(我们有足够的时间完成工作 ) · He didn't get enough money to buy the car. (他没有得到足够的钱买那辆车 ) · 形容词/副词 + enough (放在形容词/副词后) · The room is big enough for us to live in. (这个房间够大,我们可以住 ) · He ran fast enough to catch the bus. 常用句型:... enough (for sb.) to do sth. 做某事) ,这个句型表示某事物达到某种程度,可以去做某事 · The box is light enough for the child to carry. 核心用法:too + 形容词/副词 (太……) too 表示程度过了,通常修饰形容词或副词,并且一般放在它们前面 · It's too cold to go swimming. (天太冷了,不能去游泳 ) · You’re walking too fast. I can't follow you. 常用句型:too... to... (太…… 这是 too 最核心的句型,表示由于程度过度而导致否定结果 · The box is too heavy for me to carry. (这个箱子太重了,我搬不动 ) (三)enough to... 与 too... to... 去做) too + 反义词 + to do (太……而不能) He is old enough to go to school. = He is not too young to go to school. too + 形/副+ to do (太……而不能) not + 反义词 + enough to do (不够……去做) He is too young to go to school. = He is not old enough to go to school. 转换口诀:too...to... He is not old enough to do the work.=He is too young to do the work. =He is so young that he can’t do the work. 如此…… 注意: ★The house is too small(for me)to live in. (me 是live in 的逻辑主语,the house 是整个句子的主语,同时,live 是不及物动词,就要后面加上介词in) ★与be busy doing sth 的连用 二、中考题型练习题 单项选择 1. The girl is ______ to go to school this September. If you want a great visit, find out as much as possible about the manners and customs of the country you are visiting. People in India think it impolite to use the left hand to pass food at table. The left hand is used for washing yourself. Also in India, you might see a man shake his head at another to show that he doesn’t agree. However, in many parts of India shaking the head means “yes”. In Bulgaria, you shake your head to mean “yes” and nod to mean “no”. At a meal in countries on the Arabic Peninsula (阿拉伯半岛), you will find that your glass is full again as soon as you drink up . If you think that you have had enough, you can put your hand over the top. In Europe it’s quite usual to cross your legs when you are sitting and talking to someone even at an important meeting. Doing this in Thailand, however, could bring trouble. Also, you should try not to touch the head of an adult (成人)—it’s just not good in Thailand. 1.How will you show others that you don’t agree in Bulgaria after reading the passage? 2.What does the writer want to tell us through the passage? 3.Do you think it necessary to learn about the customs of a foreign country before we visit it?  Why or Why not? China is a nation of etiquette (礼仪).Chinese people are among the most hospitable people in the world. If foreigners visit a Chinese family, they would be surprised at the warm welcome. When you visit a Chinese family, the host usually makes tea for you. Then he will serve(提供) you snacks and fruits. Someone in the family will also chat with you, never letting you feel lonely. At the same time, other family members will prepare a meal for you. Chinese people treat (招待)their guests with a big meal. They always present more food than the guest can eat. On the table, the guests must be the first to eat. Perhaps one of the most surprising things for western guests is that the Chinese host likes to pick up food for visitors. This won’t happen at western tables. Chinese families go out of their way to make you feel at home. As you finish eating, the host usually says, “It seems that you didn’t eat much. Please have more.” Although you tell them you are full, they still put more food in your bowl. Being warm and hospitable has long been an important part of Chinese culture and tradition. As Confucius said thousands of years ago: How happy we are, to meet friends from far away! 41.
