中考模拟真题练习
Meng Xiang was crazy about films and music during his childhood. When he started college, he dreamed of making films that could combine his love for storytelling and interest in music.
His biggest challenge came when he planned to make a film about a tennis player. Since no one would offer him money for a 2-hour film, Meng and his college friends tried to make a shorter one. They bought a secondhand camera and used old things instead of expensive equipment. They even made a shelf on their own to support the camera.
Meng and his friends worked hard, rain or shine. When filming the tennis player, they ran after him in the summer sun. If it rained and they couldn’t film outside, they hung bed sheets on the walls in an empty room to set up a simple studio. This 12-minute film got much attention. The teachers and students in their college liked the music they created for it.
After that, Meng had another idea: to make a musical film. But musicals weren’t popular in college, and many said it wouldn’t work. Instead of listening to the doubts, Meng and his team spent weeks writing new songs and making a test video. To film the moving scenes, they fixed a smartphone on a skateboard and pushed it. The actors’ hair was blowing in the wind while they were dancing and singing. The loud voice and laughter of the team filled the air.
Their musical film was well-received and won several awards at a film festival. As Meng said, “Making films isn’t about having the best equipment or famous actors. It’s about finding new ways to tell your story. Our team is planning to make a special documentary about the environment. And I can’t wait to write music for it.”

A.The actors were popular. B.The team enjoyed the process.

What things do you find important in life? For three teenagers, the answer lies in the precious moments and experiences that color their lives.
He Liyan, 15, from East Junior High, values the time with his grandparents most in the countryside. Every weekend, he used to visit them. His grandma made his favorite sweet potato cakes, and grandpa taught him to water the vegetables. After dinner, they sat under an old tree and listened to grandpa’s childhood stories. Now busy with studying in Grade 9, he can’t go as often. But those happy moments stay in his heart, and their warm love is what he cherishes above all.
Huang Anqi, 13, a music student in City Music School, treasures time deeply. Her days are filled with music training and school courses, which teaches her to respect time. She holds onto it not because of pressure, but because it helps her reach her goals. Her busy life also makes small joys like hanging out with her dog—even more precious. As a young person, she’s grateful for the time to work hard, knowing time is all she needs.

4.What can be learned from the last sentence of paragraph 4?
A.The actors were popular. B.The team enjoyed the process.
C.Meng wanted to make another film. D.The students had good equipment.
5.What would be the best title for the passage?
A.To See Is to Believe B.Success Comes From Honesty
C.Music Is the Best Language D.Hard Work Makes Dream Work
What things do you find important in life?
Zhang Hangming, 17, from West High School, loves his travel memories. He takes photos of every fun moment on trips: beautiful scenery, a local’s smile, or a quiet morning street. After each trip, he makes a video as a travel journal. When he feels stressed from school, watching these videos relaxes him and fills his heart with warmth and joy.

Jim lives with his mother in a small hotel, and one day, he discovers a treasure map after a pirate (海盗) dies in the hotel. Flint was a famous pirate who hid a lot of gold on an island. When Jim shows the map to Dr Livesey and Squire Trelawney, they decide to search for the treasure. They gather (聚集) a group of people and set out on a ship.
As they travel to the island, Jim learns more about the crew (全体船员). He becomes friends with some of them but also realises that Long John Silver, one of the crew, is planning to steal (窃取) the treasure for himself. Silver is not just any sailor (水手). In fact, he’s a pirate. He is clever but dangerous, and Jim has to be careful not to get caught in Silver’s plans.
Once they reach Treasure Island, things get tricky (棘手的). The crew divides into two groups: one that wants the treasure and one that wants to protect it. Jim and his friends must decide whom to trust. That’s a battle (较量) of cleverness, where Jim thinks fast to stay one step ahead.

13-year-old Sarah sits in her yard (院子), lying out her handmade crafts (手工制品) on the table. There are baskets, flower pots, and cloth bags—all made from recycled materials. They are not just creative objects (物品); they’re part of Sarah’s project to make a greener community.
Two years ago, Sarah would pass by a park near her house every day after school. Plastic bottles, empty cans, and broken toys littered the roadside. Seeing this, Sarah felt sad.
One afternoon, Sarah noticed some kids selling orange juice at the park. People stopped to buy it. That was when Sarah got an idea.
“Mom, what if we sell handmade crafts?” she asked excitedly that evening. “Then we can buy trees for our neighborhood with the money.”
With her mom’s help, Sarah started making crafts with great interest, using old boxes, plastic bottles and empty cans. Every day after school, she sat in her yard, waiting for customers. At first, no one came. Sarah felt down, but she didn’t give up.
