Grammar and Vocabulary (20’) Section A(10’) Directions: After reading the passage below, fill in the blanks to make the passage coherent and grammatically correct. For the blanks with a given word, fill in each blank with the proper form of the given word; for the other blanks, use one word that best fits each blank. Picture yourself as the hero in a Chinese martial-arts (武术) novel. There are two paths to improve your powers. Do you choose zhengxiu, the orthodox (正统的) one that 21 (typical) demands decades of practice in a cave? 22 do you risk xiexiu, the unorthodox way? Traditional values warn against those who cheat 23 (establish) systems. But xiexiu has acquired a life among certain youngsters. It now represents a 24 (depart) from the proper way: more efficient, more creative or simply less bound by convention. In recent months, videos with the term 25 (draw) billions of views on social media. Some are just rebranded life tricks, such as learning English through fan fiction. Others turn into the absurd (荒谬的): reading advanced mathematics 26 a sleep aid. Many young adults see xiexiu as a middle path between “996” office culture and “lying flat”. An unstable economy, rising housing costs and shaky job 27 (prospect) have already made the path through adulthood more uncertain. So why not turn to xiexiu? Last month, Guangming Daily declared the trend 28 cheerful way for the young to deal with uncertainty and gain initiative. It stopped short of calling it a fight against authority, instead 29 (describe) it as “a way to seek improvement”. “Xiexiu isn’t really about teaching you cooking methods — it’s teaching you 30 to rethink,” reads one clear-eyed comment. Section B(10’) Directions: Complete the following passage by using the words in the box. Each word can only be used once. Note that there is one word more than you need. A. adoption B. broad C. economy D. gender-neutral E. organized F. purely G. respect H. rewarded I. similarly J. spare K. uncomfortable Learn Chinese in One Word In recent years, people have talked a lot about the word “they” in English. Many believe this is helpful because it includes both males and females. Yet, English is not the only language that has been experimenting with a(n) ____31____ expression. French speakers often use “iel,” a combination of “il” (he) and “elle” (she). In Chinese, there is also an interesting idea. In 2015, some internet users suggested a new written form: X也. By combining the letter “X” with parts of the Chinese characters used for “he” and “she”, this symbol still reads as “ta” used for both men and women in spoken Chinese. In this ____32____, the new symbol does not change how people speak. Instead, it formalizes something that already exists in the language. After the character was added to Unicode, the international system for digital text, it became easier to type. This helped the wider ____33____ of the symbol online. However, the situation in English is different. In English, some people still feel ____34____ with “they”. Many speakers insist that “they” should only refer to more than one person instead of singular words like “someone”. Chinese is different. Since the spoken language already uses one sound for both genders, the new symbol is a(n) ____35____ visual change. This small change in writing also highlights something curious about the Chinese language on a(n) ____36____ scale. The language relies heavily on context to express meaning. It has no word exactly like the English article “the,” and time is often understood from the situation rather than from verb endings. Therefore, Chinese can express ideas with surprising ____37____, using only a few words. For example, a long sentence such as “The relationships among the Seven Warring States were constantly changing” can be presented as “Relationship between Warring States is constant change.” English, despite its reputation for accuracy, ____38____ leaves much to context. Verbs in English have only three endings: “-s”, “-ing” and “-ed”. Compared with languages like Russian, where verbs have more than 60 endings, English grammar looks quite ____39____. Learning a new language therefore goes beyond learning new vocabulary. It also means understanding how meaning is _____40_____ in different languages. III. Reading Comprehension (45’) Section A(15’) Directions: For each blank in the following passage there are four words or phrases marked A, B, C and D. Fill in each blank with the word or phrase that best fits the context. Last year, having never supported a team before, I became a Buffalo Bills fan. People rarely 52 a team based on performance — devotion is usually inherited (传承的), or geographical. But what I’ve learned as a 53 teamless person is that it can also be gifted. The only thing I need is an 54 to fit into a community that fights together, even when the 55 don’t come. 41.A.clothed B.decorated C.buried D.involved 42.A.imagined B.missed C.handled D.discussed 43.A.failure B.view C.history D.spirit 44.A.doubtful B.past C.tiring D.false 45.A.close B.kind C.important D.polite 46.A.refused B.tricked C.defeated D.understood 47.A.Nevertheless B.Therefore C.Besides D.Meanwhile 48.A.protects B.cures C.disappoints D.bonds 49.A.growing B.losing C.promising D.collapsing 50.A.establish B.press C.defend D.control 51.A.dishonest B.irresponsible C.disadvantageous D.irrelevant 52.A.participate in B.root for C.take over D.contribute to 53.A.constantly B.ultimately C.currently D.previously 54.A.opportunity B.investment C.intention D.investigation 55.A.cheers B.results C.arguments D.wins Section B(22’) Directions: Read the following three passages. That assumption, however, is mistaken. According to ecologist Karissa Lear, many ocean species stick to specific habitats and seldom go beyond them. This habit can cause unexpectedly big problems, especially when human-built structures get in the way. Take, for example, the green sawfish living near the mouth of the Ashburton River in Western Australia. In 2017, a large structure was built by the shore, stretching about 550 yards into the sea. As Lear had feared, the construction did harm the critically endangered green sawfish — they were unable to pass around the barrier. To Lear, this discovery supported a surprising new idea that ocean animals, much like land species, need a helping hand getting around human-built structures. On land, wildlife crossings are becoming more common. Green bridges, for instance, help bears and elk avoid a road in Canada’s Banff National Park. In 2022, a wildlife crossing in Washington State was used more than 5,000 times by animals such as deer and coyotes. Although the bridges are already popular on land, Lear says little attention has been paid to the idea of wildlife crossings designed to help ocean animals get around safely. For ocean animals, too many barriers can cut them off from important feeding sites. Overly limited movement can lead to the development of isolated groups that are more likely to go extinct. With more large structures planned for the Ashburton River area, Lear says the cumulative (累积的) effect of multiple barriers is a real concern for the green sawfish’s future. As the climate continues to change, paying attention to the needs of ocean animals is important. Many are moving farther north, and they need suitable habitats to move through. To address this, we can create crossings through human-built structures or protect habitats along their migration routes. As we continue to engineer the ocean, such efforts could go a long way toward protecting ocean life. 59.How does the author present the issue in the first paragraph? A.By detailing research findings. B.By describing a natural scene. C.By addressing public concerns. D.By challenging a common belief. 60.What effect did the structure near the Ashburton River have? A.It provided a new habitat for ocean life. B.It blocked the path of the green sawfish. C.It attracted more new species to the area. D.It drove the green sawfish into deep waters. 61.What does Lear imply about wildlife crossings? A.They have reduced road accidents on land. B.They will replace ocean barriers eventually. C.They have destroyed land animals’ habitats. D.They are urgently needed for ocean animals. 62.What can be a suitable title for the text? A.Wildlife Crossings: From Land to Sea B.When Ocean Life Is in Danger C.The Sawfish That Lost Their Way Home D.Ocean Structures: No Harm Done (C) Nowadays, the thought that a child’s behavior can be bad — mean, greedy, selfish — is often considered unacceptable especially in the rich and democratic West. Children are treated as a unique category, almost a species apart from adults. This appears in the popular “every child is different” belief, which discourages judging or correcting children so as to honor their uniqueness. One explanation for this is the tendency to view children’s emotions as purely physiological releases of stress, beyond moral evaluation. Brain-body parenting, for instance, argues that young children lack the neural wiring for self-control and therefore should not be expected to regulate their behavior. Parents are urged not to correct wrongdoing but simply to narrate emotions — “You’re feeling very angry right now.” But human emotions are inseparable from understanding: Fear reflects a sense of threat, disappointment signals unmet expectations; jealousy implies perceiving another as a rival. Meaning shapes feeling, even in toddlers. Merely labeling a child’s anger without explaining when anger is appropriate or how it may harm others deprives them of an understanding of what they are feeling. The psychoanalyst Wilfred Bion explained in Learning from Experience (1962) that when parents interpret and respond to a baby’s behavior, they transform raw sense experiences into meaningful thoughts. Moral and emotional understanding — knowing justified anger, practicing restraint, respecting others — does not suddenly appear in adulthood. It develops gradually, long before children are able to grasp or express such ideas clearly, as parents offer forms of understanding to their children from the very beginning. As Bion put it, “just as we do not hold back from speaking to little babies because of the worry that they are unable to use words, so we should not hold back from initiating kids to our understanding of what counts as good and bad behavior.” The idea that a parent can remain neutral toward their child’s behaviour is at best naive and at worst dangerous. The deeper question parents need to ask is: Who do we want our toddlers to become? Unless we begin with a vision of the kind of person we hope to raise, we will always be chasing the latest parenting trend, or, perhaps, our child’s every mood. 63.How would parents usually respond to children’s misbehavior in the West? A.They try to categorize all their mistakes. B.They point out and punish it immediately. C.They judge it by moral standards of adults. D.They forgive it to ensure kids’ individuality. 64.What does the author think of the brain-body parenting? A.It overlooks the role of understanding in emotions. B.It is a practical solution to reduce children’s stress. C.It helps parents handle children’s negative moods. D.It highlights the biological basis of kids’ misbehavior. 65.What can we learn about moral education according to Wilfred Bion? A.Kids know nothing about moral rules. B.Language and morals develop hand in hand. C.Moral rules should be nurtured from early ages. D.Children’s abilities mature when they grow up. 66.What does the author advise parents to do in the last paragraph? A.Follow new parenting trends closely. B.Set clear aims for their child’s growth. C.Stay neutral about their child’s behavior. D.Let moods guide their parenting choices. Section C(8’) Directions: Read the passage carefully. Fill in each blank with a proper sentence given in the box. Each sentence can be used only once. Note that there are two more sentences than you need. Efforts to Enhance Wild Elephant Conservation Deep in the rainforests of southwest China’s Yunnan Province, every time winter comes, the amount of wild food goes down, leading to elephants’ frequent visits to villages in search of food. In Jiangcheng County, Pu’er City, more than 50 wild Asian elephants live all year round. The damage they cause is shocking. ____67____ A dedicated team is now working to ensure peaceful coexistence between humans and wild elephants, and Diao Faxing is the leader. He and his coworkers are tasked with monitoring Asian elephants and giving alerts. They must track the movements of dozens of elephants in real time over nearly 1,000 square kilometers. Once spotting elephants in the area, they give warnings to nearby villagers to keep their distance without delay. ____68____ He explained that in 2010, Yunnan Province started a public insurance system for wild animal incidents, fully funded by the government. The elephants usually come to eat villagers’ crops and then leave, which is almost like the locals are raising them. When such incidents occur, insurance companies pay money to households to make up for their losses. Thanks to proper assessment of the damage and government’s financial support, the system works smoothly. In 2022, Yunnan successfully applied to the State Council to establish the Asian Elephant National Park, with the proposed area covering over 386 square kilometers. ____69____. First, China’s National Park Law, which came into force on January 1, 2026, has provided a strong legal foundation for the park’s establishment. And according to the Department of Nature Reserve Management Office, other preparation is also advancing — baseline research, specialized resource surveys, habitat restoration, ecological repair, public education, and conflict resolution. The goal is to enhance protection and spread awareness to support the park’s establishment. Diao sees a win-win situation for both nature and human being. “Building an Asian Elephant National Park gives elephants a home. At the same time, we could develop tourism, with local people helping to attract visitors,” he said. ____70____ And that is the cornerstone of coexistence between people and elephants. A. Furthermore, Diao helps the insurance companies to assess elephant-related damages. B. Now various preparations of the park are progressing steadily in line with good planning. C. Therefore, local people decided to combine-their own efforts to drive the elephants away. D. In response to the application, local laws and policies are made and enacted at a fast pace. E. That is a severe problem facing the local people and different sides are attempting to solve it. F. To him, the park is a combination of locals’ peace and contentment and elephants’ suitable habitats. V. Summary writing (10’) Directions: Read the following passage. Summarize in no more than 60 words the main idea of the passage and how it is illustrated. Use your own words as far as possible. These days, football is one of the most popular sports in the world. Given that Neil Armstrong wanted to take a football to the Moon, we could even say that it is also the most popular sport out of this world! The history of the game goes back over two thousand years to Ancient China. It was then known as cuju(kick ball), a game using a ball of animal skins with hair inside. Goals were hung in the air. Football as we know it today started in Great Britain, where the game was given new rules. That football is such a simple game to play is perhaps the basis of its popularity. It is also a game that is very cheap to play. You don't need expensive equipment; even the ball doesn't have to cost much money. All over the world you can see kids playing to their hearts 'content with a ball made of plastic bags; just like Pele did when he was a boy. Another factor behind football's global popularity is the creativity and excitement on the field. It is fun enough to attract millions of people. You do not have to be a fan to recognize the skill of professional player-how they use their bodies to pass, score and defend can be amazing to see-or to feel the excitement of a game ending with a surprising twist. What's more, football has become one of the best ways for people to communicate: it does not require words, but everyone understands it. It breaks down walls and brings people together on and off the field. Take, for example, the famous football game on Christmas Day 1914. World War I had broken out months before, but British and German soldiers put down their guns and played football together-one moment of peace to remember during years of conflict. “Some people believe football is a matter of life and death, ...... “said Bill Shankly, the famous footballer and manager. “I can assure you it is much, much more important than that.” This might sound funny, but one only has to think about the Earth to realize that our planet is shaped like a football. 71.__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ VI. At the end of each conversation, a question will be asked about what was said. The conversations and the questions will be spoken only once. After you hear a conversation and the question about it, you will have seven seconds to decide which choice is the best answer to the question you have heard. Now you have 100 seconds to read all the choices on the screen. 1. M: Hi, I’d like to check out this novel. Can you scan it for me? W: Of course. Here you are. Please return the book in two weeks. Q: Where does this conversation most probably take place? 2. W: I brought you some homemade cookies. M: Wow, thank you! You have made my day. Q: How does the man feel after receiving the cookies? 3. M: I found some yogurt in the fridge. Want me to bring it out? W: Better not. It has passed its use-by date. Q: What does the woman mean about the yogurt? 4. W: You didn’t seem like yourself at lunch today. I was a little worried. M: Yeah, I was in bad mood and thinking only of myself. Sorry if I seemed distant. Q: How did the man behave at lunch? 5. M: Did John take a close look at the book you lent him? W: Not really. He just sat down and went through a few pages. Q: What does the woman mean about John? 6. W: Guess what—I just found out we won first prize in the city science contest! M: Wow, how about that? Congratulations! Q: How does the man feel at the woman’s words? 7. W: Could you please talk to Sarah for me and tell her how I feel? M: Sorry, I can’t act as your go-between—you should tell her directly. Q: What does the man imply? 8. W: We’ve been going around in circles about this project for half an hour. M: You’re right. Let’s come to the point and decide who’s doing what. Q: What does the man suggest they do? 9. M: I finally managed to organize a meeting between our principal and the city library director next week to discuss the reading program. W: That’s great—it should really help the project move forward. Q: What did the man manage to do? 10. M: The new bridge was finished much earlier than expected. W: Yes, but it’s worrying—they cut corners on the safety checks just to save time. Q: What worries the woman? Section B Directions: In Section B, you will hear two short passages and one longer conversation, and you will be asked several questions on each of the passages and the conversation. The passages and the conversation will be read twice, but the questions will be spoken only once. When you hear a question, you will have seven seconds to decide which choice would be the best answer to the question you have heard. Questions 11 through 13 are based on the following passage. Now you have 30 seconds to read all the choices on the screen. When we talk about finding your ideal weight, a simple calculation really isn’t enough. Numbers alone can’t tell the whole story. To get a better answer, we need to look at both the body and the mind. Modern technology can measure how much muscle, bone, and fat you have. This gives us a much clearer picture than just checking the scale. Men usually stay healthy with a slightly lower fat range, while women need a bit more. And if we add medical checks, we can build a strong medical basis for setting a healthy goal. Regular check-ups are also important because they show whether your weight is helping or harming your long-term health. These results can’t really be replaced by anything else. But it’s not only about medical facts. How you feel matters too. If a certain number doesn’t make you feel confident and comfortable, then it’s not really ideal for you. Even the familiar weight calculation, although not perfect, can still be useful as a rough guide when it’s combined with other factors. So the right weight should not only meet medical standards but also give you motivation. It should be something you’re proud of, something that inspires you to keep going. So ask yourself: what weight will excite me, not just to reach, but to maintain for a lifetime? That might be the best answer of all. Now listen again. Questions 11. What is the speaker mainly discussing? 12. According to the speaker, what is the most important factor in judging a person’s weight? 13. What attitude should people have toward weight? Questions 14 through 16 are based on the following passage. Now you have 30 seconds to read all the choices on the screen. A lot of us secretly believe that being “special” means being better, and that a special life must be happier than an ordinary one. Social media and career goals feed this idea: we chase likes, promotions, or perfect performances, hoping they’ll make us stand out. But in the rush to be noticed, we often miss the ordinary moments that quietly give life its meaning. Real confidence doesn’t come from being above everyone else. It comes from feeling at ease with yourself and knowing you’re valued just for being you. Think of children: if they’re pushed to be “exceptional”, they may spend their whole lives trying to live up to some impossible standard. Sometimes the greatest gift you can give them is the freedom to be ordinary. There’s also a trap in always wanting to feel special. A relationship built on that need can be unstable. The same person who makes you feel like the most amazing human on earth can just as easily make you feel worthless the next day. That’s why there’s something wonderful about ordinary love and ordinary life. It might not shine every moment, but it’s steady, genuine, and real. Being with someone who accepts you exactly as you are can feel like coming home—comforting, grounding, and far more precious than excitement. Now listen again. Questions 14. What is the speaker mainly talking about? 15. According to the speaker, what should children learn to do? 16. What does the speaker say about relationships built on the need to feel special? Questions 17 through 20 are based on the following conversation. Now you have 40 seconds to read all the choices on the screen. M: Hey, have you noticed how so many people are hanging soft toys on their bags these days? W: Yeah! I saw a girl on the subway yesterday with a big panda toy on her backpack. It looked really cute. M: It’s more than just decoration, you know. People treat these toys like small “statements” of who they are. W: Oh, so they actually have meaning behind them? M: Exactly. They’re like “touchable emojis”. They show the wearer’s feelings without saying a word. W: That’s interesting. So it’s kind of like a secret code between people? M: Right. And some even say these toys work as stress relievers. Holding them makes you feel calmer during a busy day. W: That makes sense. School and travelling around can be tiring. Having a soft toy around might really help. M: Plus, they bring people together. If you see someone carrying the same character, you instantly feel like part of the same group. W: True. It’s like a way to find friends with similar tastes. Maybe I should hang one on my bag too! Now listen again. Questions 17. What are the speakers mainly talking about? 18. What does the woman think about the toys? 19. According to the speakers, how can soft toys be helpful? 20. What social effect do the toys create? II. 【答案】 21.typically 22.Or 23.established 24.departure 25.have drawn 26.as 27.prospects 28.a 29.describing 30.how 【导语】本文是一篇说明文。文章主要讨论了“邪修”这一非正统修炼方式在年轻人中的流行现象,以及他们选择这种方式的原因。 21.考查副词。句意:你是否选择正统的“正修”,这通常需要在山洞里修炼数十年? 提示词修饰动词demands,用副词typically作状语,意为“通常”。故填typically。 22.考查连词。句意:或者你愿意冒险选择非正统的“邪修”吗? 根据句意,上文“Do you choose zhengxiu, the orthodox (正统的) one that demands decades of practice in a cave?”和“ do you risk xiexiu, the unorthodox way?”是两个表示选择关系的一般疑问句,用连词or连接,意为“或者”;句首单词首字母大写。故填Or。 23. 故填have drawn。 26.考查介词。句意:另一些则变得荒谬:把高等数学当作催眠工具来读。根据句意,表示“作为……”,用介词as,构成介词短语as a sleep aid作状语。故填as。 27. 故填a。 29.考查非谓语动词。句意:该报没有将其称为对抗权威的斗争,而是将其描述为“一种寻求进步的方式”。“(describe) it as “a way to seek improvement””作伴随状语,describe(描述)用非谓语动词形式,与其逻辑主语It之间是主动关系,用现在分词表主动。故填describing。 30.考查疑问词。句意:“邪修并不是真的教你烹饪方法——它是教你如何重新思考,”一条清晰的评论写道。“ to rethink”作宾语,使用了“特殊疑问词+不定式”复合结构,根据句意,表示“如何重新思考”,应用“特殊疑问词how+不定式”结构作宾语。故填how。 Section B(10’) Directions: Complete the following passage by using the words in the box. 【答案】31. D 32. G 33. A 34. K 35. F 36. B 37. It’s easy to imagine that fish and other ocean creatures swim freely without restriction. A.Wildlife Crossings: From Land to Sea B.When Ocean Life Is in Danger C.The Sawfish That Lost Their Way Home D.Ocean Structures: No Harm Done 【答案】59.D 60.B 61.D 62.A 【导语】本文是一篇说明文。文章主要介绍了海洋动物因人类建造的结构面临生存障碍,呼吁建立海洋动物通道以保护其生存。 59.推理判断题。 根据第一段中“The ocean may appear boundless. It’s easy to imagine that fish and other ocean creatures swim freely without restriction. That assumption, however, is mistaken.(海洋似乎无边无际。人们很容易想象鱼类和其他海洋生物可以不受限制地自由游动。然而,这种假设是错误的)”可知,作者通过挑战一个普遍的观念来引出问题。故选D。 60.细节理解题。 根据第二段中“As Lear had feared, the construction did harm the critically endangered green sawfish — they were unable to pass around the barrier.(正如Lear所担心的那样,这项工程确实对极度濒危的绿锯鳐造成了伤害——它们无法绕过障碍物)”可知,阿什伯顿河附近的结构阻挡了绿锯鳐的路径。故选B。 61.推理判断题。 根据第三段中“Although the bridges are already popular on land, Lear says little attention has been paid to the idea of wildlife crossings designed to help ocean animals get around safely.(尽管这种桥梁在陆地上已经很受欢迎,但Lear表示,专门为帮助海洋动物安全通行而设计的野生动物通道却很少受到关注)”以及第四段中“With more large structures planned for the Ashburton River area, Lear says the cumulative (累积的) effect of multiple barriers is a real concern for the green sawfish’s future.(随着阿什伯顿河地区计划建造更多的大型建筑,Lear表示,多重障碍的累积效应确实令人担忧绿锯鳐的未来)”可推知,Lear暗示海洋动物迫切需要野生动物通道。故选D。 62.主旨大意题。 根据第三段中“On land, wildlife crossings are becoming more common.(在陆地上,野生动物通道越来越普遍)”、最后一段中“To address this, we can create crossings through human-built structures or protect habitats along their migration routes.(为了解决这个问题,我们可以在人类建造的结构中建立通道,或者保护它们迁徙路线上的栖息地)”以及结合全文可知,本文主要介绍了海洋动物因人类建造的结构面临生存障碍,呼吁建立海洋动物通道以保护其生存。由此可知,A选项“野生动物通道:从陆地到海洋”最适合作为文章标题。故选A。 (C) Nowadays, the thought that a child’s behavior can be bad — mean, greedy, selfish — is often considered unacceptable especially in the rich and democratic West. 【答案】63.D 64.A 65.C 66.B 【导语】本文是一篇议论文。文章主要讨论了如今在富裕民主的西方,人们对待孩子不良行为的态度,指出不应因尊重孩子独特性而忽视对其不良行为的纠正,强调了理解在孩子情绪中的重要性,以及道德教育应从小开始,并建议父母要为孩子的成长设定明确目标。 63.细节理解题。根据第一段中的“This appears in the popular ‘every child is different’ belief, which discourages judging or correcting children so as to honor their uniqueness.(这体现在流行的‘每个孩子都不一样’的观念中,这种观念不鼓励评判或纠正孩子,以尊重他们的独特性。)”可知,在西方,父母通常会原谅孩子的不良行为以确保孩子的个性。故选D项。 64.推理判断题。根据第三段“But human emotions are inseparable from understanding: Fear reflects a sense of threat, disappointment signals unmet expectations; jealousy implies perceiving another as a rival. Meaning shapes feeling, even in toddlers. Merely labeling a child’s anger without explaining when anger is appropriate or how it may harm others deprives them of an understanding of what they are feeling.(但人类的情绪与理解是分不开的:恐惧反映了一种威胁感,失望表明期望未得到满足;嫉妒意味着将他人视为竞争对手。意义塑造感觉,即使是在蹒跚学步的孩子身上也是如此。仅仅给孩子贴上愤怒的标签,而不解释什么时候愤怒是合适的,或者它可能会如何伤害他人,这剥夺了他们对自己感受的理解。)”可推知,作者认为大脑—身体育儿法忽视了理解在情绪中的作用。故选A项。 65.推理判断题。根据第四段中的“Moral and emotional understanding — knowing justified anger, practicing restraint, respecting others — does not suddenly appear in adulthood. It develops gradually, long before children are able to grasp or express such ideas clearly, as parents offer forms of understanding to their children from the very beginning.(道德和情感理解——知道什么是合理的愤怒,练习克制,尊重他人——并不是在成年后突然出现的。它是在孩子们能够清楚地理解或表达这些想法之前很久就逐渐发展起来的,因为父母从一开始就向孩子们提供理解的形式。)”可推知,根据Wilfred Bion的观点,道德规则应该从小培养。故选C项。 66.推理判断题。根据最后一段中的“The deeper question parents need to ask is: Who do we want our toddlers to become? Unless we begin with a vision of the kind of person we hope to raise, we will always be chasing the latest parenting trend, or, perhaps, our child’s every mood.(父母需要问的一个更深层次的问题是:我们希望我们的孩子成为什么样的人?除非我们一开始就对我们希望培养的人有一个愿景,否则我们将永远在追逐最新的育儿趋势,或者,也许,我们孩子的每一种情绪。)”可推知,作者建议父母在最后一段为孩子的成长设定明确的目标。故选B项。 Section C(8’) Directions: Read the passage carefully. F. 71.__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 【答案】71.Football enjoys universal popularity with a history tracing back to Ancient China and its modern rules originating from Great Britain.
