Do you know what ultra-processed foods (UPFs,超加工食品) are? In short, they are usually made in factories and they have long lists of man-made ingredients. People can store them for a long time.
What do UPFs do to your body?
Usually, natural foods are either high in carbohydrates (碳水化合物) or high in fat. UPFs, however, are usually high in both. Besides, our body breaks down (分解) the fat from natural foods slowly. However, our body breaks down the fat in UPFs as soon as it reaches the stomach. This makes you feel happy and want to eat more. But this can cause health problems, such as developing heart trouble and being overweight.
Ways to cut back on UPFs
Tip 1:Read labels (标签)
When you’re shopping, always check the labels on the foods you buy, and read them closely. Try to avoid man-made ingredients.
Tip 2: Keep a healthy diet
Start by making small changes like adding more whole foods to your diet.
Tip 3: ________
Avoiding UPFs doesn’t mean you can never eat cupcakes again. To keep foods as healthy as possible, you can learn to make your own meals.
25. How does the writer lead into the topic “UPFs”?
A. By asking a question. B. By giving an example.
C. By using an old saying. D. By telling a joke.
26. How do you feel after eating UPFs?
A. Tired. B. Hopeful. C. Cheerful. D. Relaxed.
27. According to the text, what should you do when shopping to avoid buying too many UPFs?
A. Check the labels. B. Keep a healthy diet.
C. Make a shopping list. D. Only choose whole foods.
28. What is the proper title for ________.
A. Say No to Junk Food B. Make Your Own Meals
C. Try to Drink More Water D. Change Your Eating Habits
【答案】25. A 26. C 27. A 28. B
【解析】
【导语】本文是一篇说明文,介绍了超加工食品的定义、对人体的影响以及减少食用超加工食品的方法。
【25题详解】
文章开头“Do you know what ultra-processed foods (UPFs,超加工食品) are?”,表明通过提问的方式引出话题“UPFs”。
【26题详解】
文章第二段提到“This makes you feel happy and want to eat more.”,说明吃UPFs会让人感到快乐,“cheerful”与“happy”意思相近。
【27题详解】
文章“Ways to cut back on UPFs”中提到“When you’re shopping, always check the labels on the foods you buy, and read them closely. Try to avoid man-made ingredients”,说明购物时检查标签可以避免购买过多UPFs。
【28题详解】
文章最后一段提到“To keep foods as healthy as possible, you can learn to make your own meals.”,说明学会自己做饭是减少摄入UPFs的一种方法,因此“Make Your Own Meals”是最合适的标题。
C
Recently, I asked a seeing friend who had just walked in the woods what she had noticed. “Nothing special,” she replied.
How was it possible, I asked myself, to walk through the woods and see nothing worthy of note? I who cannot see find hundreds of things to interest me only through touch. If I can get so much pleasure from touch, how much more beauty must be found by sight? And I have imagined what I should most like to see if I were given the use of my eyes for just three days.
On the first day, I should want to see the people who have made my life worth living and the books which have been read to me. In the afternoon, I should take a walk in the woods and admire the beauties of nature. That night, I should not be able to sleep.
On my second day, I should go to the museums to see man’s progress. I should try to explore the spirit of man through his art. In the evening, I should spend at the movies.
The following day, I should spend in the world of common people going about the business of life. At midnight permanent (永久的) night would close in on me again, and I should realize how much I had left unseen.
I who am blind can give one suggestion to those who see: Use your eyes as if tomorrow you would be blind. The same is true of other senses. Hear the songs of birds, as if you would be deaf tomorrow. Smell the flowers, as if tomorrow you could never smell again…But of all the senses, I’m sure that sight must be the most pleasant.
(Adapted from “Three Days to See” by Helen Keller)
29. What makes the writer start imagining the three days?
A. Walking in the woods. B. Asking herself questions.
C. Seeing natural beauty. D. Touching interesting things.
30. What does the last paragraph mainly talk about?
A. A description of different senses. B. A method of living a pleasant life.
C. Encouragement to the blind people. D. Advice to people without disabilities.
31. Which is the best structure (结构) of the passage? (①=Paragraph 1 ②=Paragraph 2…)
A. B. C. D.
32. Which of the following sayings may the writer agree with?
A. Time is what we want most, but what we use worst.
B. Never leave until tomorrow what you can do today.
C. Live every moment and be thankful for what you have.
D. The future belongs to those who are preparing for it now.
【答案】29. B 30. D 31. D 32. C

Sugar painting, as the name means, is a painting made of sugar. It’s the sugar for us to taste, and the painting for us to admire.
Since the Warring States Period (战国时期), the ancient people loved sweets and developed methods of producing sugar. In the Tang Dynasty, there was huge progress in the technology of sugar making. And sugar, the precious product once only served to the emperors and princes, also went into common people’s homes. With the cultural and economic (经济的) development of Song and Yuan Dynasties, people became less interested in only tasting sweetness. In the Ming Dynasty, some people added pictures with good luck into the bowl of sugar, and sugar painting appeared.
Sugar painting is different from normal painting. Sugar painters use syrup (糖浆) as the material, a spoon as the “paintbrush”, and a smooth table as the “paper”. To make syrup, they have to make sugar hot before painting. Since syrup may become hard if it cools, the painters have to produce the work very quickly. They move the spoon full of syrup up and down, left and right. Soon a sugar painting is done.
However, it’s a pity that this folk art is dying. The sugar painting that used to be rich in shapes has become poorer and poorer because of fewer needs. What’s worse, few people seem to be willing to pass down the art except those aging sugar painters.
For most people, painting is a kind of art and difficult to understand. However, sugar painting has pulled the art down into people’s daily lives. Through it, we may see the spiritual support of the ancient people across centuries. Now, sugar painting has been listed as an intangible cultural heritage (非物质文化遗产) in China. Therefore, the art should be remembered , missed and passed down.
33. What does the underlined word “ precious” in Paragraph 2 probably mean?
A. Valuable and expensive. B. Useful and cheap.
C. Special but worthless. D. Simple but priceless.
34. Why should sugar painters make the work very quickly?
A. To show their excellent skills. B. To avoid syrup becoming hard.
C. To protect the spoon and the table. D. To reduce people’s waiting time.
35. What’s the writer’s attitude towards today’s sugar painting according to Paragraph 4?
A. Uncaring. B. Doubtful. C. Worried. D. Unclear.
36. Which can be a suitable title for the text?
A. Exploring the Art of Sugar Painting B. Improving the Taste of Sugar Painting
C. Effects of the Sugar Producing Technology D. Way to Change the Future of Sugar Painting
【答案】33. A 34. B 35. C 36. A
【解析】
【导语】本文是一篇说明文,主要介绍了糖画的定义、发展历史、制作工艺、现状及文化意义。
【33题详解】
根据第二段中“And sugar, the precious product once only served to the emperors and princes, also went into common people’s homes.”可知,早期的糖只有皇室贵族才能享用,说明它是珍贵且昂贵的,因此“precious”的含义与“Valuable and expensive”一致。
【34题详解】
根据第三段中“Since syrup may become hard if it cools, the painters have to produce the work very quickly.”可知,画师快速创作的原因是防止糖浆冷却变硬,影响制作。
【35题详解】
根据第四段中“However, it’s a pity that this folk art is dying. The sugar painting that used to be rich in shapes has become poorer and poorer because of fewer needs. What’s worse, few people seem to be willing to pass down the art except those aging sugar painters.”

根据上文臧健和的故事,以及“we are brave and keep trying”,应用as long as“只要”引导条件状语从句。as soon as“一……就”、even if“即使”、as well as“也”均与条件逻辑不符。
