It is a kind of grass in the science of plant. Bamboo is really a wonder of nature. This fast-growing plant can be seen everywhere and is widely used. Bamboo has got many advantages, leading to its common uses for thousands of years. Bamboo is often used to produce daily products, such as chairs, beds and tables. What’s more, bamboo can be made into a kind of material for clothes. Bamboo can even be used as an excellent building material because it grows fast and it is strong. Bamboo is easy to decay (腐烂), so people have to add chemicals to make bamboo-based materials (竹基材料) stay for a long time. But these chemicals are bad for the environment. Chinese scientists have kept improving technologies to deal with this disadvantage. Here is a good example. In 2016, a Chinese research team in Nanjing began to work on new bamboo technologies. Later, the team succeeded in developing a new bamboo technology. The new technology is a heat treatment. This treatment moves decay-causing matters out of bamboo without adding chemicals that are harmful to the environment. At the same time, the structure (结构) of bamboo is well kept. As a result, new bamboo-based materials were produced and chosen as an excellent building material to build the scenic platforms (观景平台) of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge — the world’s largest sea-cross bridge. Since the new bamboo-based materials were used on the platforms, they have stood sunlight, seawater and even the natural disasters. Now, the scenic platforms still remain as strong as ever. 根据语篇内容,按要求回答问题。 1.What is bamboo in the science of plant? 2.Why can bamboo be used as an excellent building material? 3.When did the Chinese research team in Nanjing begin to work on new bamboo technologies? 4.What are the advantages of the new bamboo technology?(不超过15个词) 5.Write an ending sentence for the passage.(不超过15个词) 【答案】1.A kind of grass. 2.Because it grows fast and is strong. 3.In 2016. 4.It removes decay-causing matters without harmful chemicals. 5.Bamboo will play a more important role in people’s life.(答案不唯一,合理即可) 【导语】本文介绍了竹子的植物学分类、广泛用途,以及中国科学家研发的无化学防腐热处理技术,并以港珠澳大桥观景平台为例说明其耐久性。 1.根据“It is a kind of grass in the science of plant”可知竹子属于禾本科植物。故填A kind of grass. 2.根据“Bamboo can even be used as an excellent building material because it grows fast and it is strong”可知竹子生长快且坚固。故填Because it grows fast and is strong. 3.根据“In 2016, a Chinese research team in Nanjing began to work on new bamboo technologies”可知南京团队于2016年开始研究新技术。故填In 2016. 4.根据第四段内容可知,第四段指出新技术通过热处理去除致腐物质,且不添加有害化学物质,此为主要优势。故填It removes decay-causing matters without harmful chemicals. 5.根据最后一段内容可知,结尾句需总结竹子的价值或未来影响,比如竹子将在人们的生活中扮演更重要的角色。故填Bamboo will play a more important role in people’s life. 中考模拟真题练习 AI (人工智能) can help teenagers and students learn in several ways. Personalized learning AI can know better about students, including their advantages, skills, learning needs and so on. Then it can create a proper learning plan for each student. This can help students pay attention to the areas that they need to improve at their own speed. Interactive (交互的) learning AI has the ability to make learning more interactive and interesting. It can make subject learning more interesting by using interactive learning apps and educational games. What’s more, they can make students be interested in a subject at once. This kind of active learning is sure to be more helpful than studying alone. Automated (自动的) advice and help AI can provide automated advice and answers to questions. It can examine students’ work and provide personalized help. For example, ChatGPT can answer students’ questions quickly in a private, low-pressure way. So it can help students better understand and use knowledge. Greater resources (资源) AI can make many of the students’ learning resources richer and wider, like electronic textbooks, online courses, and study apps. For example, a biology textbook with AI technology may provide interactive 3D models of a human body that students can study more carefully. AI can give interactive examples, introduce important passages, and provide assessments (评价). In a word, AI has a great ability to improve studying and learning. By using AI, students can study smarter and reach higher levels of learning and success. The future of AI in education is hopeful as technologies continue to develop. 根据语篇内容,按要求回答问题。 1.What can AI know better about students in Paragraph 2? 2.How can AI make subject learning more interesting? 3.Why can ChatGPT help students better understand and use knowledge? 4.What does the writer think of the future of AI in education? 5.How do you use AI to help with your study? 【答案】1.Their advantages, skills, learning needs and so on. 2.By using interactive learning apps and educational games. 3.Because it answers questions quickly in a private, low-pressure way. 4.It is hopeful. 1.第二段“AI can know better about students, including their advantages, skills, learning needs and so on.”,说明AI可以更好地了解学生的优势、技能和学习需求等。 2.第三段“It can make subject learning more interesting by using interactive learning apps and educational games.”,说明AI通过使用互动学习应用和教育游戏使学科学习更有趣。 3.第四段“For example, ChatGPT can answer students’ questions quickly in a private, low-pressure way.”,说明ChatGPT能以私密、低压的方式快速回答问题,这有助于学生更好地理解和运用知识。 4.最后一段“The future of AI in education is hopeful as technologies continue to develop.”,说明作者认为AI在教育领域的未来是有希望的。 5.本题为主观开放题,答案不唯一。结合文章内容及实际经验,给出合理的学习方式即可。 Tide (潮汐) is the regular rise and fall of the ocean level caused by the movement of the sun, the earth and the moon. It is considered as a source (来源) of green energy to produce electricity in coastal areas. To make use of tidal energy, we need to build tidal power stations. A good place to build them is a bay (湾) or a river mouth. In these places, the tide is very high and the tidal range is more than 10 metres. To build a tidal power station, we need to build a dam! There are many turbines (涡轮机) in the dam. Tidal energy has its advantages. Using tidal energy to produce electricity is much cheaper than using traditional energy, like coal or gas. For example, the Rance Tidal Power Station in France has been there for over 50 years, producing around 0.54 TWh (太瓦时) of electricity each year. It costs only 1.3 cents/kWh to produce electricity. Tidal energy can be used nearly 24 hours a day. As long as the sun, the earth and the moon continue moving, we can use it to produce electricity. But without sunshine, there is no solar energy. When there is no wind, electric generators will not work. In addition, with the development of modern technology, tidal energy can be kept and used to produce electricity continuously (连续不断地). However, we still have some problems to solve. It is difficult to build a dam in the sea, and the cost is very high. Moreover, it’s expensive to keep a tidal power station in its best condition. Scientists are working on them. 根据语篇内容,回答下列问题,并将答案写在对应的横线上。 1.What causes the regular rise and fall of the ocean level? 2.Why is a bay or a river mouth a good place to build tidal power stations? 3.How much does electricity from the Rance Tidal Power Station cost? 4.What are the advantages of tidal energy? (不超过15词) 5.Write an ending sentence for the text. (不超过15词) 【答案】1.The movement of the sun, the earth and the moon. 2.Because the tide is very high and the tidal range is more than 10 metres. 3.It costs only 1.3 cents/kWh. 4.It’s cheap and can supply electricity almost 24 hours continuously. 5.We believe we will solve these problems soon. 【导语】本文介绍了潮汐的定义、潮汐能作为绿色能源的应用,讲述了潮汐发电站的建造条件、优势,以及目前利用潮汐能存在的问题和科学家的努力。 1.文章第一段明确指出:“Tide (潮汐) is the regular rise and fall of the ocean level caused by the movement of the sun, the earth and the moon.”,这是对潮汐成因的直述,可直接提取。 2.文章第二段明确写道:“A good place to build them is a bay (湾) or a river mouth. But do you know about “junk sleep”? A British survey shows that there are many electronic products (电子产品) in teenagers’ bedrooms. They are influencing teenagers’ sleep badly. The survey was done among 1,000 British kids from 12 to 16. It is found that 50% of them got just 4 to 7 hours’ sleep every day. But doctors say they need 8 to 9 hours. Almost 25% of the kids said they often fell asleep while they were watching TV, listening to music or using other electronic products. “The results are very worrying,” said Dr. Chris, a British professor, “We call it junk sleep. It means you don’t get enough sleep and the quality of the sleep is low, too.” The survey found that quite a few of the kids felt tired each day because of the junk sleep, especially girls between 13 and 16. Nearly all the teenagers have a phone, music player or TV in their bedrooms. And lots of them even have all the three. Dr. Chris suggested that parents should help their children keep away from electronic products, and that teenagers should spend less time on phones. 根据语篇内容,按要求回答问题。 1.What is influencing teenagers’ sleep badly? 2.How many kids get only 4 to 7 hours’ sleep a day according to the survey? 3.Which group of teenagers are especially tired because of junk sleep? 4.Who should help the children keep away from electronic products? 5.How will you deal with “junk sleep”? Do you like reading? What is your favorite book? I’m Alan. I sit by the shelf, listening to novelists tell stories and poets read works aloud. Sometimes I see teachers draw for wide-eyed kids. Sometimes I feel like I walk into book scenes, sharing characters’ happiness and sadness. My friend Natalie once told me to read the book The Journey. I’m so glad I followed her advice and read it. They make me stronger when I meet hard things in life. The story is about Lucy. She moves to a quiet new town far away with her parents. She tries hard to get used to this new place. At first, it’s really hard for her to make friends. She is shy and new here. She doesn’t know how to talk to others. I can understand Lucy’s feelings. I also moved to a new town last year. Between 1405 and 1433, he led seven great ocean voyages (航行). This was nearly a century before Christopher Columbus’ first journey of discovery to America. He led a huge fleet (船队) of over 200 ships. The largest ones, called “treasure ships”, were about 120 meters long—much bigger than other ships at that time. His fleet carried more than 27,000 people and valuable Chinese goods like silk and china to trade. Zheng He’s travels covered a very long distance. He visited more than 30 countries and regions (地区) across Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and even the east coast of Africa, including places like India and Kenya. Unlike some later explorers, he and his men did not fight with local people. Their goal was peace. They exchanged goods, shared cultures, and made friends. At the end of each voyage, Zheng He returned with many things that were seen in China for the first time, such as a giraffe from Africa. These voyages were a great achievement. They set up trade lines, encouraged the exchange of cultures and technologies, and spread friendship. Zheng He is remembered today not as a conqueror (征服者), but as a pioneer of peaceful connection. Recently, a primary school in Changsha, has put Virtual Reality (VR) technology (虚拟现实技术) to good use in an English class. When the students put on the VR glasses, it seemed that they were taken into a new world where they could see for themselves. They could enjoy the views along the way, allowing more knowledge to be kept in mind. VR language learning is now starting to be widely used in many schools. Think of it like this. Now you are learning English in China, you don’t have enough chances to use English if you are not in English classes, but if you learn English in English-speaking countries like America or the UK, it’ll be much easier for you to make progress. Nowadays, a lot of apps have also been designed to serve VR language learning. The app “House of Languages” is one of them. It is already available on the Samsung (三星) VR. It can sense your movement and the acts of your eyeballs, arms and hands. When you are learning English in it, a lovely raccoon (浣熊) called “Mr. Woo”, will guide you to communicate in English. You can use English by finishing tasks Mr. Woo gives you. For example, you will be asked to find certain things at your home according to the English words that Mr. Woo gives you. After you’ve found these things, you should “take” them, “come back” to Mr. Woo and” “give” them to him. Then he will say “thanks” to you. Sometimes, Mr. Woo may have some activities like family party so that you will have more tasks to finish in that situation. You will learn English so quickly that you will even forget you are learning. On the evening of December 7, 2025, something fantastic happened. Over 240,000 Baikal teals (花脸鸭) gathered in the sky. They flew together in a huge group that kept changing shapes—sometimes like a giant whale, and sometimes like a very big bird with open wings. Against the sunset, the sight was so wonderful that people said it looked just like the “Kunpeng” from Zhuangzi’s tale. Soon, the topic “The giant fish from the Northern Sea is real” spread quickly online. This event, called a “bird wave (波浪),” is not just a magical sight but also a way for birds to stay alive. Scientists explain that birds fly in such large groups mainly for two reasons: to save energy during long migrations (迁徙) and to stay safe from their enemies. People are amazed by the wonderful bird wave in the Yellow River Delta Wetland. This area was once dry and poor. But through years of hard work, like adding water and returning farmland to wetland, it has now become a key stop for millions of migratory birds every year. The number of bird types living here has risen from 187 to 374 over the years. 4.What are the advantages of the new bamboo technology?(不超过15个词) 5.Write an ending sentence for the passage.(不超过15个词) 中考模拟真题练习 AI (人工智能) can help teenagers and students learn in several ways. Tide (潮汐) is the regular rise and fall of the ocean level caused by the movement of the sun, the earth and the moon. It is found that 50% of them got just 4 to 7 hours’ sleep every day. But doctors say they need 8 to 9 hours. Almost 25% of the kids said they often fell asleep while they were watching TV, listening to music or using other electronic products. “The results are very worrying,” said Dr. Chris, a British professor, “We call it junk sleep. It means you don’t get enough sleep and the quality of the sleep is low, too.” The survey found that quite a few of the kids felt tired each day because of the junk sleep, especially girls between 13 and 16. His story teaches us a lasting lesson: building bridges of understanding and respect between different peoples is more powerful than force (武力). He remains a shining symbol of peace and friendly exchange in world history. 根据语篇内容,回答问题。 1.When did Zheng He lead his ocean voyages? 2.How many countries and regions did Zheng He visit? 3.How were Zheng He’s voyages different from some other explorers’ according to the passage? 4.Why were Zheng He’s voyages a great achievement? 5.What do you think of Zheng He? ① Cassie, a travel lover, has taken over 255 flights, planted trees, spoken to students in over 40 different countries, and raised 110,000 dollars for her journey. And how? “In the Northern Sea there is a fish, called the kun (鲲).” Last month, a natural wonder at Shandong’s Yellow River Delta Wetland reminded people of the famous words from Zhuangzi. This event beautifully connects the imagination of ancient literature, the wonder of the natural world, and the achievements of modern environmental protection. While enjoying the beauty of wonders, we should always keep in mind ________. 根据语篇内容,按要求回答问题。 1.Where did the natural wonder happen? 2.How many Baikal teals gathered in the sky during this event? 3.Why do birds form such large groups during migration? 4.What does the increase in bird types, from 187 to 374, mainly show? 5.What does the writer want us to keep in mind in the end? It is the world’s largest hot pot restaurant. It has nearly 900 tables and can seat around 5,800 people at a time. Though it had long been praised as the largest hot pot restaurant in the world, Guinness World Records just made the title official (正式的) in 2022. Pipa Yuan is so large and it is located on a steep hillside (陡峭的山坡). It may take diners more than 30 minutes to walk from the parking lot at the foot of the hill to one of the tables in the restaurant. Most diners require directions to locate their reserved (已预订的) table among the hundreds of tables. However, that doesn’t seem to influence the restaurant’s popularity. Though it has thousands of seats, finding a table without a reservation is almost impossible, especially during spring and summer. In fact, people from all over China come to experience the world’s largest hot pot restaurant in person (亲自). It is said that on a busy day Pipa Yuan serves more people than the inhabitants (居民) of a town. 阅读语篇内容,回答下面的问题。 1.Where is Pipa Yuan located? 2.How large is Pipa Yuan? 3.Where is the parking lot of Pipa Yuan located? 4.Why do most diners need directions in the restaurant? 5.Why do you think Pipa Yuan is so popular? 试卷第1页,共3页 试卷第1页,共3页 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $
