Look at the pictures and have a chant with T. Ss: Beef, beef, I’d like some beef. 2. Play a game to identify the names of meat. 3. Watch the video and think about the questions. Sa: They are talking about French cuisine. Step 2 Create a menu 1. Learn about the English names of the French cuisine. 2. Look at the pictures and brainstorm some names of different Chinese dishes. Ss: Cold dishes, hot dishes, soups, staples, drinks, desserts, ... 3. Work in group. Choose dishes from China or any other country. Step 3 Role-play 1. Work with a partner from a different group. Role-play ordering food at a restaurant. Sa: Good evening, welcome to our restaurant. Here is our menu. Would you like something to drink first? Sb: Yes, please. What drinks do you have? Sa: We have tea and four kinds of juice: apple, orange, grape, and watermelon ... 2. Write a brief report for their group. Then present it to the class. 3. Compare and analyze. Step 4 Designing a poster 1. Work together to design a poster for their menus. 2. With the help of T, analyze the things a poster need to show. 3.
