A family drama has caused heated discussions about whether the heroine (女主角) should sacrifice (牺牲) her own career and happiness to take the role of her brother’s caretaker. The movie shows an 18-year-old daughter who is often ignored in the family, unexpectedly faces the hard duty to care for her 6-year-old brother after a car accident killing her parents. Should she devote herself to raising her brother? Netizens (网民) share their opinions.
Sun
I don’t think the elder sister has the duty to raise her little siblings (兄弟姐妹). It’s not her decision to have her little brother or sister, but it’s her parents’. She has her own life, her own pressure, so she should not take more. If she is capable enough and willing to help her little siblings, then it is okay.
Desiderata
Of course I think elder sisters should raise their little siblings in that condition. As they are linked by blood ties, and the little boy has no one to depend on, the duty falls on his only sister.
If it’s difficult for her to raise her little brother alone, asking for help from the government or other relatives is a good choice. If she just throws that duty away, what will happen to her little brother is unimaginable. Everyone has certain roles—daughter or son, sister or brother, mom or dad. These roles come with a duty that you must take.
Mary
It’s not an easy question to answer. However independent and ambitious one may seem, the blood relationships and long-lasting family bonds are difficult to be thrown away.
Once you abandon (抛弃) all the relationships, no longer can you get a complete identity in society today.
19.What happens to the heroine’s parents?
A.They have to work abroad. B.They die in an accident.
C.They meet some problems. D.They have a third child.
20.How many netizens’ opinions are mentioned in the passage?
A.One. B.Two. C.Three. D.Four.
21.Desiderata thinks that ________.
A.the elder sister has no responsibility to raise her little siblings
B.it’s a really hard question for the elder sister to answer
C.the elder sister has the duty to raise her little siblings
D.it’s the parents’ decision and duty to raise their children
22.What can be the best title of the passage?
A.A Family Drama
B.Netizens’ Opinions on a Famous Drama
C.A Loving Family
D.Should the Elder Sister Raise Her Little Siblings?
C
Unitree Robotics, a company based in Hangzhou, returned to the CCTV Spring Festival Gala for the third year in a row as an official partner. Its performance made a new breakthrough for human-like robots in an area that was only for human athletes before, mixing ancient Chinese fighting arts with the careful engineering of modern sports cars.
The wonderful show started with a long fighting arts performance by hundreds of Unitree G1 human-like robots. They are not common robots. With swords, poles and nunchucks (刀剑、棍棒和双节棍), they did complex fighting moves and moved perfectly together with children on stage. What surprised people most was their exact body control, even when they used these dangerous tools. The robots also did amazing backflips (后空翻) and jumps, some even jumping from trampolines (弹簧垫). They dealt with the fast direction changes and balance recovery (恢复平衡) easily.
This year’s show was much better than last year’s, when only 16 Unitree robots danced with performers and waved handkerchiefs (手帕) at the same time. The G1, 130cm tall and 35kg heavy, met all the performance challenges well. It’s all because of its great technical improvement in joint movement, turning power and quick motion control, which lets it finish difficult actions that common robots can’t do. This made it the world’s first fully self-acting human-like robot group to perform kung fu, amazing the audience with fast moves.
Besides the main stage in Beijing, Unitree also shone on the second stage in Yiwu. Its taller H2 human-like robot dressed as the Monkey King in beautiful clothes, standing on a “somersault cloud” made by B2W four-legged robots and sending New Year wishes from above. It was a great show with traditional Chinese legend (传说). Four robot companies appeared in the show, but Unitree’s performance was far better than the others, showing the great development of China’s human-like robot industry on the national live broadcast.
23.What can we learn about the Unitree G1 robots from the passage?
A.They are 130cm tall, with a newly designed appearance.
B.They performed slow kung fu moves with common tools in the show.
C.They could keep in perfect step with the child performers on stage.
D.They finished all the difficult moves only with the help of trampolines.
24.Which of the following is right according to the passage?
A.Unitree Robotics is a Beijing-based high-tech company that focuses on human-like robots.
B.The G1 robots’ kung fu show was completed by fewer than 100 robots together.
C.The great technical progress makes it possible for G1 to finish difficult kung fu moves.
D.The H2 robot’s show in Yiwu was performed together with the child performers on the main stage.
25.Which of the following best shows the structure of the passage?
(①=Paragraph 1 ②=Paragraph 2 ③=Paragraph 3 ④=Paragraph 4)
A.①→②→③→④ B.①/②③/④
C.①②/③/④ D.①/②/③④
26.What’s the main purpose of the passage?
A.To introduce the 30-year development history of Unitree Robotics.
B.To tell readers about Unitree’s wonderful robot shows on the Spring Festival Gala.
C.To compare the technical advantages of G1, H2 and B2W robots in detail.
D.To teach readers how to improve humanoid robots’ movement control ability.

Several studies show communication skills are the most important skills for American adults. They are often taught through Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) programs, which encourage students to take part in them and are offered in K-12 schools in 27 states.. But they are also a by-product of theater classes, according to a recent study. The study followed children aged 5 to 18 over six years and found increases in communication skills across ages. It found out the longer the kids spent on the theater classes, the more they gained in 21st-century skills, like communication, creativity, imagination, and problem solving, says Thalia Goldstein, the study’s co-author.
Theater is about a different kind of learning—getting up on your feet to take in information, rather than sitting at a desk. “When you put something in your body, it lasts longer, and you remember it longer,” says Kathryn Dawson, associate professor of theater at the University of Texas at Austin. Theater provides a sense of space. And it enables more than expressions with words.
For children with autism (自闭症), theater techniques increase eye attention and inspire conversation. This is where the arts level the playing field for children of different abilities; they can take part in meaningful ways where language is not a necessary skill.
Sara Williams; Charlotte’s mother, considers theater as the foundation for her daughter’s self-awareness. Charlotte began drama classes at age 5. At 13, she is not afraid to speak publicly or join the student council; she listens and has confidence. “Kids go to these classes and come home feeling excited, like they have achieved something.” Williams says. And not just the outgoing kids—for the shy, theater opens them up. A theater class provides a supportive environment where kids can speak freely, not afraid of unkind judgment. You can keep your personality, and unlike in sports, you’re not competing with anyone.
“Theater is about telling stories. It is one of the best ways to help young people get to know themselves,” Dawson says.

A.It focuses on improving one’s artistic skills.
B.It raises children’s confidence.

Why did many Chinese people cry during the military parade (阅兵) which was held on September 3, 2025, in Tian’anmen Square? To people outside China, it may be difficult 66 (understand) why military parade can bring tears to our eyes. But it’s more than just a parade—it’s a moment full 67 memories, history, and emotion.
For a long time in history, China was weak and divided. Foreign soldiers once marched through Chinese cities. We had little power to protect ourselves and were often 68 (look) down upon by other nations. Those were times of hardship and humiliation.
But now, everything has changed. When we watch the military parade, we see lines of Chinese soldiers walking 69 (proud) and confidently. We see modern weapons made by China. We hear the loud sound of our fighter planes in 70 sky.
These are not just shows of power—they are signs of how much we have achieved. They mean peace, 71 (safe), and respect. For many Chinese, especially older people 72 lived through difficult times, this is very touching. We cry not because we are sad, 73 because we are proud and relieved.
We feel that our nation has finally stood up. We remember the past, but we also see how much 74 (strong) we have become today.
It is a way to heal, to regain dignity (尊严), and to say to the world and ourselves:“We are powerful now. ” That’s 75 we cry—tears of hope, strength, and national pride.

A.One. B.Two. C.Three. D.Four.

27.What does the recent study find out?
A.Theater classes have a great influence on children’s social skills.
B.Communication skills matter to children’s development.
C.Theater classes are more effective than SEL programs.
D.Children’s interest in theater classes changes with age.
28.How does theater learning help children according to Kathryn Dawson?
A.It focuses on improving one’s artistic skills.
B.It raises children’s confidence.
C.It helps children to get a sense of belonging.
D.It encourages children to learn by being active physically.
29.What can we infer from the third paragraph?
A.Theater techniques are based on language learning.
B.Theater experiences help practice competitive skills.
C.Theater techniques benefit a wide range of children.
D.Theater classes can be unsuitable for outgoing children.
30.What can theater bring to shy children according to the example of Charlotte?
A.A means of gaining an understanding of others.
B.A comfortable space for self-expression.
C.A gateway to discovering hidden talents.
D.A chance to accept your disadvantages.
