It’s all about the Tang Dynasty and I can’t put it down! It’s the first history book that has ever got my attention. In the first week alone, A Journey Back to the Tang Dynasty sold 50,000 copies, and it’s still on the top ten bestseller list after six months! The reason why the book is so popular among the reader mainly lies in its writing style. The author turns history into a story. She gives a vivid description of historical figures or events. Her language is easy to understand. Meanwhile, the author has tried her best to achieve factual accuracy. In order to check the facts, she has referred to many academic history books. In the book, different views on the same event have been considered. Similar events have been compared. The book also gives a lot of thoughtful comments on some events. The author has even inspired me to do more research on certain topics. I’ve never been so eager to read up on history!
