It lies in the north-west of Europe and is a country rich in history, culture and breathtaking landscapes. London, the capital city, is in the south-east of the country. The River Thames flows through its centre. Here you can take a river cruise and enjoy the wonderful night view. You can see many places of interest, such as the Tower Bridge, London Eye and Big Ben. You can visit the British Museum if you like history. The most famous street in London is Oxford Street.This is the best place to go if you want to visit some world-famous department stores. What about buying some gifts for your friend？A walk along the Thames or a high tea at a traditional café are must - do experiences in London. If you love nature, you should visit the Lake District.It is in the centre of the UK, and there you can go hiking and take a boat. Edinburgh is another most-visted place in the UK. It’s in the east of the UK. You can visit the Edinburgh Castle and learn about Scotland’s royal past. The UK has something for everyone, so why not visit it this year? What are these?
