对刘翔而言,成为体育英雄的日子始于2004年。首先,他被邀请到世界各地参加比赛,随后他被中国国家队选中参加了雅典奥运会并赢得了一枚金牌。
刘翔最初并不是一名成功的运动员。他1983年7月13日出生于上海,很小的时候就开始训练了。在四年级的时候,他去了上海普陀区少年体校。起初,(人们)鼓励刘翔练跳高。
1998年,孙海平,也就是他后来的教练,发现了他的跨栏天赋。2001年,(国家)创立了一个特殊项目,用来帮助年轻运动员。刘翔就是其中的一位。他的比赛被录下来,与世界一流运动员的表现进行比较。孙海平借助这些信息来调整刘翔的训练方法。

刘翔平时训练非常刻苦。事实上,他训练得太刻苦了,导致脚部受了伤。从2008年起,他就开始忍受脚伤带来的痛苦,但是他从没放弃过。尽管他错过了一些比赛,但是他仍然在2012年重登110米跨栏比赛的榜首。
令人遗憾的是,他的脚伤使他没能完成2012年伦敦奥运会的比赛。但是,他仍然是勇气和成功的象征,我们依然为他感到十分骄傲。

Zhang Yining is a famous table tennis player. She was born in Beijing in 1981. She started playing table tennis at the age of 6. Later she was noticed by Coach Wang Biling and was asked to go to Beijing Shichahai Sports School. A lot of Zhang Yining's time was taken up by her training programme. At the same time, she was advised by her mother to study as well as train hard. In 1993, she joined the national team.
At the age of 15, she became a table tennis champion. In 2004, she took part in the 28th Olympic Games and won two gold medals. In 2008, she also won two gold medals at the 29th Beijing Olympic Games.
She is a symbol of courage and success. We all take great pride in her.
