Sometimes you may have lots of things to do and you feel busy and worried. You may wonder, “Where does the time go?” Here are some ideas to make you find more free time to enjoy your life.
Say no to yourself. If you are not interested in some activities, then don’t go. Stay at home and relax. Or if you want to go to the fruit shop but the weather is hot, you’d better stay in your garden. It’s fine to change your mind and do your shopping tomorrow.
Change your pace (步伐). If you usually do your fruit shopping on Saturdays, you can go there on weekday nights. There are fewer people on weekday nights than on Saturdays. You can feel better if you think of your way home as taking a walk.
Focus on (专注于) simple pleasures (乐事). When you finish your day’s work, make time for yourself. It doesn’t need to cost too much to relax. A bath or a good cup of tea can be enough.
Although expensive relaxation is nice, when you focus on simple pleasures, you will get more.

Last year, I was attracted by badminton when watching a game on TV. On my birthday last year, my mother surprised me with a badminton racket as a birthday present. That was my first experience with badminton, and I was excited to try it out.
We decided to go to the badminton field in a sports area near our home. At first, I thought the sport was very simple, and I just needed to wave my hand. So when a badminton coach came over and asked if I needed a coach before we started, I told him I didn’t need one confidently. After that, I moved several steps, and you guessed what happened. My hand was hurt because of the wrong movements. Luckily, I didn’t get seriously hurt. To my surprise, that coach was following me all the way. He noticed that I was in a terrible mood. Then he gave me a hand and asked me, “ ▲ ” I nodded.
With the help of the coach, I found pleasure in learning badminton. The coach was patient. I was weak in serving (发球) and I couldn’t run fast. But even if I lost, the coach asked me to try again, which made me feel relaxed.
It was an amazing experience that I would never forget. Through this, I’ve learnt that if I stick to it, difficulties can be overcome.
