Section Ⅲ Using language 语法项目——过去完成时的被动语态 语境中体悟 When I woke up in the morning, the snow had stopped. Looking outside of the window, I found the snow on the ground had been cleaned① by my father. By the time I finished the book borrowed from the local library, the breakfast had been served② on the table. After having the breakfast, I asked my little brother whether he would go to a nursing home to help the old with me. This was the first time that he had been asked③ to pay a visit to the nursing home. And he was excited about it. [语法入门] ①在found后的宾语从句中,clean的动作已经完成,且与主语the snow是被动关系; ②状语从句由by the time引导,主句中serve表示的动作已经完成,且与主语the breakfast之间是被动关系; ③在This was the first time that ...句型中,ask表示的动作已经完成,且与主语he之间是被动关系。 学案中理清 一、过去完成时的被动语态的构成 1.肯定式:主语+had+been done+其他成分。 2.否定式:主语+had+not+been done+其他成分。 3.一般疑问式:Had+主语+been done+其他成分? 4.特殊疑问式:疑问词+had+主语+been done+其他成分? (陈述句)Much progress had been made by him in English before he went to Singapore. 他去新加坡前,英语已取得很大的进步。 (一般疑问句)Had much progress been made by him in English before he went to Singapore? 他去新加坡前,英语已取得了很大的进步吗? (特殊疑问句)When had much progress been made by him in English? 他的英语是什么时候取得很大的进步的? 二、过去完成时的被动语态的基本用法 过去完成时的被动语态通常表示一个被动动作在过去某一时刻或某个动作之前已经发生或完成,主语是动作的承受者。 1.在told, said, knew, heard, thought, found等动词后的宾语从句中,表示宾语从句中的动作已完成且表示被动时,要用过去完成时的被动语态。 He told us that all of his classmates had been asked to attend the meeting. 他告诉我们他所有的同学都被叫去开会了。 2.当before, when, by the time, until, after, once等引导的时间状语从句的谓语是一般过去时,以及by, before, by the end of后面接过去的时间时,主句动作发生在从句的动作或过去的时间之前且表示被动时,要用过去完成时的被动语态。 By the time we got there, a new agreement had been signed. 我们到那里的时候,一项新的协议已经签署好了。 These houses had been built by the end of last year. 这些房子是在去年年底建好的。 3.在 It was the first/second ... time that ...从句中,主语与谓语之间是被动关系时,要用过去完成时的被动语态。 It was the third time that he had been invited to pay a visit to the school. 那是他第三次受邀参观这所学校。 4.在虚拟语气中,若条件句表示与过去事实相反,且主语与谓语之间是被动关系时,要用过去完成时的被动语态。 If I had been invited earlier, I would have attended the meeting. 如果早点儿邀请我的话,我就参加这次会议了。 [对点练] (完成句子) ①How_many_buildings_had_been_destroyed when the hurricane ended? 飓风结束时有多少建筑物被毁? ②We hurried to the station only to find that the_train_had_been_delayed. 我们急匆匆赶到车站,结果发现火车误点了。 ③(2024·新高考Ⅰ卷写作)Before the art class in the park last Sunday, the_students_ had_been_divided_into_groups by the teacher. 上周日在公园上美术课之前,学生们就已经被老师分成了几个小组。 ④He said he had_never_been_shown_around Paris. 他说从来没有人带领他参观过巴黎。 ⑤It was the second time that Tom had_been_punished_so_seriously. 这是汤姆第二次受到如此严重的惩罚。 ⑥By the end of last year, 10,000 trees had_been_planted_in_that_village. 到去年年底,那个村子已经种下一万棵树了。 应用中融通 Ⅰ.单句语法填空 1.The hall of the airline had_been_cleaned (clean)before the moderator came. 2.Everything had_been_prepared (prepare) by the time the librarian arrived. 3.When I got the politics paper back, I paid special attention to what had_been_marked (mark). 4.He was disheartened when he sold that masterpiece and after all, he had_had (have) it for a very long time. 5.If I had_cherished (cherish) the friendship,we wouldn't have broken up with each other.
