A recent study in a British medical magazine shows that many kinds of foods we enjoy, such as chips, cookies, and ice cream, are all ultra-processed What are ultra-processed foods (UPFs)? In short, we can’t re-create them in our kitchen. They are usually made in factories. They have long lists of additives (添加剂)—some we may never have heard of.
The study shows that people may strongly crave such food. We usually can’t stop eating it, or we may feel sad. But why do UPFs make us want to keep eating them all the time? Usually, natural foods are either high in sugar or high in fat. UPFs, however, are usually high in both. It makes us feel happier and want to eat more.
It is said that 14 percent of adults and 12 percent of children crazily love UPFs. However, they cause problems to people’s health around the world. Eating too many UPFs will lead to poor diet and increase the risks of serious illness. For example, UPFs lovers are more likely to get heart disease and certain cancers.
Governments are taking action right now. Some governments put taxes (税) on sugary drinks to make them more expensive, so fewer people will buy them. This idea can be used on the UPFs as well. Besides, in order to let people know the dangers of UPFs, these kinds companies are required to print out the additives on their products. Deep in the mountains of Kaili City, there is a small zoo. It was only known to local people before; but now it becomes famous across the country. Netizens (网民) call it “the most humble (简陋的) zoo in history”. The animals here are healthy and happy, all because of Feng Yuanyong, a zoo director in his seventies.
Feng used to be a physics teacher. He even worked as a school headmaster. After retiring in 2016, he fell in love with the small zoo run by his brother. Since then, he has put all his energies and pension (退休金) into it.
Life was not easy for the zoo. A nearby amusement park closed down, so fewer visitors came. The ticket price has been 20 yuan for over ten years, and kids under 1 meter can visit for free. Sometimes Feng even agreed to lower the price. Without enough income, the workers left. He grew vegetables and grass himself to feed the animals. “No matter how hard it is, I must look after them well,” Feng said.
A short online video of the lovely, happy animals changed everything. Thousands of visitors came to the zoo every weekend, even on rainy days. Many people sent small donations to Feng after being touched by his story, but he politely refused, saying he didn’t want others to bear the cost and promising all ticket income would improve the zoo. With more visitors, he focused most on safety, strengthening cages (笼子), checking every corner and the mountain path, and stressing “Safety always comes first.”
Feng still does all kinds of work, from cleaning to feeding. “Whether teaching students or caring for animals, the most important thing is to put your heart into it,” he said with a smile. His love and hard work make the small zoo full of warmth.

①There’s much excitement and argument about Artificial Intelligence (AI) One heated debate is whether robots will replace teachers in classrooms. Some think it’ll happen in the next ten years, while others believe a good teacher’s value, like building a child’s confidence and creativity, can’t be easily replaced.
②AI is not new for us and is already being used successfully in many fields, such as medicine, science and so on. So what does this mean for our future? In my view, AI will help kids to think more freely and creatively. Can AI possibly cut down the teaching work in the future, too? Of course. Our teachers are always busy preparing materials for their lessons. Just imagine how happy they would be if they don’t have to copy hundreds of paper, but instead, have this task or others done by machines.
③However, most importantly, I believe AI will not be able to copy the human mental condition totally, especially emotional intelligence (情商). What makes learning unforgettable is shared experience, human interaction (互相作用), and long-lasting positive relationships. For example, experienced teachers can comfort a student if he has suffered a serious loss. But robots may not do this well.
④I also believe we need to continue to celebrate our kids’ personality and their ability not only to make decisions but also make the right decisions. These are skills that they can get as they get more life experience and are given the space to experiment.
⑤In short, AI in education has both advantage and disadvantage. It’s a useful tool. It helps students learn better and reduces teachers’ workload. But it can never replace teachers. Teachers understand students’ feelings, guide them, and help with their overall development. The future of education needs to combine the good points of AI with teachers’ special abilities. This way, we can create a nice and efficient learning environment.
48. How does the writer start the passage?
A. By telling stories B. By comparing views
C. By raising questions D. By giving suggestions
49. What is Paragraph 2 mainly about?
A. Why teachers can be replaced in classrooms.
B. There is argument over Artificial Intelligence.
C. How helpful AI can be to both students and teachers.
D. AI is only being used successfully in education.
50. What does the underlined “they” in paragraph 4 refer to?
A. Teachers. B. Kids. C. Robots. D. AI.
51. What’s the structure of the passage?
A. B. C. D.
52. What’s the writer’s attitude towards the use of AI in education?
A. AI will completely replace teachers. B. AI is useless in education.
C. AI can be helpful but teachers’ role is still important. D. Teachers should only rely on AI in teaching.

根据文章内容,首先第二段提到“Feng used to be a physics teacher. He even worked as a school headmaster.”(冯曾经是一名物理老师,他甚至当过校长),对应b;接着第二段“After retiring in 2016...he has put all his energies and pension (退休金) into it.”(2016年退休后,他把所有精力和退休金都投入其中),对应c;然后第四段“A short online video of the lovely, happy animals changed everything.”(一段可爱、快乐的动物的短网上视频改变了一切),对应a;最后第四段“promising all ticket income would improve the zoo”(承诺所有门票收入都将用于改善动物园),对应d。
文章最后一段提到“His love and hard work make the small zoo full of warmth.”,说明冯元勇的爱和努力是动物园成功(走红、充满温暖)的最重要原因。
根据第三段“The ticket price has been 20 yuan for over ten years, and kids under 1 meter can visit for free.” A选项“动物园自建成以来就很有名”与第一段“It was only known to local people before”不符;B选项“冯提高门票价格以获得更多收入”与第三段“Sometimes Feng even agreed to lower the price”不符;C选项“即使没有足够的收入,所有工人都留在冯身边”与第三段“Without enough income, the workers left”不符。

D
B 49. C 50. B 51. A 52. C

根据短文开头“There’s much excitement and argument about Artificial Intelligence”可知,关于人工智能有很大的争论,结合下面“Some think it’ll happen in the next ten years, while others believe a good teacher’s value, like building a child’s confidence and creativity, can’t be easily replaced.”

根据“I also believe we need to continue to celebrate our kids’ personality and their ability not only to make decisions but also make the right decisions. These are skills that they can get as they get more life experience and are given the space to experiment.”
故选A。
根据“It’s a useful tool…But it can never replace teachers. Teachers understand students’ feelings, guide them, and help with their overall development.”

It’s common for us to feel unhappy sometimes. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Ways to Stay Happy
It’s common for us to feel unhappy sometimes. When I feel sad or stressed, I usually listen to soft music and do some sports. Music can make me calm and relaxed quickly. Running with my classmates also helps me forget my worries.
These ways work well. Music calms my heart down and sports let me release pressure. After doing them, I become happy again.
I advise my classmates to find their own ways to relax. Don’t keep bad feelings to yourselves. Staying happy is good for both our study and health.
