Pang first rose to fame in 2017, scoring 684/750 in the gaokao despite severe family hardship: his father has schizophrenia and his mother had a lower-limb disability. He earned admission to Tsinghua University but refused financial help from entrepreneurs, excelling(出类拔萃) in his PhD studies and publishing several academic papers. Sadly, his mother, his biggest inspiration, passed away in 2020 at 48. From childhood, Pang took on household duties, cared for his parents, and even collected recyclable garbage(垃圾) to support his family before the gaokao. His mother’s optimistic spirit shaped his positive attitude. His recent statement, “Our generation’s mission is to serve the country through scientific research,” has gone viral online, making him a role model for disadvantaged youth. 24. What is the main reason for which Pang regained public attention recently? A. He has published groundbreaking research. B. He has new responsibilities for his hometown. C. He gave a viral speech at Tsinghua University. D. He started a charity for disadvantaged youth. 25. How did Pang help support his family in his middle school? A. By borrowing money from neighbors. B. His mother’s attitude played a key role in shaping his personality. B. He accepted help from entrepreneurs for his education at Tsinghua. C. He stopped taking care of his family after he started his PhD program. D. His recent appointment marked his first time to receive public attention. C Recycling in general can be an effective way to reuse natural material resources. The U.S.’s high recycling rate of paper, 68 percent, has proved this point. But although some materials can be effectively recycled and safely made from recycled content, plastics cannot. Plastic recycling does not work and will never work. The problem with recycling plastic lies not in the concept or process but in the material itself.  There are thousands of different plastics, each with its own characteristics. They all include different chemicals that cannot be recycled together, making it impossible to sort the trillions of pieces of plastics into separate types for processing. What’s more, plastic recycling costs more than new plastic because collecting, sorting, transporting, and reprocessing plastic waste is very expensive. Despite this obvious failure, the plastics industry has begun a decades-long campaign to keep the lie that the material is recyclable, which reminds the public of the tobacco industry’s efforts to tell smokers that filtered (过滤的) cigarettes are healthier than unfiltered cigarettes. Traditional mechanical recycling, in which plastic waste is ground up and melted(熔化), has been around for many decades. Now the plastics industry is promoting the benefits of so-called chemical recycling, in which plastic waste is broken down using high heat and turned into a low-quality fossil fuel. In 2018, Dow Chemical claimed that the Renewlogy chemical-recycling factory in Salt Lake City was able to reprocess mixed plastic waste through the “Hefty EnergyBag” program and turn it into diesel fuel(柴油). As Reuters showed in a 2021 survey, however, the pyrolysis(高温分解) process was not worth it. We’re not making a case for hopelessness. Just the opposite(相反的). We need the facts so that individuals and policymakers can take action. Proven solutions to the plastic-waste and pollution problems exist and can be quickly copied across the country. These solutions include placing bans on single-use plastic bags and unrecyclable single-use plastic food-service products, and installing dishwashing equipment in schools. Consumers can put pressure on companies to stop filling store shelves with single-use plastics by not buying them and instead choosing reusables and products in better packaging. And we should all keep recycling our paper, boxes, cans, and glass, because that actually works. 28. What is the problem with recycled plastic? A. It costs too much to produce. B. It can hardly be selected out. C. It is generally of poor quality. D. It can’t be stored in large numbers. 29. What is the plastics industry trying to do? A. To compete with the tobacco industry. B. To cut down the cost of recycling plastic. C. To uncover the lie of the tobacco industry. D. To prove the possibility of recycling plastic. 30. What is the fourth paragraph mainly about? A. Traditional recycling proves to be safer. B. Chemical recycling turns out to be a failure. C. Chemical recycling can save energy resources. D. Traditional recycling can deal with limited waste. 31. What is the author’s purpose in writing the text? A. To show the difficulty in recycling plastic. B. To introduce a new way of recycling plastic. C. To stress the importance of recycling plastic. D. To call for a ban on single-use plastic products. D (2025-2026学年度山东省泰安肥城市高一上学期期中英语试题)Today, friendships can develop between people from different countries or even different time zones. Internets help people stay connected, no matter where they are. However, this convenience also has downsides. Real friendships usually grow from spending time together in person, having deep talks, or sharing important experiences. But online friendships often depend on short messages, funny pictures (like memes), or quick comments, which don’t create the same strong connection. When we chat online, we miss important cues(提示) such as tone of voice, facial expression and body language. Because of lack of these cues, online communication leaves a lot of room for misunderstandings. What’s meant as a harmless joke could easily be taken the wrong way. Online friendships will never really replace(替代) the feeling of face-to-face communication because online, people are sharing information not true feelings.   Meeting friends in person actually makes our brains send out dopamine(多巴胺), a chemical that makes us feel happy. Studies show that people who communicate online with friends get 50% less dopamine than those who meet face to face. That’s why online communication can leave us feeling more tired than satisfied. But we don’t have to give up online friendships entirely. Online friendships offer chances to connect, learn, and find support. We can make them more meaningful. One side is using VR avatars that mimic(模仿) real-life gestures and expressions. Another is “Screen-free Saturdays”, where people take a break from the Internet to focus on real-world connections. Some friendships, like those among online gamers, even combine both online and offline communications — they play games together virtually and also meet in person when possible. 32. What can we know from paragraph 1? A. Online friendships can be more natural. B. Traditional friendships are more meaningful. C. Online friendships can’t make deeper connections. D. Traditional friendships can connect people quickly. 33. What does the underlined word “lack” in paragraph 2 refer to? A. Absence. B. Error. C. Difference. D. Change. 34. Why is dopamine mentioned in paragraph 3? A. To show its role in improving health. B. To explain its influence on making friends. C. To show why online communication feels tiring. D. To explain why face-to-face communication is easy. 35. What is the last paragraph mainly about? A. Advice on making offline friends. B. Ways to improve online friendships. C. Advantages of playing online games. D. Reasons for quitting traditional friendships. (2025-2026学年度四川省成都市金牛区联考高一上学期11月期中英语试题) Practical Tips for Parenting Teens Teens spend a lot of time online. In fact, a report from Common Sense Media says that they spend nearly one-third of their day on media. According to a survey by Kaspersky Lab, many parents aren’t aware of what their kids are doing online. 36 . Begin conversations early. There’s no time like the present to begin speaking with your kids about their online behaviors. 37 . Remember, teens spend more than a third of their day online, so it’s necessary that we take time to provide parental guidance to help them navigate the virtual world. 38 . Parents often report that they feel like they lack the technical skills to keep up with their child’s online behaviors, but I’d say that’s simply not true. It’s necessary to read parenting posts, set up Internet alerts and stay on top of the technological trends(趋势) of the day. You don’t need to be an IT expert to keep pace with what your kid does online. Also, there are many organizations that offer assistance and resources to help parents feel less nervous and more connected. Search the Internet. Make random Internet searches of your kid’s full name and nicknames along with the location, like residential state or city, to see if you pull up any surprising information. Also, check for images and video in case your kid was tagged in a post he or she didn’t know about. If you find inappropriate(不合适的) content, work with your teen to get it removed immediately. 39 . Teach the basics. 40 . A practical rule for teens is to treat others with the same respect and kindness online as they would offline. We live in a day and age where kids need our help understanding the complexities of interacting socially online and offline. And they want our help perhaps more than we may even know. A. Stay current with what’s trending. B. Keep up with kids’ online behaviors. C. If not, repeat the procedure until you find any. D. These conversations need to be a priority and occur regularly. E. If need be, contact the service provider to help take it down. F. Fortunately, there are some ways to stay connected and keep kids safe. G. Kids should understand that device ownership comes with a high level of self-control. One hot Tuesday afternoon, I was halfway through a marathon training run in Sintra’s thick forest. Though we’d saved much but we still had difficulty affording the trip. Actually, it had already been a hard year when we were living on a tight budget. But we still agreed to take them to the Disneyland theme park. Then a letter arrived saying our cousin was getting married in Southern California, where there is a Disneyland theme park. Anyway, we had to celebrate with her. So we made a plan that we could go on a trip to the theme park after her wedding. To reduce the cost, we’d stay in the car for the night and use discount tickets to go to the park the day the wedding was finished. But after arriving there, we found Disneyland was out of reach financially for four children. Then I noticed outside its gates was a massive LEGO store. So I decided to take the children there and let them pick out LEGO sets to take home and build. They could spend as much time as they wanted exploring the store. And during the time, I must come up with a solution to entering the park. Upon entering the shop, the kids were excited to see all the life- sized things built to decorate the LEGO store. While the children were busy shopping, my phone rang. It was my mother who asked me about the trip. When I was telling my mother the trouble of entering the park, I felt a tap on my shoulder. A woman, a tourist, had overheard the conversation. “My name is Patty, and I have tickets to Disneyland,” the woman said. “We’re not going to use them. I think I can give you my extra tickets.” Hearing her words, I felt a wave of relief. My children could achieve their dream of entering the park. So after saying thanks, I followed Patty to her hotel to get the tickets. But in her hotel, she discovered only two tickets were left. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ I couldn’t believe that this wonderful, generous woman was sending all of my children to Disneyland! ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ ( 7 / 7 ) 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $听力考试正式开始。Jennifer, if you ran three seconds faster, you would have broken this year's a school record. B. By relying on his grandparents’ support. C. By collecting useful waste to earn money. D. By getting financial aid from entrepreneurs. 26. What does the underlined word group “go viral” probably mean? A. Become a secret topic. B. Disappear suddenly. C. Cause serious arguments. D. Spread quickly and widely. 27. What can be reasonably inferred from the passage about Pang Zhongwang? A. His mother’s attitude played a key role in shaping his personality. B. He accepted help from entrepreneurs for his education at Tsinghua. C. He stopped taking care of his family after he started his PhD program. D. His recent appointment marked his first time to receive public attention. B 25. C 26. D 27. 根据第一段“Pang Zhongwang, a 26-year-old PhD student at Tsinghua University, has recently been appointed (任命为) a think-tank expert and cultural tourism ambassador (大使) for his hometown Wuqiao County, Hebei, drawing public attention again.(26岁的清华大学博士生庞众望近日被任命为家乡河北吴桥县的智库专家和文化旅游大使,再次引起公众关注。)” 根据第三段“From childhood, Pang took on household duties, cared for his parents, and even collected recyclable garbage (垃圾) to support his family before the gaokao.(从童年起,庞众望就承担起家务,照顾父母,甚至在高考前收集可回收垃圾来养家糊口。)” 根据最后一段“His recent statement, “Our generation’s mission is to serve the country through scientific research,” has gone viral online, making him a role model for disadvantaged youth.(他最近发表的“我们这一代人的使命是通过科学研究为国家服务”的言论在网上go viral,使他成为弱势青年的榜样。)” 根据第三段“His mother’s optimistic spirit shaped his positive attitude.(他母亲乐观的精神塑造了他积极的态度。)” A。 C Recycling in general can be an effective way to reuse natural material resources. A 29. D 30. B 31. 根据第二段中的“What’s more, plastic recycling costs more than new plastic because collecting, sorting, transporting, and reprocessing plastic waste is very expensive.(更重要的是,塑料回收比新塑料成本更高,因为收集、分类、运输和再处理塑料垃圾非常昂贵)”可知,回收塑料的问题是生产成本太高。故选A。 29. 根据第三段“Despite this obvious failure, the plastics industry has begun a decades-long campaign to keep the lie that the material is recyclable, which reminds the public of the tobacco industry’s efforts to tell smokers that filtered(过滤的) cigarettes are healthier than unfiltered cigarettes.(尽管这一明显的失败,塑料行业已经开始了一场长达数十年的运动,以保持这种材料是可回收的谎言,这提醒公众烟草行业努力告诉吸烟者,过滤香烟比未过滤香烟更健康)”及第四段中的“Now the plastics industry is promoting the benefits of so-called chemical recycling, in which plastic waste is broken down using high heat and turned into a low-quality fossil fuel. In 2018, Dow Chemical claimed that the Renewlogy chemical-recycling factory in Salt Lake City was able to reprocess mixed plastic waste through the “Hefty EnergyBag” program and turn it into diesel fuel (柴油). As Reuters showed in a 2021 survey, however, the pyrolysis (高温分解) process was not worth it.(现在,塑料行业正在宣传所谓的化学回收的好处,在这种回收中,塑料垃圾用高热分解,变成低质量的化石燃料。2018年,陶氏化学公司声称,盐湖城的再生化学回收工厂能够通过“重型能源袋”计划对混合塑料垃圾进行再处理,并将其转化为柴油燃料。然而,正如路透社在2021年的一项调查中所显示的那样,这种热解过程并不值得)”可知,塑料工业一直试图证明回收塑料的可能性。故选D。 30. 主旨大意题。根据第四段中的“Now the plastics industry is promoting the benefits of so-called chemical recycling, in which plastic waste is broken down using high heat and turned into a low-quality fossil fuel. 【答案】32. C 33. A 34. C 35. B 【导语】本文是一篇议论文。文章探讨了线上友谊的局限性(如缺乏深度连接、易产生误解、多巴胺分泌不足等),同时提出改善线上友谊的建议,并指出线上线下结合的友谊模式可能更理想。 32. 细节理解题。根据第一段中“Real friendships usually grow from spending time together in person, having deep talks, or sharing important experiences. But online friendships often depend on short messages, funny pictures (like memes), or quick comments, which don’t create the same strong connection. (真正的友谊通常源于面对面相处、深入交谈或分享重要经历。但线上友谊往往依赖于短消息、搞笑图片(如表情包)或简短评论,无法建立同样牢固的联结。)”可知,线上友谊无法建立深厚的联结。故选C。 33. 词句猜测题。根据第二段中“When we chat online, we miss important cues such as tone of voice, facial expression and body language. Because of lack of these cues, online communication leaves a lot of room for misunderstandings. (当我们在线聊天时,会错过重要的提示,如语气、面部表情和肢体语言。由于_____这些提示,线上交流留下了很多误解的空间。)”可知,“lack”指的是:由于线上聊天时“缺少”语气、表情等重要提示,交流容易被误解,划线词与“absence(缺失)”含义相近。故选A。 34. 推理判断题。根据第三段“Meeting friends in person actually makes our brains send out dopamine, a chemical that makes us feel happy. Studies show that people who communicate online with friends get 50% less dopamine than those who meet face to face. That’s why online communication can leave us feeling more tired than satisfied. (面对面与朋友相处实际上会让我们的大脑分泌多巴胺,这种化学物质能让我们感到快乐。研究表明,与朋友线上交流的人比面对面交流的人分泌的多巴胺少50%。这就是为什么线上交流会让我们感到疲惫而非满足。)”可推知,提及多巴胺是为了解释为什么线上交流会让人感到疲惫。故选C。 35. 主旨大意题。根据最后一段中“We can make them more meaningful. One side is using VR avatars that mimic real-life gestures and expressions. Another is ‘Screen-free Saturdays’, where people take a break from the Internet to focus on real-world connections. Some friendships, like those among online gamers, even combine both online and offline communications — they play games together virtually and also meet in person when possible.(我们可以让它们更有意义。 (2025-2026学年度四川省成都市金牛区联考高一上学期11月期中英语试题) Practical Tips for Parenting Teens Teens spend a lot of time online. 注意: 1.续写词数应为150个左右; 2.请按如下格式在答题纸的相应位置作答。 But in her hotel, she discovered only two tickets were left. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ I couldn’t believe that this wonderful, generous woman was sending all of my children to Disneyland! ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 【答案】One possible version: But in her hotel, she discovered only two tickets were left. Though not enough for all the children, the two tickets meant a lot to me. After appreciating her kindness, I was prepared to leave. But Patty stopped me and took me to the hotel’s front desk. I was not sure what Patty was doing but I waited at a table for her quietly. After what seemed half an hour, Patty returned and handed me two more tickets to Disneyland and said, “Have the best day ever!” I couldn’t believe that this wonderful, generous woman was sending all of my children to Disneyland! With tears of joy streaming down my face, I hugged Patty, exchanged personal information and took her picture. As we parted, Patty was no longer a stranger but forever a part of my family. At the end of the day, we knew we had the best day ever. It was Patty that made our day. We will never forget the miracle given to us by Patty and follow her example to help others in need. 词汇激活 行为类 ①离开:leave/depart ②递:hand/pass ③拥抱:hug/embrace 情绪类 ①感激:appreciate/thank ②高兴:joy/delight 【点睛】 [高分句型1]I was not sure what Patty was doing but I waited at a table for her quietly.
