A survey shows that the number of lonely adults is increasing. According to recent research, loneliness can have harmful effects on health. So if you feel lonely at times, be sure to care about it. Here are some tips for you to avoid being lonely.
Make time to meet people
Maybe it seems that you don’t have time to meet new friends, but you need to consider your social life first. 21 You can even offer to take a neighbor’s dog for a walk. The neighbor will surely like to make friends with you.
Build your community online
Without doubt, it’s difficult for you to move to meet like-minded people. However, the Internet can easily bring people with the same interests together. 22 Try some safe meet-up websites, which list local groups and events, bringing people with common interests together.
Know more about your friends
In order to find possible friends, try to know more about them. What do they like doing? Join one of their activities. What subject (话题) are they interested in? 23 In this way, you can know each other much better.
Work as volunteers
Volunteering is good for both body and mind. It gives you the chance to communicate with people. Helping at the local food store or in a charity (慈善) shop will give you a warm feeling and you’ll get to know other volunteers. 24
Plan ahead
25 Rather than just suggesting meeting together, carry it out with an exact date and a careful plan. If you plan to meet more people, making a survey about the plan ahead of time will make the meeting more successful.

Nowadays more and more children seem to get lost in a “sea of digital technology”. To be honest, as they use digital technology too much, they are losing their skills to do simple things. They can’t make toys 26 (they) or help mom cook dinner. And 27 (bad) of all, they seem to be losing interest in communicating with others.
“I have talked with a number of teachers. They care about the rising number of young students who play with computers or smart phones, but have few or no skills to make things,” 28 (say) a teacher, Colin Kinney. “Many students can’t communicate with other students but their parents are glad to see the skills of their children to use a computer or a smart phone.”
Instead of playing with other children, more and more children are choosing to stay indoors and 29 (quiet) play on a laptop on weekends and after school. How can a child grow up to be 30 very good pianist unless he spends much time practising playing the piano? How can a child learn to make friends as he gets older unless he learns to communicate with others 31 a young age?
Probably digital technology 32 (use) for good or bad. We can use a stone to either break a window 33 build a house. We shouldn’t blame (谴责) the children. We should help them make right 34 (choice). It is certainly necessary for children to know how to use digital technology in today’s world, but what is more important, we should encourage children 35 (develop) social abilities. They are good for children especially while growing up.

IV阅读表达(本题10小题 共25分)
A
阅读下面文本,完成36至39小题。(共10分)
Fashion isn’t very environmentally friendly because it makes people buy things they don’t need, just because they’re new. We want to take care of the environment. We don’t want to pollute the air and we don’t want to waste energy and resources. But we also want to be fashionable. How can we buy fashionable clothes and protect the environment?
Old styles are fashionable again, so one way is to buy second-hand clothes—recycled clothes. Another way is to buy fair trade clothes. (A) These clothes are either recycled or made in a way that protects the environment. They also protect the people who make the clothes.
Surprisingly, white cotton is one of the least environmentally friendly crops of all. To protect the cotton, the growers use chemicals that pollute water, make farm workers ill and kill wildlife. New materials, such as bamboo, grow quickly and are more environmentally friendly. These materials are very soft, and look fantastic. The best materials are coloured using natural dyes made from plants.
Environmentally friendly clothes are practical but until now they are often dull. Now fashion designers are working with these materials and the clothes are beautiful as well. So now we can buy fashionable clothes that are also environmentally friendly.

Ⅲ.短文填空(本题10小题,每小题1.5分,共15分)
阅读下面短文,在空白处填入1个适当的单词或括号内单词的正确形式。
