【22题详解】
句意:这样一来,你们既涵盖了Luna的想法,满足了Kai的兴趣,也能让Maya不再担心时间。

Body image is about how we see and feel about our bodies, and how we think others see us. Sometimes, we might feel good about our body while other times we might feel sad or worried.
These thoughts and feelings are often influenced (影响) by what’s happening around you. The media often shows only one type of body as “fit and healthy”. Friends or family might give negative (负面的) comments about your body. Clothes in shops sometimes only fit certain body types. Advertisements encourage dieting and weight loss.
If you find yourself comparing your body to what you see every day, you’re not alone. What should you do if you struggle with (对……感到困扰) your body image? Some things can help you get through this.
When you struggle, be kind to yourself and try not to judge yourself by comparing yourself to the many images you see in the media. These images are often digitally changed to make them look “perfect”, and they don’t reflect how people look in real life. There are many types of beauty because everyone sees it differently. And there’s no right or wrong way to look. Spend time with people who make you feel good. It might also help to write down the nice things people say to you, and not just what people say about your looks. Remember, people value you for lots of reasons. If bad feelings do not go away, there are always people you can turn to for help such as a parent, teacher, or doctor.
Keep in mind that beauty comes in different shapes and sizes. Value yourself for who you are, and reach out for support when needed.
31. What can influence how you feel about your body?
A. Clothes in fashion magazines. B. Advertisements for healthy foods.
C. The opinions of friends and family. D. The different body types shown in the media,
32. What does the underlined word “this” in Paragraph 3 refer to?
A. Arguing with your parents. B. Feeling unhappy about how you look.
C. Having a bad relationship with your friends. D. Receiving negative comments about your body.
33. What does the underlined word “judge” in Paragraph 4 mean in Chinese?
A. 取悦 B. 理解 C. 安慰 D. 评判
34. What actions does the passage suggest to deal with body image struggles?
①Avoid unnecessary social activities. ②Write down kind comments about you.
③Turn to parents, teachers or doctors for help. ④Spend time with people who make you feel good.
A. ①②③ B. ②③④ C. ①②④ D. ①③④
35. Which would be the best title for the passage?
A. You Are What You Eat B. All Bodies Are Beautiful
C. How to Lose Weight and Keep Fit D. How to Get More Positive Comments.
【答案】31. C 32. B 33. D 34. B 35. B
结合前文内容,文章开篇提问“What should you do if you struggle with your body image?”,指代因外形、身材产生的负面情绪,因此第三段中“this”指代Feeling unhappy about how you look。
【33题详解】
结合语境“try not to judge yourself by comparing yourself to the many images”,句子表达不要通过和媒体画面对比来评价、判定自己,因此judge 中文含义为“评判”。
【34题详解】
文章第四段依次提及:Spend time with people who make you feel good;write down the nice things people say to you;turn to a parent, teacher, or doctor for help,对应②③④。
【35题详解】

The History of April Fools’ Day
Every year on April 1st, people around the world play jokes on each other. But where did this tradition begin? The origins of April Fools’ Day are still unknown, though many historians believe it started in France during the 16th century.
In 1582, France changed to a new calendar. This change meant that the new year, which used to be celebrated around April 1st, was moved to January 1st. However, news traveled slowly in those days without the internet or phones. Some people didn’t hear about the change for several years, while others simply refused to accept it.
These people continued to celebrate the new year on April 1st. They quickly became the targets of jokes, earning the nickname “April fools.” People would secretly stick paper fish on their backs and call them poisson d’avril (April fish) , which meant a gullible person who was easily caught.
Today, April Fools’ Day is celebrated in many countries, and the jokes have become much more varied. Even big newspapers and television networks join in to have some fun. For example, in 1957, a famous British news program broadcasted a serious-looking report about farmers in Switzerland harvesting spaghetti (意大利面) directly from trees. Thousands of people believed it and actually called the TV station to ask how they could grow their own spaghetti tree!
While the jokes can be funny, the golden rule of April Fools’ Day is that the jokes should always be harmless and end with a good laugh. So, if someone tries to trick you this April 1st, just remember to stay alert!
36. According to historians, when and where did the tradition of April Fools’ Day likely begin?
A. In France during the 16th century. B. In Britain in 1582.
C. In Switzerland in the 20th century. D. In France on January 1st.
37. Why were some people called" April fools" in France?
A. Because they didn’t know how to use the internet.
B. Because they liked to stick paper fish on their friends.
C. Because they continued to celebrate the new year on April 1st.
D. Because they enjoyed eating a special kind of fish.
38. What does the word “gullible” in Paragraph 3 most likely mean?
A. Smart and brave. B. Easily tricked or fooled.
C. Hard-working and careful. D. Angry and upset.
39. What was the famous joke played by a British news program in 1957?
A. They reported that the new year was moved to January.
B. They broadcasted a real cooking show about Italian food.
C. They said that a lot of farmers lost their trees.
D. They reported that farmers were harvesting spaghetti from trees.
40. What can we infer from the last paragraph of the text?
A. We should try to make our jokes as scary as possible.
B. A good April Fools’ joke shouldn’t make anyone feel hurt or upset.
C. Playing jokes on April 1st is no longer popular today.
D. Only children should play practical jokes on this day.
【答案】36. A 37. C 38. B 39. D 40. B

七、任务型阅读 (本大题共5小题,每小题1分,共5分)
At an exhibition in a park in Ezhou, Hubei, a mecha robot (机甲机器人) caught many visitors’ eyes. The robot was so special—it had a look that no other exhibits had. Some visitors thought it used 3D printing technology. But actually, every piece of the robot was made out of cardboard.
Pi Linjun, a local man, made the robot. He likes building mecha robots. His mecha robots have more flexible joints (灵活的关节) and the joints allow them to stand in different ways. However, it is not easy to make such a mecha robot. It usually needs more than 300 pieces of paper and takes at least twenty hours of work. Some even take a whole week.
Pi’s creations are now on show in the park. For him, this is more than an exhibition. It is a big change from a personal hobby to a growing business.
Pi lives with disabilities (残疾) and has difficulty communicating with others. But he never thought of giving up his hobby—he spent lots of time building mecha robots. However, for years, he built mecha robots only for himself. Now, with the park’s help, his creations reach more people. “Working at the park is a wise decision. Park workers often give me suggestions on how to make my work better. My skills were once unknown, but now they are popular,” Pi said.
Pi’s handmade creations are now travelling to other countries. With more creations being sold, he plans to form a small team and build his own brand (品牌). He hopes that his creations will carry more and more Chinese culture one day. Pi’s experience shows that even small hobbies can grow into amazing things with hard work! He also inspires many people to go after their dreams.

A. 取悦 B. 理解 C. 安慰 D. 评判
34. What actions does the passage suggest to deal with body image struggles?
①Avoid unnecessary social activities. ②Write down kind comments about you.
③Turn to parents, teachers or doctors for help. ④Spend time with people who make you feel good.
A. ①②③ B. ②③④ C. ①②④ D. ①③④
