Step 1: Fast Reading & Information Extraction
1. Ask students to read the whole text quickly and write true (T) or false (F).
A Traffic laws regulate how people should behave on the street.
B Seat belts can protect us in case of sudden stops or accidents.
C Cyclists should always keep to the right side.
Before reading lead the students to read and understand the three sentences
Step 2: Intensive Reading & Task Completion
1. Guide students to read the passage again and complate the table.
2. Before reading ,lead the students to read thr table and understand the context.
3. Check the answers with the whole class, and explain key phrases and sentences.Let students read the text independently.
4. Step 3: Language Practice & Cooperative Discussion
1. Pair Work 1: Read and complate the story with the sentences given..
2. check the answers together.
3. Group Discussion: 1.Work in pairs and discuss What should we do when we ride or walk on the street?2.If you see someone who isn’t following traffic rules,what will you do?
