教学重难点
教学重点: 规则动词一般过去式变化规则,本课高频不规则动词过去式: is-was, hear-heard, write-wrote, keep-kept, bring-brought, say-said, give-gave, forget-forgot ,运用一般过去时描述过去发生的事情
教学难点: 不规则动词过去式特殊变化,不遵循加ed规则,精准区分记忆。 语境中正确切换时态,熟练使用一般过去时完成口语对话、语篇填空与书信写作贴合情景,用完整连贯的句子表达安慰、帮助他人的暖心话。
教学过程——主要思路
Step 1 Warming-up & Lead-in
1.教师手持一封“信”,语气低沉地说:
“Class, I just received a letter from Liu Ping, a student in another school. He needs our help. Let me read it to you.”
(信内容简单,含本课核心词汇,如:
“Dear friends, a big fire happened to my home. We lost everything. I feel very sad. My parents and I are in a hard time. Can you help us?”)
2.提问:How do you feel after hearing this? What can we do to help Liu Ping?
学生用中文或简单英语说:donate money, bring clothes, raise money, etc.
教师板书学生提到的关键词(donate, raise, bring, etc.),自然带读并讲解。
教师总结:When someone is in trouble, we should say: We are with you!
板书课题,齐读。
设计意图:求助信营造真实情感场域,学生产生共情,学习动机由内而生。词汇在真实需求中出现,而非孤立带读。为后续阅读刘平的故事做情感铺垫(学生想知道“后来怎么样了”)。
Step 2 Pre-reading
1. 教师呈现两组句子(每组两个句子,一个现在时,一个过去时),让学生找出动词变化。
例:
a. We help our friends. → We helped our friends yesterday.
b. He is sad. → He was sad last week.
学生小组讨论,总结:描述过去的事情,动词要变成过去式。
2. 每组拿到一个信封,里面有课文中的过去式动词卡片(如:happened, lost, heard, donated, raised, was, wrote, kept, brought, said, gave, forgot)。
学生合作将卡片分成两类:规则变化(+ed/d) 和 不规则变化。教师展示分类结果,全班核对,教师补充不规则动词的原形。
3.教师出示3个错误句子(含过去式使用错误),学生以“侦探”身份修改。
例:
Yesterday, I donate 100 yuan.” → “I donated 100 yuan.
She is late for school this morning.” → “She was late...
小组抢答,教师奖励小贴纸。

Step 3 While-reading
活动1
1. 学生自主默读短文,圈画关键信息,独立回答3个问题
全班核对答案,梳理故事脉络:
A:A big fire lost everything of Liu Ping's family.
B:His classmates, teachers and the whole school helped him.
C:They brought clothes and food, donated lucky money, raised lots of money for his family.
全班齐读课文,纠正发音,梳理故事起因-经过-结果
设计意图:锻炼学生快速抓取语篇细节信息的能力,理清故事逻辑;齐读巩固课文语感,夯实语篇理解,学生能轻松跟上节奏,全员参与课堂。
活动2 语法探究:一般过去式变化
1. 小组合作探究:圈出课文里所有过去式动词,分类整理- 规则变化: happened, lost, heard, donated, raised
不规则变化: is → was
2. 教师精讲规律- 规则动词:过去事情,动词末尾+ed/d
不规则动词:特殊变形,无ed后缀,需要单独记忆
3. 当堂填空巩固不规则动词
write → ______ keep → ______ bring → ______
say → ______ give → ______ forget → ______
师生共同填写答案:wrote, kept, brought, said, gave, forgot
✅ 设计意图:把语法知识点放回课文语境里学习,拒绝死记硬背;小组合作探究,让学生互帮互助,共同总结规律,加深语法记忆,突破本课不规则动词难点。
活动3 分层当堂练习
完成课本4题短文填空,独立完成后同桌互改

Step 4 Post-reading

课本1题情景:同学考试失利、受伤、英语口语不好,4人一组创编对话

B: Don't worry. We are with him. We can help him with his lessons.
每组挑选1个情景,创编2-3轮对话,上台展示分享

补全刘平感谢信,用单词正确过去式填空

1. 师生共同回顾:本课单词、一般过去式规则+不规则变化
2. 情感总结:Friends are always with us. We should help people in need.
Homework
1. 抄写本课不规则动词过去式,每个单词3遍;背诵课文重点句子
2. 用3-5个过去式句子,写一写你上周帮助同学的一件小事
3.和家人聊聊身边温暖互助的小事,用英语简单分享
