T: Good morning, boys and girls! How are you today?
Ss: Good morning! We are fine, thank you.
T: Great! Last unit, we learned about summer holidays. Now, Li Ming will fly home next week. He wants to buy gifts for his family. Today we learn Lesson 19: Buying Gifts. Let's read the title together.

二、新知呈现:At the shop(约15分钟)
T: Jenny asks Li Ming, "How many gifts do you need, Li Ming?" What does Li Ming say?
(Read: "I need eleven gifts. I need a gift for everyone in my family.")
T: What gifts does Li Ming buy?
(Read:)
"Here are some little flags," says Jenny. "Good idea! I'll take three," says Li Ming.
"What about these caps?" Jenny asks. "Okay, I'll take four," says Li Ming.
"Look at these T-shirts," says Jenny. "Great! I'll take three T-shirts. And I want a toy for my cousin," says Li Ming.
T: How many little flags does Li Ming take?
Ss: Three!
T: How many caps?
Ss: Four!
T: How many T-shirts?
Ss: Three!
T: And a toy for his cousin. So total gifts: 3 + 4 + 3 + 1 = 11!
T: Perfect! And Li Ming also wants to buy a surprise for Jenny!
三、操练巩固:Let's do it!(约20分钟)
T: Now let's fill in the table about Li Ming's gifts.

T: Let's answer the questions:
1. What are the gifts?
The gifts are little flags, caps, T-shirts and a toy.

-otal: 3×$3 + 4×$5 + 3×$9 + 1×$10 = $9 + $20 + $27 + $10 = $66.
T: Now let's do "Ask and answer". Look at the prices:
pencil box: ¥5, book: ¥15, cap: ¥10, T-shirt: ¥15, teddy bear: ¥8, cake: ¥60, card: ¥2, basketball: ¥50.
T: What do you want to buy for your friends?
S1: I want to buy two caps and a book.
T: How much is that?
S1: 2×¥10 + ¥15 = ¥35!
四、拓展运用:我的礼物清单(约5分钟)
T: Now, what gifts do you want to buy for your family? Let's make a list.
S2: I want to buy a book for my father, a toy for my cousin, and a cake for my mother!
T: Excellent! Gifts are a way to show our love!
