Highlights are Room 33 (China and South Asia), Room 33b (Chinese Jade) and Room 95 (Chinese Ceramics). 故选A项。 根据How to book部分中的“But if the date or time you wish to visit is fully booked, you may still gain entry from the Montague Place entrance, where you may experience a longer queue when visitor numbers are very high. 根据Restricted items部分中的“You can carry a pushchair with you. And dangerous chemicals, offensive weapons and other suspicious items like drones will be temporarily kept before entry is granted.(你可以随身携带婴儿手推车。 B Hu Fang is a volunteer in a nonprofit organization dedicated to making films accessible to people with visual disabilities. However, it is never easy to “tell” a movie to people with vision loss. Hu Fang still recalls a simple yet unforgettable question from a child in the audience, “What is the color red? ” That moment made her realize just how little sighted narrators understand about the experience of visually disabled moviegoers. “Anything we take for granted may be completely unfamiliar to them,” she said. Since then, Hu and her fellow narrators have worked to ensure their descriptions not only fit the visuals, but also match the way the visually disabled perceive the world through sound. The work behind each accessible movie is anything but straightforward. To adapt a single 90-minute movie, the team begins by watching it ten times, carefully studying every detail of the film. Only then do they draft a narration script, typically 20,000 to 30,000 characters long. Three student volunteers, two mentors and one visually disabled participant then work together for a month or so to complete an accessible version. These screenings offer more than just movies and they also deliver a valuable social experience. “Accessible cinemas add color to our lives and give us a reason to go out. Chatting with other visually disabled friends at these events is enjoyable, and it also gives us more to talk about with sighted people,” Cao Jun, a visually disabled film enthusiast, noted. Hu said that, according to their surveys, the willingness of visually disabled people to watch films had increased from 13 percent to 63 percent within just a few years. Looking ahead, Hu hopes that increasing accessible guidance and support will allow people with various disabilities, not just the visually disabled, to better enjoy films, exhibitions, museums and other cultural experiences, giving everyone equal access to the arts. 4. What lesson did Hu Fang learn from the child’s question? A. Seeing is believing. B. Every coin has two sides. C. Practice makes perfect. D. Put yourself in others’ shoes. 5. What’s the main idea of paragraph 3? A. The details of films. B. The scripts of films. C. The efforts of the team. D. The achievements of the team. 6. What is the benefit of accessible cinemas for the visually disabled according to Cao Jun? A. Making them stay indoors. B. Helping them engage socially. C. Giving them movie knowledge. D. Offering them movie-making experiences. 7. What does Hu Fang hope for in the future? A. More chances to help the disabled interact with the sighted. B. More support to help the visually disabled master art skills. C. More accessible aid to help the disabled enjoy the arts equally. D. More guidance to help the visually disabled design exhibitions. D 5. C 6. B 7. 根据第二段“That moment made her realize just how little sighted narrators understand about the experience of visually disabled moviegoers. “Anything we take for granted may be completely unfamiliar to them,” she said.(那一刻让她意识到,那些视力正常的叙述者对于视障观众的观影体验是多么不了解。 根据第三段“The work behind each accessible movie is anything but straightforward. To adapt a single 90-minute movie, the team begins by watching it ten times, carefully studying every detail of the film. Only then do they draft a narration script, typically 20,000 to 30,000 characters long. Three student volunteers, two mentors and one visually disabled participant then work together for a month or so to complete an accessible version.(每一部易于观看的影片背后的工作过程都绝非简单直接。 根据第四段“These screenings offer more than just movies and they also deliver a valuable social experience. “Accessible cinemas add color to our lives and give us a reason to go out. Chatting with other visually disabled friends at these events is enjoyable, and it also gives us more to talk about with sighted people,” Cao Jun, a visually disabled film enthusiast, noted.(这些放映活动提供的远不止是电影,它们还带来了宝贵的社会体验。“无障碍电影院为我们的生活增添了色彩,让我们有了外出的理由。在这些活动中与其他视障朋友交流是件很愉快的事,而且这也让我们能和视力正常的人有更多的话题可聊。”视障电影爱好者曹军如是说)”可知,无障碍电影院有助于他们融入社会。故选B。 【7题详解】 细节理解题。根据第五段“Looking ahead, Hu hopes that increasing accessible guidance and support will allow people with various disabilities, not just the visually disabled, to better enjoy films, exhibitions, museums and other cultural experiences, giving everyone equal access to the arts.(展望未来,胡芳表示,通过提供更多无障碍的指导和支持,将使各类残疾人士(不仅仅是视障人士)能够更好地享受电影、展览、博物馆等各类文化活动,从而让每个人都能平等地接触艺术)”可知,胡芳未来希望有更多的无障碍帮扶,助力残障人士平等享受艺术。故选C。 C Army ants are aggressive predators, but what’s even more remarkable about them is their architectural prowess (本领). Isabella Muratore at the New Jersey Institute of Technology has been studying how army ants build bridges by linking their bodies. Commonly found in Central America, South America and Africa, the ants hunt forest floors in long lines. When they encounter an obstacle, like a gap between leaves or branches, they build a bridge, linking themselves together. “The workers will link themselves across that gap, and then other workers will walk on top of them,” Muratore noted. “Basically, they create shortcuts to make things easier for the other ants or just to allow themselves to go through something that they otherwise couldn’t.” Instead of taking a complicated path around an obstacle, the ants shorten their route, allowing them to collect more food. However, building bridges, a demanding task that often requires dozens of ants to work together closely for several hours, comes at a cost to the ant group. The ants that are fully occupied with supporting the bridge become unavailable for hunting. Muratore studied the ants’ decision-making by placing obstacles in their way and filming their movements. She found the ants build bridges where they get the greatest return for the least amount of bodies, realizing that ants only build bridges when the gap is big enough to be worth crossing. She also discovered that the number of bridges can affect how much effort ants invest in each one. The study may provide valuable insights for designing collaborative systems. 8. Why do army ants build bridges when they meet obstacles? A. To expand their hunting range. B. To keep long lines while hunting. C. To avoid going through risky areas. D. To make their hunting more efficient. 9. What is the cost to army ants of building bridges? A. Some can’t participate in hunting. B. Some can’t make decisions alone. C. Some are provided with less food. D. Some are left behind by the group. 10. What did Muratore’s research find about army ants? A. They build bridges regardless of the gap size. B. They build bridges wherever they meet obstacles. C. They invest the same number of ants in each bridge. D. They weigh costs and benefits before bridge-building. 11. Which can be a suitable title for the text? A. Army Ants: Aggressive Predators in the Forest B. Army Ants: Bridge Builder’s with Strategic minds C. Ant Bridge-Building: Insights for Human Activities D. Ant Bridge-Building: A Case of Individual Intelligence 【答案】8. D 9. A 10. D 11. 根据第二段中的““Basically, they create shortcuts to make things easier for the other ants or just to allow themselves to go through something that they otherwise couldn’t.” Instead of taking a complicated path around an obstacle, the ants shorten their route, allowing them to collect more food. 根据第三段中的“However, building bridges, a demanding task that often requires dozens of ants to work together closely for several hours, comes at a cost to the ant group. The ants that are fully occupied with supporting the bridge become unavailable for hunting.(然而,筑桥是一项高难度的工作,往往需要数十只蚂蚁紧密协作数小时,而这会让整个蚁群付出相应的代价。 故选A项。 根据第四段中的“She found the ants build bridges where they get the greatest return for the least amount of bodies, realizing that ants only build bridges when the gap is big enough to be worth crossing.(她发现军蚁会在以最少数量的身体换取最大收益的地方筑桥,且只有当缝隙大到值得跨越时,它们才会筑桥)”可知,穆拉托雷的研究发现,军蚁在筑桥前会权衡成本与收益。 D Dark chocolate, which has more cocoa, is often advertised as healthier and even as a health-booster, which can weaken all kinds of problems, from high blood pressure to depression, while improving mental sharpness. Many studies, often paid for by chocolate manufacturers, suggest this may be true. Regrettably, the best research disproves the idea. Dark chocolate’s claimed benefits are due to compounds called flavanols (黄烷醇), which are particularly abundant in cocoa. In controlled trials, researchers have looked at the health effects of capsules containing flavanols, as well as of consuming flavanol-rich foods such as cocoa products, coffee and berries. Some trials have found beneficial effects, for example on blood pressure. But these trials typically last just a few weeks, so they may not reflect the consequences of sustained consumption. A big trial called COSMOS, set up in 2015 in America, was intended to deal with these shortcomings. It measured the effects of daily cocoa-extract capsules containing 500mg of cocoa flavanols. To get that dose you would need to eat between 50g and 280g of dark chocolate, depending on its flavanol concentration (浓度). Participants, who were in their 60s or older, averaged took the capsules for 3.6 years. The trial found that flavanols did lead to a 27% reduction in deaths from heart disease. But, this positive result is not proof that dark chocolate is heart-healthy. Getting those 500mg of flavanols from it means consuming lots of sugar, which is added richly by manufacturers to counter the bitterness of cocoa. It also means consuming upward half (for men) or 70% (for women) of the recommended daily maximum of fats, which are bad for the heart. If you decide to treat yourself to some chocolate every now and then, don’t worry about finding the darkest variety. Some very dark chocolates contain few flavanols, whereas some milk varieties have lots. A better option for adding cocoa flavanols to your diet may be cocoa powder. All told, though, the healthiest flavanol-boosting strategy is to eat more fruits, vegetables, nuts and beans. Sadly for chocolate, the health claims for dark chocolate come from wishful thinking and tricky marketing, not the findings of science. 12. What is the author’s attitude towards the claimed benefits of dark chocolate? A. Supportive. B. Ambiguous. C. Skeptical. D. Indifferent. 13. What did the COSMOS trial focus on studying? A. The long-term effects of flavanol intake. B. The benefits of flavanols on blood pressure. C. The flavanol content in different chocolates. D. The differences between dark and milk chocolate. 14. What does the underlined word “counter” refer to in paragraph 4? A. Taste. B. Strengthen. C. Replace. D. Reduce. 15. What can we learn about flavanols from the last two paragraphs? A. They are best sourced from cocoa powder. B. They can be obtained from multiple sources. C. Their health statements are from tricky marketing. D. Their concentration is the highest in dark chocolate. C 13. A 14. D 15. 根据第二段“Regrettably, the best research disproves the idea.(遗憾的是,最权威的研究反驳了这一观点)”以及最后一段“Sadly for chocolate, the health claims for dark chocolate come from wishful thinking and tricky marketing, not the findings of science.(对巧克力来说不幸的是,黑巧克力的健康宣称来自一厢情愿的想法和巧妙的营销,而非科学发现)”可知,作者对黑巧克力所宣称的益处持怀疑态度。 根据第二段“Dark chocolate’s claimed benefits are due to compounds called flavanols (黄烷醇), which are particularly abundant in cocoa. In controlled trials, researchers have looked at the health effects of capsules containing flavanols, as well as of consuming flavanol-rich foods such as cocoa products, coffee and berries. Some trials have found beneficial effects, for example on blood pressure. But these trials typically last just a few weeks, so they may not reflect the consequences of sustained consumption.(黑巧克力号称的益处归因于一种名为黄烷醇的化合物,这种化合物在可可中含量尤为丰富。 以及第三段“A big trial called COSMOS, set up in 2015 in America, was intended to deal with these shortcomings.(2015年在美国开展的一项名为COSMOS的大型试验旨在解决这些不足)”可知,COSMOS试验主要聚焦于研究黄烷醇摄入的长期影响。故选A项。 根据第四段“Getting those 500mg of flavanols from it means consuming lots of sugar, which is added richly by manufacturers to counter the bitterness of cocoa.(从黑巧克力中获取500毫克黄烷醇意味着要摄入大量糖分,制造商大量添加糖分是为了____可可的苦味)”可知,添加糖是为了减少可可的苦味,“counter”意思是“减少”。 根据倒数第二段“A better option for adding cocoa flavanols to your diet may be cocoa powder. All told, though, the healthiest flavanol - boosting strategy is to eat more fruits, vegetables, nuts and beans.(在饮食中添加可可黄烷醇的一个更好选择可能是可可粉。 All of us are afraid of something in life, starting a new job or even a trip to the dentist and so on. She worked hard as a supermarket cashier, so she often felt exhausted after standing for a long time. Whenever she went back home, she was always tired. David, who was considerate, would gently rub her shoulders to help her relax. Little Tommy, though naughty in most cases, would often stand quietly beside them, his big eyes fixed on Emily’s tired face thoughtfully, hoping to do something to delight her, too. One afternoon in May, Emily returned from the supermarket as usual, worn-out, carrying groceries through the kitchen door. Awaiting her arrival was David, eager to relate what Tommy had done. His eyes were wide with urgency, “Mommy, hurry! Tommy did something terrible! You have to see?” He was out of breath. Emily’s heart sank. She knew Tommy well. He always made trouble. “While I was out playing and Dad was on a call, Tommy took his crayons and wrote on the wall! It’s on the new wallpaper you just hung in the study. I told him you’d be mad about having to do it again.” David clearly explained. She let out a long sigh and frowned. “Where is your little brother right now?” Emptying her arms, she put down her groceries and walked quickly to the closet, where Tommy had gone to hide. She called his full name as she entered the room. She spoke to him seriously about the expensive wallpaper, explaining how much time and care she’d put into it, and mentioned the extra work it would take to fix it. After that, with a feeling of upset, she walked toward the study and prepared to clean the messy wallpaper. However, she was surprised at the picture Tommy drew. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ What she saw brought tears to her eyes. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 【答案】One possible version: Paragraph 1: However, she was surprised at the picture Tommy drew. The wallpaper was covered with colorful crayon marks, but they were not random scribbles. There was a female figure with a big smile labeled “Mommy”, holding hands with two smaller figures. Beside them were flowers and a little house, with the words “I love Mommy”. Every stroke was clumsy and every line was uneven. But it was clear that the little boy had poured all his care into the picture. Paragraph 2: What she saw brought tears to her eyes. She realized that her sharp words earlier had hurt Tommy. Wiping her tears, she walked to his bedroom. The little boy was sitting on his bed, head down. “Honey,” she said gently, kneeling down to his level, “Mommy is so sorry for yelling at you. This is the most beautiful picture I’ve ever seen. Thank you so much.” Tommy looked up, his eyes wet but bright. “I just wanted you to be happy, Mom.” At that moment, she knew that love doesn’t need to be perfect. It’s the clumsy gestures from a child’s heart that warm the most tiring days. 词汇激活 行为类 ①标注:label/mark ②跪(蹲)下:kneel down/crouch down ③喊叫:yell at/cry out/shout at 情绪类 ①温柔:gently /warmly ②开心:happy/pleased 【点睛】[高分句型1]But it was clear that the little boy had poured all his care into the picture.(运用了it作形式主语、that引导的主语从句) [高分句型2] At that moment, she knew that love doesn’t need to be perfect.(运用了that引导宾语从句作knew的宾语) 第1页/共1页 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $ 遵义市2026届高三年级第二次适应性考试 英语 (满分:150分 时间:120分钟) 注意事项: 1. 1. B Hu Fang is a volunteer in a nonprofit organization dedicated to making films accessible to people with visual disabilities. C Army ants are aggressive predators, but what’s even more remarkable about them is their architectural prowess (本领). 10 What did Muratore’s research find about army ants? Ant Bridge-Building: A Case of Individual Intelligence D Dark chocolate, which has more cocoa, is often advertised as healthier and even as a health-booster, which can weaken all kinds of problems, from high blood pressure to depression, while improving mental sharpness. 12. “Where is your little brother right now?” Emptying her arms she put down her groceries and walked quickly to the closet, where Tommy had gone to hide. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 第1页/共1页 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $
