has ended已经结束;has been on已进行;has started已开始;has been over已结束。根据“since half an hour ago”可知,此处应使用现在完成时且需要延续性动词,排除AC;根据“No wonder all the singers have left.”

—Yes. The Time Machine.
A.when to read B.which to read C.where to read D.how to read
应填which to read。

—Really? ________.
A.You’re welcome B.Be back soon C.It’s nothing D.Wish you a good trip

Faris said yes.
Peterson’s connection with Faris led him to start Faces of Santa Ana, a non-profit organization that focuses on painting portraits of the homeless and getting them off the 20 .

Rob had problems with bullies at school for eleven years. He was often scared and tired. When he was fifteen, however, he decided to do something about his problems. He walked into a newspaper office and told them about the bullying. His story went into the newspaper and soon all the TV stations in Canada wanted to talk to him about his experiences.
After that, Rob continued his studies at school, but in his free time he helped other people with bullying problems. With a friend Katie, he made a website called www.bullyingcanada.ca. People on the website can find advice, stories and poems about bullying, in both English and French. When people are upset, they can talk on the phone or online to Rob and his team. Every weekend Rob has to answer emails from the website. He also speaks to children, teachers and members of government (政府) around the country about bullying.
Rob’s most important message is “When bullies are unkind to you, it isn’t your fault. There’s nothing wrong with you, so you should try to keep trusting yourself. And remember that there are people caring about your problems. You just have to find those people.”
One of Rob’s ideas is “Blue Day”, a special day for stopping bullying in schools. Students have to wear blue clothes and in class they learn how to stop bullying. More than 150 Canadian schools now celebrate Blue Day, but Rob won’t stop until there’s a Blue Day in every school in Canada.
29.How did Rob often feel at school before he was fifteen?
A.Relaxed. B.Unhappy. C.Surprised. D.Glad.
30.What can people do on the website www.bullyingcanada.ca?
A.People learn how to write poems. B.People practice both English and French.
C.People get blue clothes for free. D.People get advice on bullying problems.
31.What does the underlined part “those people” in Paragraph 3 refer to?
A.People who always bullied others before.
B.People who help others with bullying problems.
C.People who are members of the government.
D.People who write emails about their problems.
32.What is the correct order of these events?
a. Rob and his friend made a website.
b. Someone bullied Rob at school.
c. Rob created “Blue Day”.
d. Rob told his story in public.
A.a-b-c-d.
B.b-a-d-c.
C.b-d-a-c.
D.c-b-a-d.
29.文中第一段提到“Rob had problems with bullies at school for eleven years. He was often scared and tired.”,说明在十五岁之前,Rob因为在学校遭受欺凌,经常感到害怕和疲惫,整体是不开心的。
30.第二段“With a friend Katie, he made a website called http://www.bullyingcanada.ca. People on the website can find advice, stories and poems about bullying, in both English and French.”
31.第三段中Rob说“And remember that there are people caring about your problems. You just have to find those people.”,结合前文他帮助有欺凌问题的人,可知“those people”指的是那些帮助他人解决欺凌问题的人。
32.首先“Rob had problems with bullies at school for eleven years.”表明有人在学校欺负Rob,即b事件;然后“When he was fifteen, however, he decided to do something about his problems. He walked into a newspaper office and told them about the bullying.”说明Rob公开讲述了自己的故事,即d事件;接着“With a friend Katie, he made a website called http://www.bullyingcanada.ca.”说明Rob和他的朋友创建了网站,即a事件;最后“One of Rob’s ideas is ‘Blue Day’, a special day for stopping bullying in schools.”
One morning, a highly successful businessman, running a big company, was getting ready to go to his office.
When he reached into his car and opened the door, a dog sleeping under his car suddenly came out and bit his leg! The businessman quickly picked up a few rocks and threw them at the dog, but none hit the dog. The dog ran away.
Upon reaching his office, the businessman called a meeting of his managers to ask about their tasks, and during the meeting he put the anger of the dog on them. The managers also got upset by the anger of their boss and they put their anger to the workers under them. The chain of this reaction kept going, and finally the anger reached on the office cleaner.
Now, there was no one working under the cleaner! So, when the office time was over, he reached his home, and his wife opened the door. She asked him, “Why are you so late today?” The cleaner said loudly, “I didn’t go to the office to play football. I went to work, so don’t irritate me with your stupid questions!”
So, the wife got upset for no reason. She put her anger on her son who was watching TV, saying, “This is all you do. You have no interest in studying! Turn off the TV now!”
The son got upset too! He walked out of his house and saw a dog passing by looking at him. He picked up a rock and hit the dog in anger. The window of the businessman’s car in front of the building was broken unluckily.
33.The businessman got angry at the meeting because _________.
A.the company had a lot of problems B.the managers didn’t finish the tasks on time
C.his leg was bitten by a dog D.the window of his car was broken
34.We can infer from the passage that _________.
A.the anger kept going to the lower level of workers
B.the cleaner knew why he was scolded by his leader
C.it’s not bad for the managers to attend the meeting
D.something enjoyable happened in the company
35.The underlined word “irritate” in the passage probably means “_________” in Chinese.
36.What can we learn from the passage?
A.Be careful of a sleeping dog under a car.
B.Hold in your anger and don’t hurt those around you.
C.Take a few moments to collect your thoughts.
D.Anger itself isn’t a problem.
【答案】33.C 34.A 35.B 36.B
33.由第二段“a dog sleeping under his car... bit his leg”和第三段“he put the anger of the dog on them”可知,商人在会议上生气是因为他被狗咬了。
34.由第三段“The managers also got upset... put their anger to the workers under them. The chain of this reaction kept going, and finally the anger reached to the office cleaner”可知,怒气不断向下传递到更低层级的员工。
Would you like to live in a city where buildings turn the lights off for you, and self-driving cars will find the nearest parking space themselves? Although it might sound a little far from you, living in a “smart” city like this could happen sooner than you think.
Great changes have taken place in towns that we have lived in for centuries, while completely new cities are being built. One such place is the city of Songdo. Every home there will have a “telepresence” system (远程遥控系统)—allowing users to control the heating and locks, take part in video meetings, and receive education, healthcare and government services. Around the city, escalators (自动扶梯) will only move when someone is on them, and offices and schools will all be connected to the system.
The great mind behind Songdo is from the company Cisco. In fact, technology companies around the world such as IBM, Siemens and Microsoft are already in the business.
About 75% of the world’s population will live in cities by 2050, so cities will need to be more modern to deal with the coming problems. “Making cities smarter is one way out, and I think this will in turn make cities greener,” said Dan Hill, head of a research company.
37.According to the text, living in a “smart” city ________.
A.is not a green way B.will be far from you
C.will soon become true D.is completely impossible
38.What is Paragraph 2 mainly about?
A.A city of the future B.A meeting in Songdo
C.A plan to build a house D.A report on public health
39.Why do cities need to become smarter according to the text?
A.To build more tall buildings
B.To solve the problems brought by increasing population in cities
C.To make big technology companies earn more money
D.To reduce the number of people living in countryside
40.Which of the following might be the best title for the text?
A.Future Education B.Smart Cities C.Government Services D.Famous Companies
【答案】37.C 38.A 39.B 40.B
37.原文第一段最后一句:living in a ‘smart’ city like this could happen sooner than you think,说明智能城市很快就会成为现实。
About 75% of the world’s population will live in cities…research company.

What’s more, a hat, whistle, bug repellent and rope may come in handy. 42
Different tents
There are many types and styles of tents. You should choose your tent according to your needs. 43 If you are camping with your family, a larger cabin tent or camping trailer (露营拖车) may be the best.
Proper areas
Where you decide to put up your camping tent is very important. 44 The ground should be level because hills and rocks are uncomfortable to sleep on. A sunny exposure (接触) in the morning with shade in the afternoon is ideal.
Green camping
45 If you are in a park, make sure to follow its rules. Put your rubbish and waste in the bins. If you are in the wild, do not make noise or trouble the plants or animals.
A.Don’t forget a flashlight, a compass, cookers and a first-aid box.

In the digital era, our country’s Ministry of Education pays much attention to AI (artificial intelligence) education for primary and secondary school students across China. They have set up AI curriculums in different levels for them. In primary school, students can get a taste of basic AI knowledge and simple operations, like using basic AI tools. As for junior high school students, they should start to understand the principles and functions of AI more deeply and use it to solve problems in study and life. In senior high school, students are expected to carry out small-scale AI project designs and research, exploring the future of AI technology.
The Ministry also encourages teachers to use AI in their daily teaching activities and regular assessments. A new section related to AI will be added to the national smart educational platform. In this way, excellent AI resources can be collected, making it easier for students around the country to share.
Nowadays AI is just like a “golden key” for the education field and offers great opportunities for both teachers and students.
However, just as a coin has two sides, AI may bring certain challenges as well. More and more students use AI tools like DeepSeek, Doubao, and ChatGPT to help with their work. They let AI do tasks that normally require thinking—such as analyzing data, writing essays, solving hard problems, making decisions etc. But is this a good thing? An AI design researcher warns that if students depend too much on AI to think for them, they may lose their ability to think independently.
In conclusion, we’d rather use AI to make us think than think for us. Please think twice while using AI.
66.How many levels do school AI curriculums have for primary and secondary school students?
67.What are teachers encouraged to do by the Ministry?
68.Where can students find excellent AI resources?
69.What will happen to the students who depend too much on AI to think for them?
70.What do you think of using AI tools for study?

B.To solve the problems brought by increasing population in cities
C.To make big technology companies earn more money
D.To reduce the number of people living in countryside
40.Which of the following might be the best title for the text?
A.Future Education B.Smart Cities C.Government Services D.Famous Companies
