III. Teaching Procedures Step 1: Pronunciation Practice 1. Review & Explanation Give examples of sense group division: I / like reading / fantasy stories. After school, / my friends and I / talked about / Alice in Wonderland. 2. Practice Ask students to read the following sentences aloud and mark pauses (/): Play the audio for students to listen and check their answers. Step 2: Listening - Introduction to Fantasy Stories 1. Pre-listening: Prediction & Strategy Training Prediction: Show the notes in Part B and ask students to predict the key information. Listening Strategies: 1  Shorthand skills: Use initials to record key words (e.g., writer → W, plot → P). 2  Focus on signal words: Pay attention to words like "first, then, finally" to grasp the plot sequence. 3  Ignore the order of questions and record information according to the listening order. 2. While-listening Play the audio twice Check the answers in class and explain difficult points. Step 3: Integration 1. Text Reading Ask students to read Part A (A guide to fantasy) and answer two questions: 1  What are the features of fantasy stories? 2  Why are fantasy stories popular? 2. Oral Practice: Pair Work Ask students to talk about their favorite fantasy stories with the help of language scaffolds: Student A: Which fantasy story do you like best?
