My experience of learning by doing is learning to cook. Last year, I wanted to make tomato and egg noodles for my parents. At first, I burned the eggs and added too much salt. I felt upset and almost gave up, but my mom encouraged me to try again.
I watched cooking videos and practiced step by step. After several tries, I finally made a delicious bowl of noodles. When my parents praised me, I felt so proud. From this experience, I learned that practice makes perfect. It also taught me to be patient and never fear failure. Learning by doing not only helps me master new skills but also makes me more confident.

The event about Chinese traditional culture held in our school went well last week. This theme event aimed to spread our traditional Chinese culture and learn something useful from it.
There are many kinds of activities during the event. First and foremost, students could tell Chinese stories. For example, Kongrong shares the pears, Yugong moves the mountains and so on. They also had a speech competition. Students were allowed to give speeches about traditional festivals, such as Spring Festival and Mid-Autumn Festival. Additionally, students had the opportunity to experience making traditional foods, such as dumplings.
Through this event, students can not only have a knowledge of traditional things, but they also realized the importance of learning English in order to spread Chinese culture to the world. Only in this way can we make more people know about our culture and pass it on.
