During the summer holidays, many short videos and photos about “picking mushrooms in Dali” became very popular on platforms like Douyin and Xiaohongshu. These posts showed people picking mushrooms and taking pictures. Some people even charged money (from twenty to two hundred yuan per person and kids who are under 6 years old are free) to guide tourists, providing tools or even helping them cook the mushrooms. On Sunday, the Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture government announced, “We will check the area carefully and do not allow any illegal (非法的) activities or mushroom-picking that is harmful to the environment.” In Yanghe village, some forests that were once full of plants have been walked on so much that the ground is now bare (光秃秃的). Environmental volunteers and experts say that careless mushroom picking has already damaged the natural ecosystem (生态系统). Wang Bin, an environmental volunteer, explained, “When people dig through the ground, the mycelium (菌丝) is exposed to sunlight and dies. Then, it cannot grow back or produce more mushrooms in the future.” Experts also say that if the mushrooms’ growing environment is destroyed, it could take 5 to 10 years for them to return. Wild mushrooms are very important because they help break down tough materials like lignin (木质素) in dead leaves and branches. They also help other plants and fungi (真菌) grow. Mushrooms are food for insects and small animals. Experts said, “Mushrooms are decomposers. Without them, dead plants in the forest cannot rot (腐烂) easily, and trees may get sick more easily.” Now, because low-altitude mushrooms are becoming rare, people are going higher up the mountain. Some even enter restricted nature reserves (保护区). The government says they will punish illegal activities. 4. How much should a family which includes a father, a mother and a child (5 years old) pay at least if they wanted to pick mushrooms? A. 40 yuan B. 60 yuan C. 300 yuan D. 600 yuan 5. From Paragraph 3 we can know the government will ________. A. take action against illegal mushroom picking B. allow guided tours in the whole area C. encourage tourists to pick mushrooms D. help tourists cook mushrooms 6. What can we infer from what Wang Bin said? A. Mushroom-picking is very safe. B. The ecosystem can recover quickly. C. Digging is harmful to mushroom growth. D. Tourists know how to protect mushrooms. 7. According to the Paragraph 7, “decomposers” can ________. A. eat hard living plants in the forests B. break down dead leaves and branches C. grow in wet areas or under the dead plants D. produce food for insects and small animals 【答案】4. A 5. A 6. C 7. 【4题详解】 第二段指出“Some people even charged money (from twenty to two hundred yuan per person and kids who are under 6 years old are free) to guide tourists”,说明收费标准是每人20到200元,6岁以下儿童免费。一个家庭有父亲、母亲和一个5岁孩子,孩子免费,父母两人按最低收费每人20元算,至少应支付40元。 【5题详解】 第三段说明原因:“On Sunday, the Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture government announced, ‘We will check the area carefully and do not allow any illegal (非法的) activities or mushroom - picking that is harmful to the environment.’”,表明政府将仔细检查该区域,不允许任何非法活动或对环境有害的采蘑菇行为,即政府将采取行动打击非法采蘑菇行为。 【6题详解】 第五段王斌解释“When people dig through the ground, the mycelium (菌丝) is exposed to sunlight and dies. Then, it cannot grow back or produce more mushrooms in the future.”,说明当人们挖掘地面时,菌丝暴露在阳光下会死亡,未来无法再生长或产生更多蘑菇,即挖掘对蘑菇生长有害。 【7题详解】 第六段和第七段介绍:“Wild mushrooms are very important because they help break down tough materials like lignin (木质素) in dead leaves and branches. They also help other plants and fungi (真菌) grow. Mushrooms are food for insects and small animals. Experts said, ‘Mushrooms are decomposers. Without them, dead plants in the forest cannot rot (腐烂) easily, and trees may get sick more easily.’”,说明“分解者”(蘑菇)能帮助分解枯叶和树枝中的坚韧物质,即分解枯叶和树枝。 (C) Time’s up—no more pictures In the age of social media, many people like to take photos at scenic spots and share them on social platforms. However, wanting “the perfect picture” can actually lead to overcrowding, as people tend to stay in one place for too long. To solve this, Huangling scenic spot in Wuyuan, Jiangxi, introduced a new rule in recent days: timed photo-taking. When a queue of tourists accumulates (堆积), staff members shall allocate (分配) about one minute per person for photo-taking. Similar rules have been introduced in other tourist spots in China. Limiting photo time means less overcrowding and a better travel experience for visitors. We all agree that tourist attractions should be enjoyed fairly by everyone. If some people stay at the best photo spot for too long, it is unfair to others in the queue. One minute may be short, but it is enough to take a good picture and helps cut long lines. This rule is meant to ensure fairness and comfort. However, some tourists argue that what should be a relaxing activity for them now becomes increasingly stressful. For children and the elderly, who may require additional time for taking photos, the rule can even be difficult to follow. These worries show the need for flexibility. Rather than having just one photo spot, tourist attractions could prepare several areas for photo-taking. They could also offer a photo guide to help visitors find good camera angles (角度). Children, the elderly, or people with disabilities should have more time to take their pictures. The goal is clear: to improve service quality and give visitors a better travel experience. This rule is an important step to better management and a healthier travel culture. Only with fairness and order can people truly enjoy the beauty of travel. 8. Why did Huangling scenic spot introduce the timed photo-taking rule? A. To help tourists take better photos. B. To solve the problem of overcrowding. C. To encourage tourists to share photos online. D. To reduce the workload of staff members. 9. Who may have trouble following the timed photo-taking rule? A. Stressed people. B. Photo lovers. C. Children and the elderly. D. Staff members at the scenic spot. 10. What does the underlined word “flexibility” in Paragraph 4 mean in Chinese? A. 严格性。 B. 灵活性。 C. 公正性。 D. 安全性。 11. What is the main idea of this passage? A. Timed photo-taking has many problems and causes worries. B. All the scenic spots should prepare the best photo spots for tourists. C. Social media makes people care too much about perfect travel photos. D. Timed photo-taking works in improving travel experience, but not perfectly. 【答案】8. B 9. C 10. B 11. D 【解析】 【导语】本文介绍了婺源篁岭景区为应对拍照排队拥堵问题推出的限时拍照规则,并探讨了这一规则的优缺点及改进建议。 【8题详解】 第一段指出推出该规则的原因:“wanting ‘the perfect picture’ can actually lead to overcrowding...To solve this, Huangling scenic spot...introduced a new rule in recent days: timed photo-taking.”,说明是为了解决过度拥挤问题。 【9题详解】 第三段指出:“For children and the elderly, who may require additional time for taking photos, the rule can even be difficult to follow.”,说明儿童和老年人可能难以遵守这一规则。 【10题详解】 第四段指出游客对规则的担忧“ These worries show the need for flexibility”,并提出改进建议,如设置多个拍照点(“prepare several areas for photo-taking.”)、为特殊人群延长拍照时间(Children, the elderly, or people with disabilities should have more time to take their pictures.)等,因此“flexibility”意为“灵活性”。 【11题详解】 全文围绕限时拍照规则展开,介绍了其初衷、存在的问题及改进建议,说明这一规则在改善旅游体验方面有效,但仍有改进空间。 (D) Early in the morning, Luo Mingliang packs some vegetables into a bamboo basket and leaves his home in Shichuan, a small town in the hills of Chongqing. After two hours and two subway rides, he reaches his stall (货摊) inside Hongtudi Station. This place used to be a bomb shelter (防空洞) from World War II, but now it’s one of Chongqing’s most unconventional markets. “The tunnels stay cool in summer and warm in winter,” Luo says with a smile, standing behind a large wooden box that is already half-empty.“I make over 500 yuan a day here, and my vegetables sell out in just an hour.” This market is part of Chongqing’s “shelter plus” project, which turns old wartime shelters into useful spaces for modern life. In May 2024, the government changed this 700-square-meter shelter into a free market for farmers and small sellers. They added lights, better air flow, and smooth concrete (混凝土) floors, which attracts lots of customers. “Zero fees—no rent, no cleaning costs,” says Zuo Le, who manages the underground market.“What was once a forgotten bunker (地堡) is now a busy place for the community.” Hongtudi is just one of thousands of bomb shelters built in Chongqing during the war. From 1938 to 1943, Japanese planes bombed the city, so people dug shelters into the rocky hills. By 1942, there were over 1,600 shelters, protecting almost everyone in the city. Though the war ended long ago, many of these shelters are still kept well and finding new purposes. Some have been turned into bookstores, museums, gas stations, and even hotpot restaurants. “More than 80 years ago, these shelters protected local people when their lives were in danger,” says Luo Zibai, a tourism expert. “Now, they continue to serve the city in new ways, while standing as a lasting reminder for us to value peace.” 12. What does the underlined word“unconventional” in Paragraph 1 mean? A. Traditional. B. Expensive. C. Unusual. D. Old. 13. What can we learn about Luo Mingliang’s business in the shelter? A. He tries to sell vegetables as early as possible. B. The environment helps him sell his vegetables. C. He makes more money than others in the free market. D. He has to rent the stall at a high price every day. 14. What does Zuo Le mean by saying “What was once a forgotten bunker is now a busy place for the community”? A. The bunker is still not used by anyone. B. The community doesn’t like the new market. C. The old shelter has become active and useful again. D. The market is busy because of zero fees. 15. I make over 500 yuan a day here, and my vegetables sell out in just an hour”防空洞的环境(冬暖夏凉)有助于蔬菜销售。 【14题详解】 第三段“What was once a forgotten bunker is now a busy place for the community”意为“曾经被遗忘的地堡如今成了社区的繁忙场所”,说明旧防空洞重新变得活跃且有用。 【15题详解】 最后一段“Now, they continue to serve the city in new ways, while standing as a lasting reminder for us to value peace”说明了罗子白对防空洞的再利用持支持态度。 Ⅲ. (B) This summer, “picking wild mushrooms on Cangshan Mountain in Dali” has become a hot online trend, attracting a large number of tourists. A 40 yuan B. 60 yuan C. 300 yuan D. A. eat hard living plants in the forests B. break down dead leaves and branches C. grow in wet areas or under the dead plants D. produce food for insects and small animals (C) Time’s up—no more pictures In the age of social media, many people like to take photos at scenic spots and share them on social platforms. If some people stay at the best photo spot for too long it is unfair to others in the queue. B All the scenic spots should prepare the best photo spots for tourists. C Social media makes people care too much about perfect travel photos. D. Timed photo-taking works in improving travel experience, but not perfectly. (D) Early in the morning, Luo Mingliang packs some vegetables into a bamboo basket and leaves his home in Shichuan, a small town in the hills of Chongqing. 15.
