Hello, everyone. The Chinese-made product I like best is the DJI drone. It is a small flying machine that can take photos and videos from the sky.
In my daily life, I often fly the drone in my neighborhood and local parks. I also use it to take videos when I travel. The coolest thing is that sometimes I can even use the videos I take for my school projects, and my classmates enjoy watching them!
The DJI drone has encouraged me to explore new things, made learning more interesting for me, and given me the confidence to try creative ideas. I think products like this can help people a lot and change our lives for the better.

In many parts of China, old villages are slowly disappearing as young people move away. Hoping to keep their memory alive, two young men, Guo Fuji and his friend Qiu Zhihao, began a special journey after graduating from college.
With heavy cameras on their backs, Guo and Qiu walked along mountain roads to reach remote (偏远的) villages, where only elderly people still live. At first, most villagers were careful, and some were even afraid of them. But when Guo and Qiu explained their purpose and showed their videos, the villagers slowly opened their hearts. Some even invited them into their homes, shared food from their fields, and told them stories from the past.
One touching experience was meeting a woman with hearing problems. She welcomed them warmly and gave them wild vegetables she had picked. She proudly showed them her farmland and smiled with joy. Guo was deeply moved by her kindness and her cheerful way of living.
So far, the pair have recorded 21 villages in Chenzhou, Hunan Province. In one of them, they met 70-year-old craftsman (手艺人) Li Jipan, who is skilled at bamboo weaving, carpentry and calligraphy (竹编 、木工和书法). His daughter explained that few young people today are learning such traditional skills. Li was very happy to be filmed. He believed it allowed him to pass on his knowledge and keep the spirit of his craft alive.
Guo and Qiu hope to record all the old villages in Hunan and then move to other places. They hope to build a digital (数字的) village museum in the future. As Guo said, even if the villages disappear, the wisdom of the people and their traditions will remain as valuable treasures of Chinese culture.

What is the sky? How high is it? What color is it? These questions are difficult to answer, aren’t they? In fact, the sky has no color. Then why does the sky look blue?
We know that there is air around the world. When planes fly, they need air to lift their wings (机翼). Planes can’t fly very high. That is because the air gets thinner when they go higher. The same will happen to us if we go high enough. If we go up about 1,200 kilometers from the earth, we’ll find no air there.
Looking up above us, you will see the blue sky with white clouds. The color would be bluer when you see it on the top of a high mountain. And you will see fewer clouds in the sky between you and the sun. Sometimes the sky doesn’t look blue. When the sun rises and falls, you will see red, orange, and other colors in the sky.
Who can see the colors of the sky high above the earth? The astronauts! They can see those beautiful colors of the sky from the outer space. However, before flying into the outer space, they sit in a spaceship high above the earth, and there is no air at all. The sky would be dark and its color would be black.
Now you may understand that we see colors because the air scatters the sunlight. Light travels through the air. Without air, there would be no colors.
( ) 46. Why does the writer talk about planes’ flying in Paragraph 2?
A. To show that there’s air around the world.
B. To explain how the planes can fly in the sky.
C. To introduce the topic that the air becomes thinner when it’s higher.
( ) 47. When you stand on the top of a high mountain, you will see ______.
A. more air B. fewer clouds C. more colors
( ) 48. In Sichuan, we might see many colors in the sky at about ______ during the day in summer.
A. 1:00 a.m. B. 3:00 a.m. C. 7:00 p.m.
( ) 49. The underlined word “scatters” probably means “______” in Chinese in this passage.
A. 使停止 B. 使散射 C. 使削弱
( ) 50. What does the passage mainly talk about?
A. Why the sky looks blue.

C. Why the sky changes colors.

Technology has given us the chance to know more information than ever before in history. But this chance comes with great responsibility (责任). It’s not enough to just read the news — we have to know how to critically evaluate (批判性地评估) it. And that’s why I think schools should offer media literacy courses (媒体素养课).
Media literacy refers to the ability to read, understand and evaluate any kind of media. Being able to tell whether a news story is true or false is an important part of media literacy. Unluckily, it is a skill that many people don’t seem to have.
This lack (缺失) of media literacy can be easily seen on social media. In 2016, an untrue story about a woman winning the lottery (彩票) was shared more than 1.77 million times on Facebook. This is just one example of how false information can spread when people don’t have media literacy.
If media literacy is taught in schools, kids will get the skills they need to look through the Internet. Many of these skills are simple, for example, being able to take a look at a news website and tell if it has a certain kind of bias (偏见).
It is important that kids learn these skills from an early age, as the future of media will only get more crowded as time goes by. Learning to tell fact apart from fiction will help kids get the right information.
( ) 51. Why does the writer think that schools should offer media literacy courses?
A. To give students a way to know more information.
B. To train students to be more responsible.
C. To teach students how to evaluate a piece of news.
( ) 52. According to Paragraph 2, what does media literacy include?
a. the ability to read a news story
b. the ability to understand a news story
c. the ability to tell whether a news story is true or false
d. the ability to write a news story
A. abc B. abd C. bcd
( ) 53. How does the writer show people’s lack of media literacy?
A. By explaining its reasons. B. By using an example. C. By listing numbers.
( ) 54. What can we learn from the passage?
A. Many social media users don’t have media literacy.
B. Untrue stories are sometimes taught at schools.
C. Students should not be allowed to use social media.
( ) 55. What is the main idea of this passage?
A. We should keep up with the newest information.
B. It’s necessary for students to learn media literacy.
C. The Internet is full of false information.

Music is certainly something I use. It can be as simple as listening to a piece of soft music like Für Elise to quietly fall asleep after a long and tiring day at work.
I also listen to certain electronic music when I have a headache. It really carries my mind and helps relieve (缓解) pain, as if it were a kind of magic medicine.
I even listen to the music from “Requiem for a Dream”. It makes me feel afraid every time I listen to it. My sister has asked me very strictly never to play the music while she’s in the house.
As you see, I like different kinds of music. I really love listening to Bhimsen Joshi (an Indian singer) when I’m in my hometown for the weekend. It reminds me of the times when my dad and mom and I used to sit together and listen to old classical songs.
My point so far is that music has great influence on everything you do. You might start to recall memories related to music. When this happens, your love for music gets stronger. You might start to
feel free and stop consciously (有意识地) sensing the lyrics. When this happens, you start to let music guide your feelings.
As for me, I especially love the situation of listening to music. I can’t seem to have an exact recall of what I was doing or thinking when I was listening to music. When it ends, it is as if I woke from a dream.
You should really be open to all kinds of music and be able to enjoy each kind. You should try to let music carry you and let it do its wonders.
