For Pu Bingmei, what began as love for the sea has transformed into a lifelong mission: preserving ocean cleanliness, rescuing stranded (搁浅的) whales, and awakening public responsibility.
Growing up in arid Northwest China, the 39-year-old always harbored a longing for the sea. Arriving in Sanya for college in 2007, she recalls crystal-clear water with fish gliding beneath. However, frequent seaside visits exposed a grim reality: certain bays emitted smelly odors, with piled garbage and dark sand. Resolved to remedy the situation, she initiated weekly volunteer cleanups—a commitment that became her full-time devotion to the Blue Ribbon Ocean Conservation Association.
The association, initially fewer than 10 members, operated on a simple belief: the more litter removed from beaches, the less would reach the ocean. Through systematic monitoring, they identified insufficient trash bins and infrequent collection, offering advice to local authorities.
Recognizing the unsustainability of fishing, Pu drew on her tourism management background to chart a new course. She persuaded villagers to abandon fine-mesh nets and cut fishing fleet, introducing wellness tourism. This drove an economic shift, creating over 200 homestays and local jobs, curbing out-migration.
For Pu, marine conservation extends beach cleaning to saving marine mammals. Rescuing stranded whales is daunting: their bodies are built for water, and land pressure harms them. Improper handling causes secondary injuries. The team taught fishermen proper practices—never pushing stranded animals back—and trained firefighters and divers with rescue kits.
What strikes her most, however, is the surge in public ecological awareness. Whereas people once joined for small gifts; they now participate out of genuine initiative. In 2024, she led China’s first successful rescue of a short-finned pilot whale, with over 100 volunteers holding it upright around the clock to prevent drowning.
“The oceans are connected,” Pu says. “From picking up trash to inspiring action, concrete deeds and global cooperation truly make a difference.”
24. What motivated Pu to start weekly cleanups?
A. Her lifelong love for the ocean. B. The awful coastal conditions.
C. The option to join an association. D. Her college education in Sanya.
25. What efforts has Pu made to save the ocean?
A. Rescuing endangered wildlife. B. Training professional rescuers only.
C. Advocating sustainable tourism. D. Resolving the environmental crisis.
26. Why does the author mention the 2024 whale rescue?
A. To report a rare ocean event. B. To celebrate the combined efforts.
C. To introduce a new rescue method. D. To show rising public eco-awareness.
27. What can be a suitable title for the text?
A. The mission of the Blue Ribbon B. From Sea Lover to Ocean Guardian
C. Tourism Development in Sanya D. A Volunteer Organization’s Growth
C
Throughout my career as a general therapist and medical educator, the doctor-patient relationship has long been a source of both anxiety and satisfaction. I have pursued psychological training to facilitate communication with my patients and teach medical students empathy and self-reflection. I see my work as a privilege—not in the sense of power, but in appreciation of my patients’ trust.
Recently I read Charlotte Blease’s Dr Bot, which argues that AI could fix virtually all healthcare flaws and that patients would be better off if doctors were laid off and AI put in charge. Her claim strikes me as a smokescreen. She unfairly blames doctors for health system blind spots such as long waiting time in the UK and unequal insurance coverage in the US, while ignoring national imbalances. Worse, she argues against empathy, citing research that it interferes with rational decision-making. But countless studies show empathy boosts patient satisfaction and treatment adherence (坚持).
Blease holds the outdated view that medicine remains a man-dominated profession of fifty years ago. However, doctors’ awareness of the dynamics of gender, race, sexuality and class—as well as other potential biases has risen dramatically in recent years. Medical students in Australia, at least, are now taught self-reflective practice alongside ethics and communication skills.
AI undoubtedly aids medicine, from consultation notes to literature reviews, but it should compensate for, not replace, doctors. As Dhruv Khullar notes, over-reliance risks cognitive deskilling and failure during crises. Today’s AI-literate young doctors, with communication skills, are redefining the profession.
While I do not defend medical overconfidence or avoidable errors, dismissing the entire profession is unreasonable. AI will assist with paperwork, freeing doctors for genuine patient care. As one physician put it, AI should steer you through, not away from, the medical system. Doctors who use AI may replace those who don’t, but AI will never replace human empathy and touch.
28. What does the author mean by “privilege”?
A. Honor from patients’ trust. B. Control over medical resources.
C. Financial reward as a doctor. D. Social status from the medical job.
29. What might Blease agree with?
A. Empathy enhances medical decisions. B. Doctors cause long waiting time.
C. Modern doctors show no racial biases. D. AI can better handle physical exams.
30. What is the purpose of Paragraph 3?
A. To show medical students’ progress. B. To support Blease’s opinion on AI.
C. To challenge Blease’s outdated view. D. To introduce medical ethics teaching.
31. What can be inferred from the last two paragraphs?
A. Human care is irreplaceable. B. Young doctors reshape medicine.
C. AI makes medical systems worse. D. AI will ultimately replace doctors.
D
As the world shifts toward electric vehicles and renewable energy, the demand for high-performance lithium batteries is growing fast. However, traditional manufacturing (制造) methods, which rely on flat layers, often face limits in design and efficiency. Now, researchers are turning to 3D printing to reshape how these essential power sources are made.
A recent review published in Materials Science and Engineering: R: Reports by a team from Tohoku University offers a comprehensive overview of this emerging technology. The study shows that 3D printing can break free from flat designs, allowing engineers to build complex, three-dimensional structures inside batteries. One of the key advantages of 3D printing in the battery manufacturing process is its ability to create complex geometries and customized designs that are impossible with traditional methods.
Moreover, 3D printing enables faster prototyping (原型) and reduces the time and cost required to develop new battery designs. It shortens the path for ions (离子) to travel, improves electron flow, and reduces mechanical stress during charge-discharge cycles. In short, it builds better performance directly into the battery’s architecture.
One promising application of 3D-printed lithium batteries is in electric vehicles. By customizing the battery design to fit the available space in a vehicle frame, manufacturers can increase energy density and extend the driving range. Beyond electric vehicles, 3D-printed lithium batteries also show great potential in portable electronics, grid-scale energy storage, and renewable energy projects. The ability to create lightweight, high-performance batteries through 3D printing is driving innovation across various sectors and contributing to the advancement of sustainable energy technologies.
As 3D printing continues to evolve, the future of lithium batteries looks brighter than ever. Researchers are pushing the boundaries of battery design and manufacturing, drawing on the unique strengths of 3D printing to develop next-generation energy storage solutions that are more efficient, reliable, and eco-friendly. From lab to industry, 3D printing is transforming the way we produce lithium batteries and shaping the future of energy storage.
32. What is the key feature of 3D printing in battery manufacturing?
A. Costly. B. Tailored. C. Complex. D. Standardized.
33. How does 3D printing improve battery performance?
A. By bettering its inner structure. B. By polishing up flat designs.
C. By lengthening ion moving paths. D. By shortening charging time.
34. What is a possible use of 3D-printed lithium batteries?
A. Power for medical operations. B. Replacement for solar panels.
C. Storage of hydrogen energy. D. Application in electric vehicles.
35. What is the text mainly about?
A. A review of new lithium batteries. B. 3D printing reshaping battery making.
C. 3D printing for solid-state batteries. D. The future of electric vehicle batteries.

Team sports are a fantastic way to have fun, stay active, and build lasting friendships. Whether you’re a seasoned athlete or a complete beginner, there’s a team sport out there for everyone.
36 Here are some tips on how to get started.
Start by looking inward. Your physical strengths, personal interests, and preferred level of competition all matter. For example, if you enjoy fast-paced action, basketball or soccer might suit you, while volleyball or baseball could be better for those who like strategy and teamwork.
37 Different sports demand different amounts of time, money, and travel. If your schedule is tight, look for teams that meet only once or twice a week. Meanwhile, costs for equipment, league fees, and transportation can add up quickly, so it’s wise to set a budget beforehand.
Once you’ve narrowed down your options, try out a few sports before fully committing.
38 Make sure any equipment you use is affordable, comfortable, and protective enough for your needs. Comfort and safety should never be ignored—wearing the wrong gear can lead to unnecessary injuries.
39 Remember to be patient with yourself and accept that mistakes are part of learning. Don’t hesitate to ask experienced players or coaches for guidance. They can provide valuable insights and guidance to help you improve your skills. With regular practice and a positive attitude, skills will improve naturally.
Beyond the game itself, team sports bring lasting benefits. Regular participation strengthens the heart, builds muscle, and improves sleep. Socially, being part of a team creates strong friendships and a supportive environment. Working toward a common goal with teammates also teaches communication, trust, and resilience—skills that benefit every area of life. So take the first step. 40
A. Practical factors also play a role.
B. The more you practice, the better you’ll become.
C. Beginners often feel nervous about joining a team.
D. Many local clubs offer trial sessions or rental equipment.
E. However, choosing the right one does require careful thought.
F. Many people give up early simply because they lack professional guidance.
G. Find a local team, grab some basic gear, and discover the joy of playing together.

It was a rainy, damp December day, the cold drizzle pattering against my car window as I headed to the store to pick up another week’s worth of food. The gray sky hung low, and the air was filled with the chill of winter, making the whole day feel gloomy. I had put off shopping for Christmas presents until later in the month, fearing the chaotic crowds of holiday shoppers—they always made the store feel tight and overwhelming. As I drove, I kept the CD player on, turning up the soft music to drown out the radio news, which always seemed to be filled with stories of division and conflict, leaving me feeling helpless and discouraged.
Still, I gave my young son a dollar, telling him to put it in the charity worker’s red container by the store door—a small act of kindness to ease the world’s divisions. We went in, and the warm air inside hit us, a welcome relief from the cold rain outside. We quickly filled our cart with groceries—fresh vegetables, bread, and some treats for the upcoming holiday. Then we walked towards the self-checkout machines. I hated using them; I much preferred chatting with the friendly cashiers, who always had a smile and a kind word. But the line at the regular registers was five deep, and I just didn’t have the time to wait.
As I pulled my cart up to a self-checkout machine, I heard the man next to me complaining quietly, his face lined with frustration. He only had a few items—a loaf of bread, a carton of milk, and a jar of jam—but every time he put his wrinkled, well-worn twenty-dollar bill into the machine, it was rejected. He sighed heavily, running a hand through his gray hair, clearly trying his hardest not to curse. I could tell he was growing more and more upset, his hands shaking slightly as he tried again and again to feed the bill into the machine.

Factors Influencing Students’ Major Choice
Recently, our school conducted a survey among students about factors influencing their college major choice. The results are as follows.
As the data indicates, 38% of the students regard national needs as the top consideration, ranking first. 35% tend to follow their personal interest, which is also a key factor. 20% care most about career prospects, while only 7% take other aspects into account.
From my perspective, we are supposed to make a wise and balanced choice. While job prospects are important, we students should give more weight to our genuine interests. Passion fuels long-term motivation and satisfaction. More importantly, considering national demands can not only lead to meaningful careers but also allow us to respond to the call of society. Only in this way can we realize our dreams and make valuable contributions to our country.
I quickly grabbed a newer twenty out of my purse. It was crisp and clean, having just come from the bank that morning. I tapped the old man gently on the shoulder and handed him the bill with a warm smile. “Excuse me,” I said softly. “Try this one.” He looked up, his tired eyes meeting mine with a mixture of surprise and hesitation. Then he took the bill and fed it into the machine carefully. This time, the green light flashed, and a soft whir announced its acceptance. He let out a long, quiet breath. “Thank you, ma’am” he murmured repeatedly before pressing his wrinkled twenty-dollar note into my hand.
The old man waved goodbye, leaving us there with that torn twenty in hand. My son tugged my sleeve. “Mama, can we still put that in the kettle?” he asked. I smiled and nodded. As we walked out into the cold drizzle, he dropped the old twenty into the kettle as he usually did, hoping it could bring a little joy to someone in need. That torn, rejected bill had found its place—just like a small kindness on a gloomy December day. As we drove home, we heard a quote from Mother Teresa on the radio: "Help one person at a time and always start with the person nearest you."
Text 1
M: This is a great city. The air quality may not be the best, but the mild climate here makes me happy.
W: But isn’t this city located in an earthquake zone? Doesn’t that bother you? It certainly terrifies me. (1)
M: Well, we can do our best to prepare ourselves.
Text 2
M: What’s your top tip for parents of young children?
W: The most important thing is to understand that behavior is a form of communication. When little kids misbehave, they’re telling you that something is wrong. (2) So, rather than getting angry, get curious and figure out what’s really going on.
Text 3
W: You’re at school early, Tom.
M: It’s such a beautiful day, so I decided to walk instead of taking the bus as usual. (3) I set off early to make sure I was on time.
W: Good idea. I was caught in a traffic jam as I drove here.
Text 4
W: My apple pie never tastes as nice as yours. What’s your secret?
M: I’m not sure, but perhaps it’s because I use butter rather than oil for baking. The salty flavor of the butter really adds something, I think. Give it a try and see if it makes a difference. (4)
Text 5
M: This Chinese calligraphy is beautiful. (5) Does it mean anything?
W: It certainly has meaning, and it’s also regarded as a work of art in China.
M: Someone told me that the artists often use beautifully carved ink stones and brushes made of animal hair.
M: Is this place new?
W: Yes, it just opened a few weeks ago. It’s great, isn’t it?
M: Yeah. A place where you can get coffee and cakes in the evenings. This is what this town has been missing...
W: Exactly! I don’t always want to go to a bar at night. It’s nice to have an alternative.
M: Definitely. So, did you like the movie shown yesterday? (7)
W: I thought it was better than the first one, although my favorite actor was in the first movie. The plot of yesterday’s movie was much more exciting.
M: Yeah, the action scenes were brilliant, (7) and there was no boring love story!
W: Oh, come on. There’s nothing wrong with a bit of romance in a movie!
M: Did you call the electricity company? (9)
W: Yes. It seems we won’t get our power back until tomorrow. (9)
M: Really? Oh, dear… I was planning to do some online research for my school project.
W: And I was so excited to watch that popular new police show online.
M: What are we going to do now?
W: I don’t know. We can’t even charge our phones.
M: I guess we’ll have to find some good old-fashioned fun, won’t we?
W: Like what?
M: Well, why don’t we try playing a game?
W: Good idea! What about mahjong? I recently bought a set, and I want to learn to play.
M: Don’t we need at least three people for that?
W: Hmm… True. Maybe Mr. Wang would like to join us! (10)
M: Good idea. He always seems a bit lonely. I’ll go next door and ask him. (10)
W: Why are you allowed to use a laptop for writing essays while everybody else has to use pen and paper? (12) It doesn’t seem fair!
M: It’s because I have a medical condition that affects my joints(关节), especially in my wrists and fingers.
W: Oh, really? I wasn’t aware of that.
M: Yes, it’s quite unpleasant. Writing long texts by hand is quite painful for me.
W: How did you find out you had this condition?
M: Well, I struggled a lot with my handwriting in primary school. The teacher gave me a special pencil to try, which helped a little, but not much.
W: I see.
M: Eventually, the pain became so severe that my parents took me to see a doctor. The doctor then wrote a letter to the school, recommending that I be allowed to type essays and reports. Fortunately, the school agreed.
W: That’s great.
M: It really helped me a lot. I used to struggle with my grades simply because the pain was so intense that I couldn’t finish my homework and tests. (13) Now, I’m doing really well.
W: Honey, I just finished grocery shopping and bought everything I need for the dinner party tomorrow. (15) (16)
M: What dinner party?
W: Your father’s new boss is coming over for dinner with her husband and their two young kids. Remember?
M: Oh yes. That’s right. I’m not required to be here for the dinner, am I? (15)
W: No, I assumed you wouldn’t be because you usually go to your study group on Friday evenings. (15) Right?
M: Yeah, that’s what I had planned. Our teacher mentioned a really challenging science test next week, so we’re going to study for that.
W: Well, that’s fine. But listen… I’ve bought a special dessert for tomorrow night. (16) I’m going to put it in the fridge, so please don’t touch it. Okay?
M: Okay, I won’t. I promise.
W: If you’re hungry, you can have cookies or pie instead. But the cake is for our guests. (16)
M: I promise I won’t touch it.
W: I’d also appreciate it if you could do some cleaning this evening. Dad will take care of the bathrooms and windows. Could you please sweep the floor? (17) I won’t have time as I’ll be busy cooking and decorating the dining room.
M: No problem. I’ll do it right now before I start my homework. (17)
W: Great. That’s a big help. Thank you, sweetheart.
Text 10
I do believe we have turned the corner and winter is behind us. All the signs of spring are here. (18) The early flowers are trying to come out. It’s been dry for the past seven days, but when the rain does eventually come, there will be a mass of flowers everywhere. I really think this is my favorite season. Summer is fantastic, of course, and the autumn colors are incredible, but there’s such a lovely feeling of hope in spring. I meant to plant some vegetables today, but my neighbor warned me not to be too eager. (19) He pointed out that there was still a chance of frost at this time of year, so maybe I’ll wait a week or two. (19) Actually, I might get my paints out of the cupboard later and paint a picture of this scene. That’s how beautiful it is. In fact, I’ll do that once I have finished sweeping the path. I suppose it would be easier to just take a picture of it with my phone, but it really deserves something more than that. If something is as pretty as a picture, then it actually deserves to become a picture. I’m going to paint a picture of the scene. (20)
https://www.laopera.org/whats-on/packages
文中表格关于Classic 5的描述提到“Lock in your price from $164 for all 5 shows”,即锁定价格不受需求波动影响,因此D项“A fixed price despite demand”正确。A项“Priority entry”仅在All-in 11 shows中提到;B项“Free ticket replacements”文中未提及,丢失补票需付费$2;C项“A 15% discount”不准确,文中写的是“MORE THAN 15% OFF”,并非恰好15%。
关于换票,文中明确写道“All-in, Classic and Aria package holders enjoy exchanges free of charge”,因此B项正确。
https://epaper.chinadaily.com.cn/a/202603/30/WS69c9c537a310ec22b1fd368c.html
文中提到2024年鲸鱼救援时写道:“What strikes her most, however, is the surge in public ecological awareness... In 2024, she led China’s first successful rescue... with over 100 volunteers...”
B项“From Sea Lover to Ocean Guardian”准确概括了这一主题。
https://insidestory.org.au/will-ai-replace-doctors/
第一段中作者说“I see my work as a privilege—not in the sense of power, but in appreciation of my patients’ trust.”
Blease“unfairly blames doctors for health system blind spots such as long waiting times”,说明她认为医生造成了等待时间长的问题。
最后两段作者明确指出“AI will never replace human empathy and touch”,并强调AI应辅助医生而非取代。

文中提到3D打印可以“create complex geometries and customized designs that are impossible with traditional methods”,其中“customized”对应B项“Tailored”(定制的)。
文中说明3D打印“builds better performance directly into the battery’s architecture”,即通过改善电池的内部结构来提升性能。
文中明确提到“One promising application of 3D-printed lithium batteries is in electric vehicles”,因此D项正确。
https://www.boredombusted.com/list-of-team-sports/
E项“However, choosing the right one does require careful thought”起到承上启下的作用,引出后文的具体建议。
A项“Practical factors also play a role”概括了这些内容,适合作为本段主题句。
D项“Many local clubs offer trial sessions or rental equipment”提供了尝试运动的具体方式,与上下文衔接自然。
C项“Beginners often feel nervous about joining a team”引出这一话题,使后文的建议更有针对性。
40. G 最后一段鼓励读者迈出第一步,G项“Find a local team, grab some basic gear, and discover the joy of playing together”以号召性语言收束全文,符合结尾段的风格。

For Pu Bingmei, what began as love for the sea has transformed into a lifelong mission:
preserving ocean cleanliness, rescuing stranded (whales, and awakening public
responsibility.
Growing up in arid Northwest China, the 39-year-old always harbored a longing for the sea.
Ariving in Sanya for college in 2007,she recalls crystal-clear water with fish gliding beneath
However, frequent seaside visits exposed a grim reality:certain bays emitted smelly odors, with
piled garbage and dark sand.Resolved to remedy the situation, she initiated weekly volunteer
cleanups-a commitment that became her full-time devotion to the Blue Ribbon Ocean
Conservation Association.
The association,initially fewer than 10 members,operated on a simple belief:the more litter
removed from beaches, the less would reach the ocean.Through systematic monitoring, they
identified insufficient trash bins and infrequent collection, offering advice to local authorities.
Recognizing the unsustainability of fishing,Pu drew on her tourism management background
to chart a new course. She persuaded villagers to abandon fine-mesh nets and cut fishing fleet,
introducing wellness tourism. This drove an economic shift, creating over 200 homestays and local
jobs,curbing out-migration.
For Pu,marine conservation extends beach cleaning to saving marine mammals.Rescuing
stranded whales is daunting:their bodies are built for water, and land pressure harms them.
Improper handling causes secondary injuries. The team taught fishermen proper practices-never
pushing stranded animals back-and trained firefighters and divers with rescue kits
What strikes her most, however,is the surge in public ecological awareness.Whereas people
once joined for small gifts;they now participate out of genuine initiative. In 2024,she led China's
first successful rescue of a short-finned pilot whale, with over 100 volunteers holding it upright
around the clock to prevent drowning
"The oceans are connected,"Pu says."From picking up trash to inspiring action, concrete
deeds and global cooperation truly make a difference."
24.What motivated Pu to start weekly cleanups?
A.Her lifelong love for the ocean.
B.The aw ful coastal conditions.
C.The option to join an association.
D.Her college education in Sanya.
25.What efforts has Pu made to save the ocean?
A.Rescuing endangered wildlife
B.Training professional rescuers only
C.Advocating sustainable tourism
D.Resolving the environmental crisis.
26.Why does the author mention the 2024 whale rescue?
A.To report a rare ocean event.
B.To celebrate the combined efforts.
C.To introduce a new rescue method.
D.To show rising public eco-awareness.
27.What can be a suitable title for the text?
A.The mission of the Blue Ribbon
B.From Sea Lover to Ocean Guardian
C.Tourism Development in Sanya
D.A Volunteer Organization's Growth

Throughout my career as a general therapist and medical educator, the doctor-patient
relationship has long been a source of both anxiety and satisfaction.I have pursued psychological
training to facilitate communication with my patients and teach medical students empathy and
self-reflection.I see my work as a privilegenot in the sense of power, but in appreciation of my
patients'trust.
Recently I read Charlotte Blease's Dr Bot,which argues that AI could fix virtually all
healthcare flaws and that patients would be better off if doctors were laid off and AI put in charge.
Her claim strikes me as a smokescreen. She unfairly blames doctors for health system blind spots
such as long waiting time in the UK and unequal insurance coverage in the US,while ignoring
national imbalances.Worse, she argues against empathy, citing research that it interferes with
rational decision-making.But countless studies show empathy boosts patient satisfaction and
treatment adherence(坚持).
Blease holds the outdated view that medicine remains a man-dominated profession of fifty
years ago. However, doctors'awareness of the dynamics of gender, race, sexuality and class-as
well as other potential biases has risen dramatically in recent years.Medical students in Australia,at
least, are now taught self-reflective practice alongside ethics and communication skills
AI undoubtedly aids medicine, from consultation notes to literature reviews, but it should
compensate for,not replace, doctors. As Dhruv Khullar notes,over-reliance risks cognitive
deskilling and failure during crises.Today's AI-literate young doctors, with communication skills,
are redefining the profession.
While I do not defend medical overconfidence or avoidable errors, dismissing the entire
profession is unreasonable.AI will assist with paperwork, freeing doctors for genuine patient care.
As one physician put it,AI should steer you through, not away from, the medical system.Doctors
who use AI may replace those who don't,but AI will never replace human empathy and touch
28.What does the author mean by "privilege"?
A.Honor from patients'trust.
B.Control over medical resources.
C.Financial reward as a doctor.
D.Social status from the medical job.
29.What might Blease agree with?
A.Empathy enhances medical decisions.
B.Doctors cause long waiting time.
C.Modern doctors show no racial biases
D.AI can better handle physical exams.
30.What is the purpose of Paragraph 3?
A.To show medical students'progress.
B.To support Blease's opinion on Al.
C.To challenge Blease's outdated view.
D.To introduce medical ethics teaching.
31.What can be inferred from the last two paragraphs?
A.Human care is irreplaceable.
B.Young doctors reshape medicine.
C.AI makes medical systems worse.
D.AI will ultimately replace doctors.

As the world shifts toward electric vehicles and renewable energy, the demand for
high-performance lithium batteries is growing fast. However, traditional manufacturing (
methods, which rely on flat layers, often face limits in design and efficiency. Now,researchers are
turning to 3D printing to reshape how these essential power sources are made.
A recent review published in Materials Science and Engineering:R:Reports by a team from
Tohoku University offers a comprehensive overview of this emerging technology. The study shows
that 3D printing can break free from flat designs, allowing engineers to build complex,
three-dimensional structures inside batteries. One of the key advantages of 3D printing in the
battery manufacturing process is its ability to create complex geometries and customized designs
that are impossible with traditional methods.
Moreover,3D printing enables faster prototyping()and reduces the time and cost required
to develop new battery designs. It shortens the path for ions (to travel, improves electron flow,
and reduces mechanical stress during charge-discharge cycles. In short,it builds better performance
directly into the battery's architecture.
One promising application of 3D-printed lithium batteries is in electric vehicles.By
customizing the battery design to fit the available space in a vehicle frame, manufacturers can
increase energy density and extend the driving range.Beyond electric vehicles,3D-printed lithium
batteries also show great potential in portable electronics,grid-scale energy storage, and renewable
energy projects. The ability to create lightweight,high-performance batteries through 3D printing is
driving innovation across various sectors and contributing to the advancement of sustainable energy
technologies.

Different sports demand different amounts of time, money, and travel. If your
schedule is tight, look for teams that meet only once or twice a week.Meanwhile, costs for
equipment, league fees, and transportation can add up quickly,so it's wise to set a budget
beforehand.
Once you've narrowed down your options, try out a few sports before fully committing.
38 Make sure any equipment you use is affordable, comfortable, and protective enough
for your needs.Comfort and safety should never be ignored-wearing the wrong gear can lead to
unnecessary injuries.
39
Remember to be patient with yourself and accept that mistakes are part of
learning.Don't hesitate to ask experienced players or coaches for guidance. They can provide
valuable insights and guidance to help you improve your skills. With regular practice and a positive
attitude,skills will improve naturally
Beyond the game itself, team sports bring lasting benefits.Regular participation strengthens
the heart, builds muscle, and improves sleep.Socially, being part of a team creates strong
friendships and a supportive environment.Working toward a common goal with teammates also
teaches communication, trust, and resilience-skills that benefit every area of life.So take the first
step.40
A.Practical factors also play a role.
B.The more you practice,the better you'll become.
C.Beginners often feel nervous about joining a team.
D.Many local clubs offer trial sessions or rental equipment
E.However, choosing the right one does require careful thought
F.Many people give up early simply because they lack professional guidance.
G.Find a local team, grab some basic gear, and discover the joy of playing together.

It was a rainy, damp December day,the cold drizzle pattering against my car window as I
headed to the store to pick up another week's worth of food. The gray sky hung low,and the air was
filled with the chill of winter, making the whole day feel gloomy.I had put off shopping for
Christmas presents until later in the month, fearing the chaotic crowds of holiday shoppers-they
always made the store feel tight and overwhelming. As I drove,I kept the CD player on,turning up
the soft music to drown out the radio news, which always seemed to be filled with stories of
division and conflict, leaving me feeling helpless and discouraged.
Still,I gave my young son a dollar, telling him to put it in the charity worker's red container by
the store door-a small act of kindness to ease the world's divisions. We went in,and the warm air
inside hit us,a welcome relief from the cold rain outside. We quickly filled our cart with
groceries-fresh vegetables, bread, and some treats for the upcoming holiday. Then we walked
towards the self-checkout machines.I hated using them;I much preferred chatting with the friendly
cashiers, who always had a smile and a kind word. But the line at the regular registers was five deep,
and I just didn't have the time to wait.
As I pulled my cart up to a self-checkout machine,I heard the man next to me complaining
quietly, his face lined with frustration. He only had a few items-a loaf of bread,a carton of milk,
and a jar of jam-but every time he put his wrinkled,well-worn twenty-dollar bill into the machine,
it was rejected. He sighed heavily, running a hand through his gray hair, clearly trying his hardest
not to curse.I could tell he was growing more and more upset, his hands shaking slightly as he tried
again and again to feed the bill into the machine.
