范文
An Experience During the May Day
During the May Day, I participated in the labor organized by our community. The project focused on cleaning and beautifying our local park.
The process involved several tasks, including cleaning up litter and planting new flowers. We started early in the morning, equipped with trash bags and gardening tools. The most challenging part was digging and planting. It was not until dusk that we finished our task and went home.
The experience made me appreciate the value of community. Seeing the tidy park, I felt a sense of fulfillment.
第二节 (满分25分)
“We can’t make it if we work separately,” Elena spoke up first. Leo nodded in agreement, his eyes softening. “You’re right. My poster is full of fun but lacks accuracy, and yours is perfect but too cold,” he admitted. Elena took a deep breath and pushed her notebook forward: “Let’s combine our strengths. I’ll draw the stars in their correct positions, and you can add your colorful ideas to make them lively.” Leo’s face lit up. They got to work together — Elena sketched carefully, ensuring every star was in place, while Leo added glowing brush strokes and bright planets around them. They laughed as they adjusted details, finally creating a poster that was both precise and imaginative.
The next morning, they showed the poster to Mr. Davis and club members. Everyone fell silent at the first sight. The poster had perfect star positions drawn by Elena, decorated with Leo’s colorful, glowing designs that made the stars seem to twinkle. Mr. Davis smiled proudly: “This is exactly what I wanted — science and romance together.” The club members cheered, praising how well their styles matched. Elena looked at Leo and realized that astronomy wasn’t just about numbers and facts; it was also about the joy of sharing and creating. From then on, they became the best partner in the Astronomy Club, making every activity more wonderful together.

阅读下列短文,从每题所给的A、B、C和D四个选项中,选出最佳选项。
A
Before my first hike to the Rocky Mountains, I was a homebody. I had friends to hang out with, several hobbies, and I felt comfortable spending weeks or even months in my hometown without going anywhere. I thought there was no difference between seeing something on TV and seeing something with one’s own eyes.
The situation changed one day when Adam, my best friend, came to my room. He succeeded in persuading me to join him on his trip to the Rocky Mountains.
This was my first time in the mountains, so I was turning my head in all directions. Unluckily, the weather was foggy most of the time, and the higher we climbed the mountains, the less we could see. But I still enjoyed the hike. I walked fast, and because of that I ran out of energy long before we got to the top. Adam knew how to save energy.
When we finally got to the top, nothing had really changed. The same fog was covering everything. I felt disappointed, as I expected to see the view from above and take some photos. We spent a couple of hours on the top, and decided to turn back. Then the wind suddenly cleared the clouds and the sun came out. It wasn’t until then that I knew how beautiful the mountains looked. And for some moments I couldn’t believe my eyes.
This experience inspired me to break through my limitations and accept new challenges. I realized that I wouldn't be able to live a life without visiting the mountains at least twice a year.
21.What a person did the author use to be before his first hike to the Rocky Mountains?
A.One enjoyed hiking in the mountains. B.One felt comfortable in his hometown.
C.One liked persuading others. D.One was good at talking with others.
22.What made the author unhappy during his first hike?
A.Feeling tired during the hike. B.Not taking a camera with him.
C.Having to climb for a long time. D.The heavy fog covering everything.
23.How did the author most probably feel after the hike?
A.Disappointed. B.Comfortable.
C.Encouraged. D.Confused.

A Russian keeper was caught between a rock and a hard place.
A Siberian tiger pressed the keeper who was bringing it food, biting and clawing at her.
The woman was saved when quick-thinking onlookers shouted and threw stones at the beast until it backed off.
The big cat, named Typhoon, sprang on the keeper at the Kaliningrad Zoo in Russia on Saturday because its cage door had been accidentally left open.
Shocking photos show the tiger clawing at the young woman as she lies on her back screaming in terror. The attack happened near a fence mere feet from where zoo visitors had been taking photos of the beast.
Besides shouting and throwing rocks, some men managed to lift a table and chairs from a nearby cafe and throw them over the fence to distract the tiger while the keeper crawled away to hide in a back room.
The keeper was badly injured. She was rushed to the hospital.
“The girl’s face was bleeding,” one witness said. “She screamed and tried to fight off the animal.”
The Siberian tiger, the largest cat in the world, was supposed to be contained in another part of its enclosure when the woman brought in meat for dinner. No other zoo employees were present inside the cage at the time.
In a statement, the zoo praised the visitors who saved the employee’s life.
It was the first time the tiger had been aggressive toward a human.
24.The tiger got the chance to attack because________.
A.it was left unattended B.its cage door was unlocked
C.it broke loose from the cage D.the keeper entered its enclosure
25.Visitors threw rocks over the fence to________.
A.attack the tiger B.warn the keeper of danger
C.distract the tiger’s attention D.provide the keeper with tools to fight back
26.Which of the following is NOT mentioned in this text?
A.The responses of the people present. B.When and where the accident occurred.
C.The condition of the keeper’s injury. D.The reason why the tiger attacked the keeper.
27.The best title for this text would be __________
A.A risky job. B.An aggressive Siberian tiger.
C.A rescue from Siberian tiger attack. D.Keeper’s narrow escape from death.

Caesar was right: thin people need watching. I’ve been watching them for most of my adult life, and I don’t like what I see. Whatever their personalities, thin people share one trait: they are very serious about everything. They live as if life were a project that must always be improved. In the first place, they aren’t much fun. Give them a coffee break and they jog around the block. Offer them a quiet evening and they fix the screen door. They say things like “there aren’t enough hours in the day.” Fat people often feel the day is already long enough.
Thin people make me tired. Their fast metabolisms keep them moving all the time, rubbing their bony hands together and looking for new problems to “tackle”. I prefer slow, relaxed, easygoing fat people who know that if you clean something today, it will just get dirty again tomorrow. Some people say the idea of the “jolly fat person” is only a myth, and that fat people are secretly unhappy. I disagree. They may not laugh all day, but they are usually kinder than the thin and nervous.
Thin people don’t understand the power of a hot-fudge sundae for reducing stress. They don’t like soft, sweet things because they themselves are not soft or gentle. They are like carrots: hard, straight, and a little boring. They like to go straight to “the heart of the matter,” while fat people are willing to leave things a bit unclear and vague, which is closer to how life really is. Thin people are always trying to “face the truth”; fat people know there is no simple truth and no single “key point” about anything.
Thin people believe strongly in logic and neat plans. Fat people see many sides of a problem and know that life is often unfair and cannot be fully controlled. That is why thin people are often serious and tense. They talk about plans, rules, and self-control. Fat people, however, are convivial. They will forgive you, comfort you, and make you laugh. When you feel sad, you don’t want someone hard and strict. You want someone soft who will listen, relax with you, and make room for you — and fat people will always take you in.
28.Why does the writer say fat people know “if you clean something today, it will just get dirty again tomorrow”?
A.They try to steer clear of a serious way of thinking.
B.They accept uncertainty as a normal part of life.
C.They turn down any intelligence to deal with complex issues.
D.They tend to avoid uncomfortable truth in life.
29.In the last paragraph, the word “convivial” is closest in meaning to ______.
A.be ready to let go of other people’s mistakes
B.joyful and socially warm towards others
C.being funny in other people’s eyes
D.getting excited in making people feel better
30.Which of the following best states the main idea of the passage?
A.It humorously defends a relaxed, accepting way of living against a culture that worships control and efficiency.
B.It proves that a person’s weight directly determines his or her moral quality and intelligence.
C.It argues that modern people should pay more attention to their physical health than to emotional comfort.
D.It explains why logical thinking is sometimes less important than emotional support in all kinds of situations.
31.How does the writer organize the passage?
A.By first listing medical facts about thinness and fatness and then drawing a scientific conclusion.
B.By starting with complaints about thin people and then employing contrasts to show a preference for fat people.
C.By telling a sad personal story about weight problems and then suggesting several ways to lose weight.
D.By describing both the thin and the fat differently and then ending with a balanced, neutral summary of both.
D
Loneliness has been cast as a public health crisis, even deadly. A 2010 study found that those with weaker social relationships had a higher risk of early mortality (死亡率) than those who did not. The dangers of loneliness are countless — social isolation is associated with a. greater risk of cardiovascular (心脑血管) disease, stroke, depression, and anxiety.
Almost everyone feels lonely on occasion, but sometimes loneliness is a consequence of ongoing isolation brought on by busyness, depression, a significant life change — like a move,a breakup, the birth of a child, or some combination of all of the above. Some people’s lives are particularly isolating, especially if they live alone, work remotely, and don’t often interact with others.
On the other hand, too much social interaction can be equally exhausting. An essential aspect of a well-balanced social life is alone time, a chance to recharge, according to research. A teacher who interacts with students and colleagues all day may not have the bandwidth (带宽) to volunteer to lead a birding walk.
Fighting off both loneliness and social exhaustion is a difficult task. Because everyone’s social lives and social desires vary so greatly, researchers are unable to prescribe (开处方) a set amount of interaction for a fulfilled life. Only we can identify our right dose of time spent with others. However, we often aren’t paying enough attention to our interpersonal interactions to determine whether we’ re feeling socially satisfied. It isn’t until we’ re in the depths of loneliness or socially overextended (社交过度) that we realize we need something: a positive talk with a friend, a few chats with a stranger on the bus, or a weekend alone with a good book.
“The really ironic thing is a lot of people don’t have that self-insight. We’ve interacted with people our whole lives — we have friends and we have partners and a lot of what we do every day is talking to other people,” says William Chopik, a social-personality psychologist and an associate professor at Michigan State University. “I don’t think a lot of people sit down and really take stock of the exact amount of social interaction that makes them comfortable.”
Being intentional with your interpersonal contact and maintaining a variety of conversation partners are crucial to supporting a healthy social life. Keeping loneliness at bay requires a nominal (少量的), yet committed, effort: At the end of a day, week, or month, take stock of with whom you socialized, what kinds of interactions you had, and whether you feel emotionally satisfied to get a clearer picture of your social intake.
32.What is the purpose of the third paragraph in the passage?
A.To stress the importance of having a certain amount of alone time.
B.To give an example of a job that involves too much interaction.
C.To suggest a way to balance social interaction and loneliness.
D.To challenge a popular belief that isolation is harmful to our health.
33.Why does William Chopik find it ironic that people lack self-insight when it comes to interaction?
A.Because people tend to go to extremes in social interaction.
B.Because people always ignore what they spend most time on.
C.Because people fail to make meaningful connections with other people.
D.Because people struggle to determine their ideal social interaction amount.
34.According to the passage, how can people maintain a healthy social life?
A.Maintaining a balance between busyness and relaxation.
B.Engaging in activities that require little social interaction.
C.Reflecting on social interactions and emotional satisfaction.
D.Comparing our social interactions with those of others.
35.What does the passage mainly talk about?
A.How much social interaction do you actually need?
B.What is the impact and significance of loneliness?
C.What are the strategies for overcoming loneliness?
D.How to balance social interaction and alone time?

It’s now been 6 years since I sold everything and left the United States to travel around the world. 36
Meet local people.
Make it a point to avoid other travelers from time to time and start conversations with local people. Basic English is spoken widely all over the world. 37 And learn from those who live in the country you’re visiting. People enrich your travels more than sights do.
Take lots of photos.
You may only see these places and meet these people once in your lifetime. 38 Don’t worry about looking like a “tourist”. Are you traveling to look cool? No one cares. Great photos are the meaningful souvenirs.
Keep an open mind.
39 Listen to opinions you don’t agree with. It’s arrogant (傲慢的) to assume your views are correct and other people’s are wrong. Try to put yourself in someone else’s shoes and embrace different possibilities, opportunities, people, suggestions and interests. Ask questions. You don’t have to agree, but you may be surprised at what you’ll learn.
40
I know it’s a cliché (陈词滥调), but you should still attempt it. Seek out interesting and unusual places where you don’t see many tourists. Many memorable travel experiences have happened to me in areas that are not easy to visit.
A.Get off the beaten path.
B.Break out of your comfort zone.
C.Remember them forever with plenty of pictures.
D.Wake up early and it is a magical time for photos.
E.So it’s easier to communicate than you might think.
F.These are the best travel tips I’ve discovered along the way.
G.Don’t judge the lifestyles of others if they are different from your own.

Elena was the top member of the school’s Astronomy (天文) Club. She believed everything in space could be explained with numbers and facts. Her notebooks were full of perfect star drawings. Her world of perfect rules, however, was put to the test when the club advisor, Mr. Davis, asked her to work with Leo, who was also in the Astronomy Club but drew messy pictures and lived by the idea that “how you feel is more important than being exact.”
Their task was to make a poster for the school’s Stargazing (观星) Night. “I want this poster to be both accurate and imaginative,” said the teacher. “You know, that’s what astronomy is all about. It is science, but at the same time, it’s a romantic story written in the stars.” Both Elena and Leo were confused. After all, one valued strict accuracy above all, while the other chased pure creative expression.
Elena watched quietly as Leo cut a piece from her best star drawing and stuck it on paper covered in blue paint.
“You’re ruining it,” Elena said. “The stars should stay in their proper positions.”
“No, they need to feel alive,” Leo replied, dipping his brush in white paint to add glowing stars magically.
Elena hesitated, then moved one of Leo’s colorful planets slightly to adjust it better.
“Hey, don’t change that!” Leo said quickly.
“I just want it to make sense,” Elena said, biting her lip.
They couldn’t agree, so they worked separately. Elena created a poster with perfect details, but it felt cold and lifeless. Leo’s colorful design was full of energy, yet it didn’t clearly show the stars’ positions. Secretly looking at each other’s work, they both wondered if work together could make the poster better. The day before the deadline, they met in the empty classroom, their unfinished works side by side. Their eyes met. They felt no anger, only a quiet understanding that something was still missing.
注意:
1. 续写词数应为150左右;
2. 请按如下格式在答题卡的相应位置作答。
“We can’t make it if we work separately,” Elena spoke up first.

Over the past 8 years, we’ve grown rapidly thanks to our outstanding team spirit and customer-centered market strategy. In 2021, our employee count reached 200 as we expanded our business scope to nationwide clients. Now, in 2026, we have 500 employees working in 5 different branches across the country, covering diverse business fields. I’m proud to have witnessed every step of the company’s growth and contribute to it. And I believe we will achieve even greater success in the future.

Hi, everyone. This is the monthly meeting of our club. We’ve been fortunate to have got good advice from some famous athletes on how to improve our skills and build up our body. Today, we’ll hear something different. We’re honored to have Emma Wilson here. Emma is a health expert and lecturer from UBC, the University of British Columbia. Emma worked for a football team in Manchester, then for a very successful rugby team in Dublin, and finally ended up working here in Vancouver. Emma says it’s challenging to be a health expert, because people can be easily influenced by advertisements that lack scientific support. Also, people aren’t willing to change their views about food and nutrition as there is so much confusing information online. It’s really important to hear what experts say and that’s why we’ve invited Emma here. She isn’t going to tell us about everything we should eat, but she will teach us to make better choices. Let’s welcome Emma Wilson.

阅读下列短文,从每题所给的A、B、C和D四个选项中,选出最佳选项。

C
【答案】28.B 29.B 30.A 31.B
【导语】本文是一篇议论文。文章通过对比瘦人和胖人的不同生活态度和方式,幽默地捍卫了一种放松、接受的生活方式,反对崇拜控制和效率的文化。
28.推理判断题。根据第二段中“I prefer slow, relaxed, easygoing fat people who know that if you clean something today, it will just get dirty again tomorrow.(我更喜欢那些缓慢、放松、随和的胖子,他们知道如果你今天打扫了某样东西,它明天又会变脏)”和第三段中“They like to go straight to “the heart of the matter,” while fat people are willing to leave things a bit unclear and vague, which is closer to how life really is.
根据最后一段中“Fat people, however, are convivial. They will forgive you, comfort you, and make you laugh.(然而,胖人是convivial的。他们会原谅你,安慰你,逗你笑)”可知,划线词后的句子“他们会原谅你,安慰你,逗你笑”是对该词含义的具体解释。这些行为描述的是一个在社交中令人愉快、给人温暖和欢乐的形象。故划线词convivial的意思是“令人愉快的,友好的”,与B项“joyful and socially warm towards others”同义。故选B项。
30.主旨大意题。通读全文,结合第一段“Caesar was right: thin people need watching. I’ve been watching them for most of my adult life, and I don’t like what I see. Whatever their personalities, thin people share one trait: they are very serious about everything.(凯撒说得对:瘦人需要被监视。我成年后的大部分时间都在观察他们,我不喜欢我所看到的。无论他们的个性如何,瘦人都有一个共同特点:他们对一切都非常认真)”、第二段“I prefer slow, relaxed, easygoing fat people who know that if you clean something today, it will just get dirty again tomorrow.(我更喜欢那些缓慢、放松、随和的胖人,他们知道如果你今天把某样东西清理干净,明天它又会变脏)”以及最后一段“Fat people, however, are convivial. They will forgive you, comfort you, and make you laugh.(然而,胖人是欢乐友好的。他们会原谅你,安慰你,逗你笑)”可知,本文主要通过对瘦人与胖人在生活态度、性格特点、思维方式等方面的对比,幽默地批判了瘦人所代表的追求控制、效率和严肃的文化,为胖人所代表的放松、包容、顺其自然的生活方式进行辩护。故A项“It humorously defends a relaxed, accepting way of living against a culture that worships control and efficiency.(它幽默地捍卫了一种放松、接受的生活方式,反对崇拜控制与效率的文化)”能概括文章主旨。故选A项。
31.推理判断题。文章开篇第一句“Caesar was right: thin people need watching. I’ve been watching them for most of my adult life, and I don’t like what I see.(凯撒说得对:瘦人需要被监视。我成年后的大部分时间都在观察他们,我不喜欢我所看到的)”直接表达了对瘦人的抱怨。随后,文章通篇将瘦人与胖人在生活态度、性格、思维方式等方面进行对比(如第一段“They live as if life were a project that must always be improved.(他们活得好像生活是一个必须不断改进的项目)”与“Fat people often feel the day is already long enough.(胖人常常觉得一天已经够长了)”的对比;第二段“Their fast metabolisms keep them moving all the time...looking for new problems to “tackle”.(他们快速的新陈代谢让他们一直动个不停……寻找新的问题去“解决”)”与“I prefer slow, relaxed, easygoing fat people who know that if you clean something today, it will just get dirty again tomorrow.(我更喜欢那些缓慢、放松、随和的胖人,他们知道如果你今天把某样东西清理干净,明天它又会变脏)”的对比),并在对比中明显流露出对胖人的偏爱(如“I prefer slow, relaxed, easygoing fat people”)。由此可推断出,文章的组织结构是“先抱怨瘦人,然后通过对比来展现对胖人的偏好”。故选B项。
【答案】32.A 33.D 34.C 35.A
根据第三段“On the other hand, too much social interaction can be equally exhausting. An essential aspect of a well-balanced social life is alone time, a chance to recharge, according to research. A teacher who interacts with students and colleagues all day may not have the bandwidth (带宽) to volunteer to lead a birding walk.(另一方面,过多的社交互动同样会令人疲惫。研究表明,独处时间是构建平衡社交生活的重要一环,它能为人们提供自我充电的机会。例如,一位整天与学生和同事打交道的老师,可能就没有额外精力再去主动带领观鸟徒步活动了)”可知,本段主要强调了独处时间的重要性,指出它是平衡社交生活的一个关键要素。故选A项。
33.推理判断题。根据第五段中““The really ironic thing is a lot of people don’t have that self-insight. We’ve interacted with people our whole lives — we have friends and we have partners and a lot of what we do every day is talking to other people,” says William Chopik, a social-personality psychologist and an associate professor at Michigan State University. “I don’t think a lot of people sit down and really take stock of the exact amount of social interaction that makes them comfortable.”(“真正具有讽刺意味的是,很多人缺乏这种自我洞察力。我们一生都在与人交往——我们有朋友,有伴侣,我们每天做的很多事情就是和别人交谈,”密歇根州立大学社会人格心理学家、副教授William Chopik说。“我认为很多人不会坐下来真正评估让他们感到舒适的社交互动的确切数量。”)”可知,William Chopik认为很多人缺乏自我洞察力,无法确定自己理想的社交互动量,这让他觉得讽刺。故选D项。
34.细节理解题。根据最后一段“Being intentional with your interpersonal contact and maintaining a variety of conversation partners are crucial to supporting a healthy social life. Keeping loneliness at bay requires a nominal (少量的), yet committed, effort: At the end of a day, week, or month, take stock of with whom you socialized, what kinds of interactions you had, and whether you feel emotionally satisfied to get a clearer picture of your social intake.(有意识地与人交往,保持各种各样的交谈伙伴,对支持健康的社交生活至关重要。远离孤独需要付出微不足道但坚定的努力:在一天、一周或一个月结束时,评估一下你和谁交往过,你进行了什么样的互动,以及你是否感到情感上的满足,以便更清楚地了解你的社交摄入)”可知,人们可以通过反思社交互动和情感满足来维持健康的社交生活。故选C项。
35.主旨大意题。通读全文,结合第四段中“Fighting off both loneliness and social exhaustion is a difficult task. Because everyone’s social lives and social desires vary so greatly, researchers are unable to prescribe (开处方) a set amount of interaction for a fulfilled life. Only we can identify our right dose of time spent with others.(既要对抗孤独感,又要避免社交倦怠,确实是项艰难的任务。 故选A项。

【答案】范文
An Experience During the May Day
During the May Day, I participated in the labor organized by our community. The project focused on cleaning and beautifying our local park.
The process involved several tasks, including cleaning up litter and planting new flowers. We started early in the morning, equipped with trash bags and gardening tools. The most challenging part was digging and planting. It was not until dusk that we finished our task and went home.
The experience made me appreciate the value of community. Seeing the tidy park, I felt a sense of fulfillment.
第二节(满分25分)
阅读下面材料:根据其内容和所给段落开头语续写两段,使之构成一篇完整的短文。
注意:
1. 续写词数应为150左右;
2. 请按如下格式在答题卡的相应位置作答。
“We can’t make it if we work separately,” Elena spoke up first.

The next morning, they showed the poster to Mr. Davis and club members.
________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
【答案】 “We can’t make it if we work separately,” Elena spoke up first.
