They are kids who were born from 2010 onwards and the total number of them had been 2.2 billion by 2025. Unlike their parents Gen Y, Gen Alpha are the first generation growing up in the environment where iPads, AI and online classrooms are completely normal. Here are the data about them. ASPECT GEN ALPHA OVERVIEW Tech Usage 65% use tablets/smartphones daily; 50% use voice assistants Education 70% adopt a blended (融合的) method of online and off line learning Social Media 40% of kids aged 8 to 11 have a social media presence Entertainment 70% of screen time is on social media platforms While Gen Alpha are still young, they are pushing their parents to try new things. A report released by public relations firm DKC in July, 2025 said parents were having new experiences thanks to the influence of their Gen Alpha kids. For example, 40% of the parents surveyed said they had signed up for a subscription service at their kid’s suggestion. (Find more examples from the survey in the bar chart below.) So, when we look at Gen Alpha, it is pretty clear that they are not just a typical group of kids growing up; they are literally the future of our world. They are the most digital and possibly the most powerful generation we have ever seen. Gen Alpha will surely change education, technology, business and culture itself. While it is still early days, one thing worth anticipating is that instead of just adapting to the world they inherit (继承), they will be more and more influential in shaping the future of the world. 21. What is the percentage of Gen Alpha who study in a mixed way according to the table? A. 40%. B. 50%. C. 65%. D. 70%. 22. In which aspect do Gen Alpha impact on their parents most according to the chart? A. Trying foods. B. Buying items during drops. C. Watching sports. D. Choosing holiday destinations. 23. What is the purpose of the passage? A. To display characteristics of a new generation. B. To describe an economic trend of consumption. C. To clarify the gap between Gen Alpha and Gen Y. D. To introduce a technology-related education system. B Every time I walk into the library and pick out yet another great book, I cannot help but remember how it all started. When I was little, I loved books mostly because of their beautiful illustrations, like animals, children, landscapes, and so on. All this changed when my aunt Kate moved in with us. Previously, my mom would pick a book and explain all the illustrations in it. My aunt on the other hand would passionately read the story to me, which ignited (点燃) my love of books and language. Even when I was old enough to read by myself, she still kept track of what I read and sometimes made a few suggestions. When I was eight and thought it was time for me to read my first thousand-page novel, all she did was smile. The fact was that from the time my aunt first satisfied my thirst for a well-written book, I started a journey to explore the beauty of language. However, unknown to me then was the fact that my interest in her reading helped her realize her dream of being a children’s book writer. Now she has over a dozen children’s books under her authorship. I have changed my career choice a few times in the course of my life-a novelist, journalist, and script (剧本) writer. It does not matter what I end up doing, but my love for language will have to be reflected in my career path. My aunt used to tell me, “Language is like a tree. While its roots dig for the goodness, it is the leaves that are bathed in it.” I have decided to keep digging and I am sure the goodness will be reflected in my life. 24. What can we learn about the author’s earliest reading experience? A. He liked the colorful covers of books. B. He preferred to read with great passion. C. He enjoyed telling stories to his parents. D. He loved the pretty pictures in the books. 25. What inspired the author to explore the beauty of language? A. His aunt’s career dream. B. His aunt’s writing thirst. C. His aunt’s patient guidance. D. His aunt’s passionate voice. 26. How did the author help his aunt achieve her goal? A. By sharing his stories. B. By making comments. C. By being her audience. D. By offering suggestions. 27. What can be inferred about the author from the last paragraph? A. He will stick to seeking the truth of life. B. He will go on pursuing the art of language. C. He will keep reflecting on his career choices. D. He will continue to spread children’s goodness. C After being treated for an infection at the VCU Medical Center’s hospital, 81-year-old Robert Diegelmann completed his 10-day hospital visit, when his doctor suggested he continue his treatment at home, some 15 miles away. With nurses visiting twice a day, and round-the-clock access to a clinician via phone, he gained a quick recovery in his comfortable home. Like Diegelmann, tens of thousands of hospitalized patients have received medical treatment in their own homes since the hospital-at-home program was carried out in some countries. It began in some regions of Australia in the 1990s, when the local government was under financial stress. Physical hospitals faced the great challenge of limited medical resources. So patients with certain medical conditions had to be hospitalized at home, which was seen as a quick fix for the great demand for hospital beds. The first hospital-at-home trial in the United States, however, had a different motivation. For some homebound elders with certain health problems, it was inconvenient for them to receive timely treatment. A medical research team at Johns Hopkins University set up a tiny pilot project for 17 patients. It turned out highly satisfactory and cost-effective for certain severely ill elders. Advocates say home hospitals are particularly beneficial to some immunocompromised (免疫功能低下的) patients. They are less likely to get exposed to infections common in traditional hospitals. Despite the enthusiasm from supporters, more people need persuasion. “When a patient is home, things like changing and bathing do shift onto the household caregiver. It is quite tiring,” says Megan O’Reilly, a vice-president in the Medical Affairs Unit. And the Center for Economic and Policy Research notes that the government has not developed regulations (规则) for home hospitals equal to those that apply to regular hospitals. It also questions the reliance on telemedicine and remote monitoring. For the future of home hospitalization, it is expected to see more in-depth studies. But even then, hospital-at-home programs must win over patients, who have a choice between traditional and home treatment. 28. Why does the author mention Robert Diegelmann in paragraph 1? A. To express concern about elders’ health. B. To present a new form of medical service. C. To predict the future of medical technology. D. To show the demand for professional doctors. 29. What is paragraph 2 mainly about? A. How home hospitalization was started. B. Why physical hospitals were questioned. C. What challenges home hospitalization faced. D. When patients accepted home hospitalization. 30. What does Megan O’Reilly think of home hospitalization? A. It weakens the patients’ trust. B. It reduces the efficiency of treatment. C. It breaks medical regulations. D. It increases the load of patients’ family. 31. What can be a suitable title for the text? A. Putting Effort into Medical Service B. Upgrading Home Medical Facilities C. Bringing the Hospital into the Home D. Programming Home Service for Elders D Traditional robotic systems lean heavily on satellite-based GPS, whose signals are unstable in extreme geographical conditions. However, future robots will independently conduct search-and-rescue missions or explore dangerous environments with a level of reliability. Yet the most significant barrier to this autonomy is navigation (导航). In response to this challenge, researchers have turned their attention to nature. Nature has spent hundreds of millions of years evolving the art of navigation. The first inspiration comes from insects’ ability to track their own movements relative to a starting point. The second mode is based on birds’ multisensory capabilities to integrate information from several sensory channels. The other one draws inspiration from rodents (啮齿类动物), whose brains enable them to build maps of their surroundings. Rather than adopting a single biological strategy, researchers have built a unified framework that combines them together. Each contributes a different form of spacial awareness and solves a different aspect of the navigation puzzle, and together they provide a system capable of supporting long-term autonomy. To determine whether the system could withstand real-world conditions, researchers have conducted extensive field experiments in challenging environments-from abandoned mines to thick forests where GPS signals fail entirely. The results are striking. The robots stay on course significantly longer with accuracy and the system demonstrates up to 60% higher energy efficiency. The most impressive achievement is its resilience to sensor failure. The moment the robots’ primary sensors break down, multiple subsystems will step in, ensuring continuous performance without human intervention. The emerging era of autonomous exploration begins with a simple insight borrowed from nature: This capacity is not the product of a single perfect system but the harmony of multiple ones. In this sense, robots will become more than machines. They will become partners capable of operating independently in the most demanding environments on Earth and beyond, guided by the evolutionary genius of the natural world. 32. How does the author present the issue in paragraph 1? A. By giving an example. B. By defining a concept. C. By making a contrast. D. By explaining a theory. 33. What is a feature of the newly-built navigation framework? A. It employs combined biological strategies. B. It contains a single form of spacial awareness. C. It enhances animals’ multisensory capabilities. D. It solves the same aspect of the navigation puzzle. 34. What does the underlined word “resilience” in paragraph 3 probably mean? A. The effort to increase efficiency. B. The ability to function normally. C. The intention to explore actively. D. The capacity to analyze situations. 35. What does the author want to convey in the text? A. Humans can exist in harmony with nature. B. Nature remains humans’ greatest engineer. C. The application of navigation is widespread. D. Autonomous exploration regains popularity. 第二节(共5小题;每小题2.5分,满分12.5分) 阅读下面短文,从短文后的选项中选出可以填入空白处的最佳选项。选项中有两项为多余选项。 In life, just like in chess, every move matters. A single decision can trigger (引发) a chain reaction, leading you closer to success or trapping you in setbacks. Grand masters spend years mastering the complexities of chess. 36 Adopting a grand master’s approaches can transform the way you address daily challenges. •Think ahead: Always plan your next move Chess grand masters never make a move without considering the consequences. 37 Meanwhile, they plan several moves ahead. In life, short-term thinking often leads to regret, while long-term thinking contributes to success. Strategic thinkers don’t just react to situations. They anticipate and prepare. •Control the center: Concentrate on what matters most In chess, controlling the center of the board gives you more influence and flexibility. In life, focusing on the most important areas gives you control over your future. Specifically, pay attention to high-impact tasks rather than being busy with meaningless activities. 38 •Learn from every move: Reflect on success or failure Every chess game, win or lose, teaches a lesson. 39 In life, too many people are buried in thinking of failure instead of learning and adapting. Each experience is a lesson in making better future decisions. Therefore, seeing every setback as feedback, not failure is top priority. Winners don’t just move on. They move forward with greater wisdom. Thinking like a chess grand master isn’t about being overly cautious-it’s about being smart, strategic and intentional in your choices. 40 So the next time you face a tough decision, wait and ask yourself like a chess grand master: What’s my next move? A. They predict how their opponents will react. B. Playing chess never goes exactly as planned. C. Every decision, big or small, shapes your future. D. Grand masters analyze their mistakes to improve. E. Winning in life depends on where you place your focus. F. Chess players often sacrifice a piece to gain a winning position. G. The core principles they use can be applied to everyday decisions. 第三部分 语言运用(共两节,满分30分) 第一节(共15小题;每小题1分,满分15分) 阅读下面短文,从每题所给的A、B、C、D四个选项中选出最佳选项。 It was 5 pm, the temperature was over 30 degrees and I was tired out. Ready for this year’s show?” I asked Alex, who was standing in front of the notice board. “I guess I am!” replied Alex. The instant I offered my invitation to make a team, he nodded with a big OK. We exchanged glances and laughed. The preparation was in full swing. Every day after school, Alex and I met in the drama room. We revised our script and shared our ideas about the plots and conflicts. Our drama teacher Ms. May greatly praised our imagination and creativity in the plot design. Our confidence increased and both of us felt that we would be the most shining stars on the stage. Everything went well until it came to the ending part of the rehearsal (排演). I insisted on delivering the lines with wild joy, believing that it was more dramatic. Alex argued a tone of sadness out of desperation would be more powerful and realistic. We argued for what seemed like ages and the pleasant atmosphere gradually gave way to awkward tension. “You’re not listening to me!” Alex let out a cry of anger. “Your idea is stupid!” I fought back. Silence fell. Alex threw down the script and stormed out of the drama room. I stood rooted, feeling a knot (郁结) in my stomach. For the next two days, we avoided seeing each other. The play was at a standstill. The final show was only five days away. My anxiety grew and I came close to giving up. When Ms. May asked how our rehearsal went, I burst into tears. “It’s a total disaster to team up with Alex…” I poured out all my complaints. Ms. May flashed a comforting smile and patted me on the shoulder, “Let’s go for a walk in the school garden!” 注意: (1)续写词数应为150个左右; (2)请按如下格式在答题卡的相应位置作答。 I followed Ms. May into the school garden.
