No, i'm just helping out here. Are you thinking about volunteering to? I'd love to, but I already spend my weekends with an environmental group. All right, you can still take a plan. You, like most of our customers, are local families and business owners, but we are primarily giving these plants away to people living on campus. Having plants around is good . for their eyes. That's great. Which plants do people usually prefer? Flowers are always popular. Everyone wants bright colors in their rooms, but I personally prefer urban plants. They smell amazing, and you can use them for cooking or making tea. That sounds lovely. I think i'll take one of those urban plants is perfect for my kitchen. Thanks for your help. hi. They hide nuts underground to eat throughout the winter. But of course, some get forgotten about. So the minute the weather starts warming up like this. wow, I wonder if the parking keepers will let IT stay there. Who knows? But it's clever how the tree and the square worked together without even knowing IT. Yeah, a perfect example of teamwork, making the . dream work exactly. The tree feeds the squirl, and the squirl Carries the baby trees away from their parents. So they're not competing for light and water. It's rather inspiring. 根据第四段中“The Museum of the Future was designed by Killa Design architecture studio which aims to show its level of environmental friendliness in real estate. 根据倒数第二段中“You will witness the biodiversity of the rainforest, helping you discover new species. B Tinamous are ground-dwelling jungle birds in the forests of Central and South America. They camouflage (伪装) themselves to hide from predators (捕食者). What doesn’t make sense is why such artfully camouflaged birds lay brightly colored eggs and leave males alone to protect them. Studying tinamous in Costa Rica, scientist Patricia Brennan discovered 60 percent of eggs were cared for by males, but not their biological fathers. This goes against the standard Darwin’s theory that male-only parental care should only evolve (进化) when males have a high certainty of biological fatherhood. Brennan thought she’d made a mistake. Yet, double-checking her lab work, she found she was right and wondered how the female was getting away with it. If biological fatherhood is important to tinamous, one would expect the male to evolve a way of throwing out foreign eggs. But as Brennan discovered, the male tinamou has no such skills. To do her biological fatherhood testing, she had to remove real eggs and replace them with fake ones. The males continued to incubate (孵化) the fake eggs regardless. Then, when the baby birds came out of the eggs in her lab, Brennan would put them in existing young in the forest. Again, the males didn’t care. That was her aha moment. She set up cameras on the tinamou nests (巢) and recorded about 80 percent of the eggs being eaten by predators, mostly snakes. Brennan realized that the best way for both females and males to achieve their baby birds’ best survival chance was to spread their eggs across different nests. This intentional mix-up also explained the eggs’ bright colors. This is an attraction signal to other females to lay their eggs there. Brennan observed that snakes only ate at most three eggs at a time. So, the more eggs, the better chance of surviving. Her research, then, rescues the great tinamou from being considered an irresponsible parent, but also shows that the idea of being a good mother can take many forms. 24.What can we learn from the first two paragraphs? A.Brennan’s lab work turned out a failure. B.Brennan’s study changed Darwin’s theory. C.Tinamou eggs were taken care of by males. D.Tinamou eggs were well hidden from predators. 25.What does Brennan’s “aha moment” in paragraph 4 refer to? A.She drove away all the snakes. B.She found tinamous’ survival secret. C.She recorded the process of egg loss. D.She set up cameras on tinamou nests. 26.What role do the brightly colored eggs play? A.They make it easier for males to find the eggs. B.They act as a warning to predators to stay away. C.They help the males to protect eggs more easily. D.They attract other females to lay in the same nest. 27.What does the behaviour of tinamous show? A.Like father, like son. B.Birds in their little nests agree. C.When one door shuts, another opens. D.Don’t put all your eggs in one basket. 根据第一段最后一句“What doesn’t make sense is why such artfully camouflaged birds lay brightly colored eggs and leave males alone to protect them. 及第二段第一句“Studying tinamous in Costa Rica, scientist Patricia Brennan discovered 60 percent of eggs were cared for by males, but not their biological fathers. 根据第四段中“Brennan realized that the best way for both females and males to achieve their baby birds’ best survival chance was to spread their eggs across different nests.(Brennan意识到,对雌鸟和雄鸟来说,实现雏鸟最佳存活机会的最好方式就是把它们的蛋分散到不同的巢里。)” 根据第五段中“This intentional mix-up also explained the eggs’ bright colors. This is an attraction signal to other females to lay their eggs there. 这正对应了谚语“Don’t put all your eggs in one basket (不要把所有鸡蛋放在一个篮子里)”,意为不要将所有资源和希望集中于一处,应分散风险。故选D。 C As nations rush to adopt renewable energy, a significant conflict has arisen: the need for land to construct large solar farms often destroys forests, which are essential for absorbing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. This paradox (悖论), where a climate solution contributes to another environmental problem, is particularly severe in thickly populated countries. In South Korea, for instance, thousands of hectares of forest have been cleared for solar panel installations (安装), erasing vital carbon sinks, causing soil loss, and destroying natural habitats for wildlife. This trade-off between clean energy and ecosystem preservation poses a serious challenge to achieving global climate goals. A promising solution may come in the form of “solar trees”, a creative technology designed to copy the shape of a real tree. As detailed in a new study published in Scientific Reports, these structures feature solar panels arranged in a manner similar to branches and leaves in tree top. This design enables them to generate electricity while casting minimal shade, allowing sunlight to reach the forest floor and permitting underlying plants and ecosystems to continue growing well. Unlike vast ground-mounted solar farms that require the clear-cutting of land, solar trees can be integrated directly into existing forests, offering a way to produce power while preserving nature. In a first-of-its-kind analysis, researcher Dan-Bi Um used 3D computer simulations (模拟) to model a sweeping installation of solar trees in a coastal forest in Goseong County, South Korea, and compared it to a real-world solar farm already there. The results were striking — the conventional flat-panel installation required clearing 98 percent of the forest. In contrast, Um’s simulation showed that arranging solar trees in a row along existing roads preserved 99 percent of the forest cover. The study demonstrates that this preservation does not have to come at the expense of power. The simulation found that just 63 high-efficiency solar trees could produce the same 1 megawatt of power as the land-intensive flat-panel farm. By offering a solution to energy needs and environmental conservation, solar trees represent a strategic path forward for countries aiming to meet ambitious climate targets without losing their invaluable forests. 28.What is the key contradiction mentioned in the first paragraph? A.Wildlife habitats are threatened by soil loss. B.Solar farms fail to absorb carbon dioxide effectively. C.Renewable energy adoption leads to forest destruction. D.Thickly populated countries lack enough land for development. 29.Why are solar trees designed like real trees? A.To make installation easier in roads. B.To reduce the shade on the forest floor. C.To make them more attractive in forests. D.To help them absorb more carbon dioxide. 30.What conclusion can be drawn about conventional ground-mounted solar farms? A.They are mainly built along coastal areas. B.They produce less power per panel than solar trees. C.They need to clear most of the trees where they were installed. D.They generate electricity that is easy to store and transport. 31.What is the best title for the text? A.Forest destruction Caused by Solar Farms B.Solar Technology Advancement in South Korea C.Renewable Energy: Advantages and Disadvantages D.Solar Trees: Preserving Forests While Generating Power 【答案】28.C 29.B 30.C 31.D 【导语】本文是一篇说明文。 根据第一段“As nations rush to adopt renewable energy, a significant conflict has arisen: the need for land to construct large solar farms often destroys forests, which are essential for absorbing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.(随着各国纷纷努力推广可再生能源,一个重大的矛盾问题出现了:建造大型太阳能发电场所需的土地往往会破坏森林,而森林对于吸收大气中的二氧化碳至关重要)”可知,主要冲突是可再生能源的采用导致森林破坏,故选C。 29. 根据第二段“This design enables them to generate electricity while casting minimal shade, allowing sunlight to reach the forest floor and permitting underlying plants and ecosystems to continue growing well.(这种设计使得它们在发电的同时能最大限度地减少阴影的产生,从而让阳光能够照到森林地面,使底层的植物和生态系统得以继续良好地生长)”可知,太阳能树设计成真实树木的形状是为了减少对森林地面的遮挡,故选B。 30. 根据第三段“The results were striking — the conventional flat-panel installation required clearing 98 percent of the forest.(结果令人震惊——传统的平板式安装方式需要砍伐98%的森林资源)”可知,传统平板式光伏设施需砍伐98%的森林,因此可推断它们会清除安装区内大部分树木,故选C。 31. 根据第二段“A promising solution may come in the form of“ solar trees”, a creative technology designed to copy the shape of a real tree.(一种颇具前景的解决方案或许会以“太阳能树”的形式出现,这是一种模仿真实树木形状的创新技术)”以及文章围绕太阳能树展开,强调其在发电的同时保护森林的特点,D选项“太阳树:在发电的同时保护森林”最符合文章标题。故选D。 D In the Bolivian Amazon, the wide grasslands and calm lakes around Lake Rogaguado and Lake Ginebra appear untouched. Yet research now shows that these landscapes were shaped for centuries by people who learned to live with a challenging environment. Their achievements, hidden beneath the soil, are helping scientists understand how humans and nature once supported each other and how they still can today. Recent investigations combined on-the-ground surveys with LiDAR mapping to uncover ancient settlements dating from 600 to 1400 CE. At Paquio, evidence shows a gradual shift from simple living to organized farming. People built canals to guide seasonal floods, created raised fields to grow crops, and left behind food remains that reveal a steady improvement in farming and daily life. At Jasschaja, later communities expanded this system, managing nearby forests and increasing crop diversity. Together, these sites show a long tradition of adapting to climate and water cycles rather than resisting them. Across the region, unusual patterns — circles, straight lines, and long platforms — are clearly visible from above. These shapes are not natural. They are large-scale earthworks designed to control water, improve soil, and create stable places to live in a landscape that can shift dramatically between rainy and dry seasons. Their variety suggests generations of experimentation, reflecting both perseverance (毅力) and creativity. Investigations also show that people combined fishing, hunting, and farming to form a balanced diet. Remains of fish and small mammals reveal how closely their survival depended on understanding rich wetland resources. Today, Cayubaba and Movima communities still live in these areas. Their knowledge of seasons, plants, and wildlife offers researchers valuable guidance. Through cooperation, local residents and scientists are protecting cultural sites and supporting conservation programs in the surrounding wetlands. As the Amazon faces rising deforestation (毁林) and climate pressure, the Bolivian Amazon provides a reminder; long-term survival comes from working with nature’s rhythms. The ancient systems found here suggest that sustainable living is not a modern invention but a lesson carried forward from those who shaped the land with care. 32.Why are Paquio and Jasschaja mentioned in paragraph 2? A.To illustrate the challenges for early settlers. B.To compare the lifestyles of the two communities. C.To provide proof of adaptive ancient practices. D.To list the advantage of ancient farming methods. 33.What do recent investigations reveal? A.Farming mattered most to ancient life. B.People survived on nature skillfully. C.Seasonal variation shaped the landscape. D.Wetland resources were richer than expected. 34.What role does the Bolivian Amazon play? A.A testing ground for new research. B.A birthplace of ancient civilization. C.A living example of sustainable living. D.A pioneer in modern conservation efforts. 35.Which of the following is the best title for the text? A.Lessons from the Past: How to Live with Nature B.Ancient Wisdom Protects the Amazon’s Biodiversity C.Technology Uncovers Secrets of the Bolivian Wetlands D.Forgotten Cities: A Witness to Bolivia’s Lost Civilizations 【答案】32.C 33.B 34.C 35.A 【导语】这是一篇说明文。 根据原文第二段“At Paquio, evidence shows a gradual shift from simple living to organized farming. Squirrel, birds and even deer make their homes here too. These wild neighbors have got used to streetlights and tall buildings. 36 This balance turns concrete jungles into lively places where both humans and animals can live well. ●Offer natural food instead of handouts. Feeding urban animals bread or snacks may seem kind. But it can hurt their health and make them rely on humans. You can pick natural food sources to care for urban wildlife properly. Plant native flowers, and you will attract bees and butterflies. Grow berry bushes, and squirrels and birds will get safe, healthy food. 37 ●Respect the boundaries of wild neighbors. Every animal shows signs when it feels threatened. A bird may cry out an alarm. A fox may glance at you cautiously. 38 We can also protect their space in daily life: seal trash cans to stop raccoons from garbage rummaging(翻找),and keep cats indoors to keep birds and cats safe. ● 39 Small design changes help urban animals a lot. Green roofs are cozy nests for pigeons and bats. Leave some park corners wild with tall grass, and rabbits will have a place to hide. It turns isolated spots into wildlife pathways. These spaces link up broken habitats. Animals can then move freely without crossing busy roads. When people see urban animals as neighbors, not pests, they will protect them. Schools can organize nature walks. 40 Media can produce more animal science programs. Little by little, such care and understanding will build harmonious cities for all. Harmony is possible for all city residents. A.Create wildlife-human interactions. B.Thus, their wild survival skills stay sharp. C.Big projects are needed to protect wildlife. D.Adjust urban details to care for the animals. E.Learning these signs helps us avoid trouble. F.Neighborhoods can start bird-watching groups. The wind was howling, and snowflakes were dancing in the air, covering the roads and trees with a thick white blanket. She pulled her coat tightly around herself and quickened her steps, anxious to get back to the warmth of her home. As she passed an old alley (小巷) near her neighborhood, she heard a faint whimpering sound. Curious but a little frightened, Lily hesitated (犹豫) for a moment. The sound was soft and weak, like that of a small animal in trouble. “Should I check it out?” she thought to herself. Her parents had always told her not to talk to strangers or go into dark alleys, but the pitiful sound touched her heart. She took a deep breath and walked slowly into the alley. The snow was deeper here, and the wind seemed to blow even harder. After walking a few steps, she found a small, shaking puppy huddled behind a pile of old boxes. Its fur was covered with snow and dirt, and its eyes were filled with fear and helplessness. Lily’s heart melted immediately. She knelt down (跪) gently and reached out her hands. The puppy looked at her cautiously, then slowly moved closer and licked her hands. Lily knew she couldn’t leave the poor puppy alone in the cold. But she also worried: her mother showed no interest in furry animals, and her father was always busy with work. Would her family agree to keep it? With a determined look, she wrapped (包,裹) the puppy in her scarf and held it tightly in her arms. She hurried home, hoping that her parents would understand her decision. As soon as Lily got home, her mother’s eyes fell on the small puppy. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ A week later, the once-frightened puppy had become an important part of the family. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 【答案】 As soon as Lily got home, her mother’s eyes fell on the small puppy. “Lily, what’s this?” her mother asked, a little surprised. Lily hugged the puppy tightly, explaining how she found it shivering in the cold alley, helpless and frightened. She begged her mother to let them keep it, promising to take full responsibility for feeding and cleaning it. Her mother softened when she saw the puppy’s innocent eyes and Lily’s determined look. Just then, her father came home and, after hearing the story, smiled and nodded. The puppy licked their hands gently, as if expressing thanks.     A week later, the once-frightened puppy had become an important part of the family. It was no longer shy and would run to greet Lily and her parents when they got home. Lily named it Snowy for its white fur after being cleaned. She fed it every morning and played with it after school, while her mother even prepared a soft bed for it. Her father, though busy, would take Snowy for a walk on weekends. Snowy brought endless joy to the family, and Lily knew her kindness had given the little puppy a warm home and themselves a precious companion. 解释:explain/clarify ②. 恳求:beg/plead ③. 照料:feed/take care of 情感类 ①. 善良:kindness/goodness ②. 喜悦:joy/happiness 【点睛】[高分句型1]. C As nations rush to adopt renewable energy, a significant conflict has arisen: the need for land to construct large solar farms often destroys forests, which are essential for absorbing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. A.Forest destruction Caused by Solar Farms B.Solar Technology Advancement in South Korea C.Renewable Energy: Advantages and Disadvantages D.Solar Trees: Preserving Forests While Generating Power D In the Bolivian Amazon, the wide grasslands and calm lakes around Lake Rogaguado and Lake Ginebra appear untouched. A.Lessons from the Past: How to Live with Nature B.Ancient Wisdom Protects the Amazon’s Biodiversity C.Technology Uncovers Secrets of the Bolivian Wetlands D.Forgotten Cities: A Witness to Bolivia’s Lost Civilizations Living in Harmony with Urban Wildlife Cities are not just for people. G.Citizens have learned to share our space with them. When beloved dog Jade suffered a reaction (反应) to her medication, her owners Tim Paul and Laura Wilderman 41 . Lily, a 16-year-old high school student, was walking home from school alone. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 试题 第3页(共8页) 试题 第4页(共8页) 试题 第1页(共8页) 试题 第2页(共8页) 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $ 2025-2026学年高一必修第三册英语单元自测 Unit1·基础卷(江苏专用) 学校:___________班级:___________姓名:___________分数:___________ (时间:120分钟,满分:150分) 第一部分 听力(共两节,满分30分) 1.A2.C3.A4.B5.B6.C 7.A8.C 9.B 10.C11.A 12.A 13.B 14.B 15.C 16.B17.B 18.A 19.C 20.C 第二部分 阅读(共两节,满分50分) 第一节 (共15小题;每小题2.5分,满分37.5分) A 21.B 22.D 23.C B 24.C 25.B 26.D 27.D C 28.C 29.B 30.C 31.D D 32.C 33.B 34.C 35.A 第二节 (共5小题;每小题2.5分,满分12.5分) 阅读下面短文,从短文后的选项中选出可以填入空白处的最佳选项。 36.G 37.B 38.E 39.D 40.F 第三部分 语言运用(共两节,满分30分) 第一节 (共15小题;每小题1分,满分15分) 41.D 42.C 43.A 44.B 45.A 46.C 47.C 48.D 49.D 50.C 51.D 52.A 53.B 54.A 55.B 第二节 (共10小题;每小题1.5分,满分15分) 56.to make 57.as 58.materials 59.gave 60.an 61.are displayed 62.and 63.peaceful 64.proudly 65.where 第四部分 写作(共两节,满分40分) 第一节 (满分15分) Protecting Urban Ecosystems In my city, there is a beautiful park called Green Lake Park, which is a typical urban ecosystem. It is home to various plants, birds, and small animals. The park not only provides a natural habitat for wildlife but also serves as a recreational area for residents. This ecosystem is of great value for several reasons. It helps improve air quality. It plays a role in water conservation and it offers a place for people to relax and enjoy nature, improving their mental and physical health. To protect this ecosystem, we can take the following measures: We should work together to promote public awareness of respecting and protecting the environment. What’s more, certain human activities such as littering must be restricted to minimize disturbance to wildlife and vegetation. Besides, the use of eco-friendly materials should be encouraged in park maintenance and construction to support sustainable development. Only by working together, can we ensure the long-term health of this urban ecosystem and create a better living environment for everyone. 第二节 (满分25分) As soon as Lily got home, her mother’s eyes fell on the small puppy. 1.Why does the man break up the plastic rings? C As nations rush to adopt renewable energy, a significant conflict has arisen: the need for land to construct large solar farms often destroys forests, which are essential for absorbing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. A.Forest destruction Caused by Solar Farms B.Solar Technology Advancement in South Korea C.Renewable Energy: Advantages and Disadvantages D.Solar Trees: Preserving Forests While Generating Power D In the Bolivian Amazon, the wide grasslands and calm lakes around Lake Rogaguado and Lake Ginebra appear untouched. A.Lessons from the Past: How to Live with Nature B.Ancient Wisdom Protects the Amazon’s Biodiversity C.Technology Uncovers Secrets of the Bolivian Wetlands D.Forgotten Cities: A Witness to Bolivia’s Lost Civilizations Living in Harmony with Urban Wildlife Cities are not just for people. G.Citizens have learned to share our space with them. When beloved dog Jade suffered a reaction (反应) to her medication, her owners Tim Paul and Laura Wilderman 41 . Lily, a 16-year-old high school student, was walking home from school alone. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 原创精品资源学科网独家享有版权,侵权必究!1 学科网(北京)股份有限公司1 / 23 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $
