学生好奇心,快速引入主题,为后续阅读做铺垫。
Step 2: Pre-reading
活动1:教师出示词汇银行卡片:
lane, neighbour, give away, ashamed, historic, power
呈现三个新句子(与课文无关但贴近生活):
My family ______ old clothes to the poor.
He felt ______ because he lied to his friend.
This is an ______ building from 200 years ago.
学生独立选择单词填空,随后小组互查。
教师请学生用这些词汇描述“六尺巷”可能发生的故事。
活动2:
1. 用简单英语介绍故事背景: This story happened in Qing Dynasty. Zhang Ying was a famous official. His family had a problem with their neighbour.
2. 提问: What will happen? Let's read the story. ,激发学生阅读兴趣
设计意图:分层词汇教学,从音、形、义到简单运用,符合学生认知规律,降低阅读障碍;背景铺垫帮助学生理解故事,为后续阅读做好准备。
Step 3: While-reading
活动1:First reading
1. 播放故事录音,学生跟读,整体感知故事内容。
2. 任务1:完成教材第1题 Read the story and number the sentences.
给学生提供提示:按故事发展顺序(吴家占巷→张家写信→张家让地→吴家羞愧让地)
学生独立完成后,小组讨论核对答案,教师巡视指导
全班核对答案,用句子卡片在黑板上完成排序,邀请学生上台操作
✅ 正确排序:
1. The Wu wanted to take up the lane between their house and their neighbour's.
2. The Zhangs wrote a letter to Zhang Ying about this.
3. The Zhangs gave away their three feet of land to their neighbour.
4. The Wu family felt ashamed and gave their three feet away.
活动2:Second reading
1. 学生自主精读文本,完成教材第2题 Read the story again and answer the questions. - 给学生提供答案支架,标注文本定位句:
A: Why did the Zhangs write a letter to Zhang Ying?
定位句:The Wus planned to build their house and take up this lane. The Zhangs were worried and wrote a letter to Zhang Ying. They asked him to deal with this problem.
B: Why do we call the lane "the six-foot lane"?
定位句:He asked his family to give away their three feet of land to their neighbour. The Wu family gave their three feet away, too. Then there is now the historic six-foot lane.
C: What can you learn from the story?
支架:We should ______ to our neighbours.
2. 小组讨论(4人一组,1名优等生带3名学生),梳理答案,教师巡视指导
3. 全班分享答案,教师板书关键信息:
A: Because the Wus wanted to take up the lane. The Zhangs were worried and asked Zhang Ying for help.
B: Because the Zhangs gave 3 feet and the Wus gave 3 feet. 3+3=6, so it's the six-foot lane.
C: We should be friendly and tolerant to neighbours.
4. 针对学生,重点讲解长难句:Travelling thousands of miles, the letter is but about a wall.(千里修书只为墙),用动画演示诗句含义,帮助理解。
活动3:Third reading
1. 教师出示一张半结构图:
Wu wanted to take up lane → Zhangs worried → Zhangs wrote a letter → ... → Six-foot lane
学生小组完成结构图中缺失的“因→果”环节。
之后,教师提出一个角色代入写作任务:
Imagine you are Zhang Ying. Write ONE sentence to your family to show your idea of giving away land.
示例:It’s better to give three feet than to fight for one foot.
设计意图:泛读排序-精读问答的分层阅读,符合阅读教学规律,逐步引导学生理解文本;答案支架帮助学生梳理思路,降低答题难度;小组讨论让学生有更多表达机会;培养语感,落实文化意识目标。
Step 4: Post-reading
活动1:教材第4题
1. 呈现4句邻里谚语,学生结对翻译,给学生提供翻译提示:
When your neighbour's house is on fire, yours is likewise in danger.
提示: on fire 着火 → 邻居失火,自家遭殃(城门失火,殃及池鱼)
A good neighbour is a found treasure.
提示: treasure 宝藏 → 好邻居是无价之宝(远亲不如近邻)
A good neighbour adds value to your house.
提示: add value 提升价值 → 好邻居能提升你家的价值(邻里和睦,家宅兴旺)
Love your neighbour, but put up a fence.
提示: put up a fence 筑篱笆 → 爱你的邻居,但要筑好篱笆(亲邻里,明界限)
2. 全班核对翻译,教师讲解谚语背后的文化内涵
3. 讨论: How to be good neighbours? ,给学生提供句型支架:
We should ______. We shouldn't ______.
参考: We should be friendly. We shouldn't be noisy at night.
活动2:故事复述小游戏
1. 用思维导图提示,邀请学生用简单英语复述故事:- In Qing Dynasty, the Zhangs and Wus were neighbours. The Wus wanted to take up the lane. The Zhangs wrote to Zhang Ying. Zhang Ying asked them to give away 3 feet. The Wus felt ashamed and gave 3 feet too. So we have the six-foot lane.
