NSDD = N(Needs 需求)→ S(Solutions 方法)→ D(Difficulties 困难)→ D(Denouement 结局)
Needs(需求)
Difficulties(困难)
Solutions(方法)
(1)续写内容与原文情境的融洽度;
(2)词汇语法的准确性;
其他维度可通过词汇、句式、连接词、各类描写来实现;
紧凑型:情节推进+连接成分(逻辑连词+副词+介词短语);
丰富性:各类描写、词汇、句式;
(1)看各类描写:续写时尽量占比一致;
(2)语法句式:尽量保持一致,也可模仿好句;
典例1(2025年全国一卷)My wife and I wanted to share our new home with family and friends by hosting a small gathering in the early summer. She had prepared lots of snacks, while my job was to have the backyard in order.
There was plenty of space for the kids to run and play. There was just one thing I hadn’t counted on: My brother chose to bring his dog Toby, a 50-pound ball of fire. Though friendly, he could easily knock over my niece’s small boys and my six-month-old granddaughter. So, when my brother showed up, I asked him to watch Toby and keep him outside.
My plan was working out just fine. Toby was using up his energy by running back and forth in the backyard and giving the kids plenty of room. Unexpectedly, after supper, the weather changed. It started to rain and everyone went indoors.
It was an awkward moment. I didn’t want Toby to be running around in the house, and my brother wasn’t happy with driving home with a wet dog. Eventually, my brother decided to leave rather than force the issue.
A few days passed, and I hadn’t heard anything from my brother. I texted him and expressed wishes for him to come out again. His reply came as a surprise — a shock, actually: “Not a chance.” Clearly, he was unhappy over the way we had parted. After all, I had left him little choice. Well, he’ll get over it, I reasoned.
Two months passed. My wife suggested I get in touch with my brother, but I resisted, thinking he should call first. However, my conscience (良心) kept bothering me. I tried to put myself in my brother’s shoes. He was facing health issues and his wife of thirty-five years had passed away a few months earlier. Toby was his constant companion, the one who kept him going.

I met Gunter on a cold, wet and unforgettable evening in September. I had planned to fly to Vienna and take a bus to Prague for a conference. Due to a big storm, my flight had been delayed by an hour and a half. I touched down in Vienna just 30 minutes before the departure of the last bus to Prague. The moment I got off the plane, I ran like crazy through the airport building and jumped into the first taxi on the rank without a second thought.
That was when I met Gunter. I told him where I was going but he said he hadn't heard of the bus station. I thought my pronunciation was the problem, so I explained again more slowly, but he still looked confused. When I was about to give up, Gunter fished out his little phone and rang up a friend. After a heated discussion that lasted for what seemed like a century, Gunter put his phone down and started the car.
Finally, with just two minutes to spare we rolled into the bus station. Thankfully, there was a long queue (队列) still waiting to board the bus. Gunter parked the taxi behind the bus, turned around, and looked at me with a big smile on his face. "We made it," he said.
Just then I realised that I had zero cash in my wallet. I flashed him an apologetic smile as I pulled out my Portuguese bankcard. He tried it several times, but the card machine just did not play along. A feeling of helplessness washed over me as I saw the bus queue thinning out.
At this moment, Gunter pointed towards the waiting hall of the bus station. There, at the entrance, was a cash machine. I jumped out of the car, made a mad run for the machine, and popped my card in, only to read the message: "Out of order. Sorry."

Years ago, my husband lost his job, and worse still, I lost mine too. Struggling to support our two kids, he job hunted tirelessly and I stayed home making the most of every cent. It was hard to stay positive, but we did our best.
One day, I found the milk in the fridge was lukewarm (温热的), but we could not afford to call a repairman. Anxious, I looked for ways to earn money, even a little, maybe to fix the fridge.
Later, I had lunch with a former coworker, who said I’d be good at teaching computer classes. I was good at word processing software but had no teaching experience except in Sunday School. Doubt and fear consumed me. Then I remembered my mom’s words, “Can’t never could until he tried.” So I decided to give it a try.
I wasn’t sure where to start. Finally, I finished a plan. The first thing I did was check on the availability and the cost of a meeting room. After securing a room, I got local business addresses from the Chamber of Commerce, typed them into my computer to make labels, and designed a brochure advertising my class. I folded brochures, stuck on labels and stamps, and mailed them after praying outside the post office. We could barely afford these costs, and I was filled with self-doubt as I waited for responses.
On the third day, I got my first response — a check and two registrations. In two weeks, more checks and registrations came. I had 17 students. I then rented computers, but couldn’t afford delivery. My husband helped me carry and set them up before leaving.
The night before the first-class day, while my family slept, I stayed up late checking my notes. I went over every keystroke, breaking complex steps into simple ones. I practiced my explanations out loud, timing myself to be sure I wouldn’t run over. I prayed my passion would make up for my lack of experience.

The next day, before class, standing alone in the classroom, I panicked. My hands shook as I checked the rented computers again, fearing malfunctions. I kept replaying my practice in mind, worrying about forgetting steps or failing to answer questions. I even thought about giving up for a moment, but my mom’s words echoed in my head and stopped me. When students arrived, their friendliness and eagerness to learn calmed my nerves. I forced a smile, greeted them, took a deep breath, and got ready to start the class.
As the class ended, students’ positive words filled the room. Many thanked me for my clear explanations that simplified complex steps. One student said the class would help with her work, and another promised to recommend me. A few even asked about the time of the next class, which made me more confident. A surge of pride and joy swept over me — I knew my effort paid off. Self-doubt faded, and this small success gave my family a new chance. We could finally afford to fix the fridge and ease our tight budget.

For our long-service leave, my husband and I decided to travel around Tasmania with our camper trailer We were coming all the way across Western Australia to get there — not exactly a “lap of the map”, but still a big trip. We’d packed our bikes, surfboards and our dog.
It was all going beautifully until we got to St Helens in Tasmania. We were looking forward to hitting the bike trails and the beach. But what was meant to be a fun day of mountain biking quickly turned into a stressful, late-night rescue when my husband broke his leg on the trail.
Thanks to the incredible local emergency services, he was located, rescued and airlifted to hospital. As I watched him being flown off the mountain by helicopter, relief flooded through me — and then reality hit. I was now solely responsible for the dog, the vehicle and the camper trailer still set up back at the campsite. Packing up the trailer was a two-person job. My family and friends were 4,000 km away in Western Australia. And my dog needed a walk!
The next day, new neighbours arrived at the campsite. Exhausted and worried, I managed a small smile as a man named Sam said hello and began setting up with his wife. I wondered what they thought — a solo woman with a dog, no partner in sight, and a camper trailer full of gear (齿轮).
Eventually, Sam’s curiosity got the better of him. He asked a few gentle questions and, after two days of silent stress, the whole story poured out.
Sam listened patiently, kindly. He nodded, said little, and returned to his own camp. That evening, he and his wife, Hillary, did something extraordinary. With no hesitation, they told me they’d pack everything up for me. “Tasmania has given us a warm hug, “they said. “Now we want to pass that hug on.”

The next morning, true to their word, they arrived ready to help. And what followed was no small task. My husband, still in a hospital bed, talked us through the process over the phone. It was complex and physically demanding. Piece by piece, with calm and methodical care, Sam worked it all out, while Hillary offered encouragement, guidance and good humour. After two hours, the camper was ready to go. It would have taken me days on my own and, even then, I’m not sure I could have done it.
But their kindness didn’t stop there. They invited me to join them for dinner and a seat at their campfire, sharing their food, their warmth and their company. I hadn’t realized how much I needed that simple kindness. It felt like the first deep breath I’d taken in days. I will never forget that holiday. Not just because of the accident, or the brilliance of the emergency services, but because of Sam and Hillary. They gave me a warm Tasmanian hug — just when I needed it most.

What is your name? ” is a question most frequently asked when people meet for the first time. But for me, it was the first challenge I encountered as an international student in Ireland.
The pronunciation system of the Chinese language is quite different from that of English. For native speakers of English, some Chinese words are rather difficult to pronounce. My given name Qiuyu (秋雨), for instance, happened to be a great challenge for many of them. Every time I gave a self-introduction, I had to explain how to pronounce my name at least five times, yet they still could not say it the way I did.
Once in a lecture, the professor tried repeating my name after me over and over in front of thirty classmates. I really did not know whether I should continue correcting him or simply drop the matter. I feared that my classmates might grow tired of my efforts or even lose patience with me. After all, I did care about how others would think of me. I realized that if I didn’t stop, the entire lecture would be ruined. “It’s okay, professor,” I shrugged (耸肩). The awkward moment ended with the class erupting into laughter. I forced a smile, unsure how to respond further.
After that incident, I stopped acting as a “Chinese teacher.” Instead of correcting others when they were struggling to pronounce my name, I just smiled and nodded approvingly. This approach spared me the discomfort of having to over-explain. However, I soon found that by doing so, I might be losing something more important: the opportunity to share a small part of my cultural identity.

It was 1 a.m. on Christmas morning, but for Marissa Cathy, it was still Christmas Eve. Like many parents, she was trying to create holiday magic.
For months, her 6-year-old daughter Aubrey had only wanted one Christmas gift: a real piano keyboard, not a cheap toy version. Now that Aubrey was asleep, Cathy pulled the box from its hidden place, ready to assemble (组装) the 61-key keyboard — perfect for a beginner like Aubrey. Cathy had planned to set it up so Aubrey could play it right away when she woke up to the surprise. But when she opened the box, there was only the stand and bench — no keyboard. She realized what she hadn’t noticed earlier — the keyboard was sold separately. The panic set in.
Cathy recalled the joy she felt when she received her first guitar at Aubrey’s age. How disappointed would Aubrey be if she came downstairs and saw only a bench and a stand with no keyboard. Would she doubt the existence of Santa Claus?
There had to be a way to fix this, she thought. Maybe an online seller could deliver a keyboard by morning. Or she could sneak out (偷偷溜出去) to a store that was still open. She checked both options, but there was no hope. Now desperate, Cathy posted in a local social media group. “I’m about to cry,” she explained the situation. “I’m so upset, this is going to ruin her Christmas.”
Andy Harry, who lives five miles from Cathy, was about to go to bed around 2 a. m. when he saw her plea (恳求). “Any parent would panic,” he thought. “I didn’t want anyone who believes in Christmas magic to be disappointed.”
He thought about the keyboard he had bought for his daughter Hayley two years earlier. They still had it, and honestly, Hayley barely played it. Harry got out of bed and went to check if Hayley was awake. Finding her still up, Harry explained the situation and asked if they could give the keyboard to Cathy. When Hayley knew what had happened, she was happy to help without any hesitation.

They took out the keyboard and contacted Cathy. The well-preserved keyboard, ideal for a beginner like Aubrey, was carefully packed and placed on the backseat. Then Harry drove through the quiet Christmas morning towards Cathy’s home, with Hayley together, to answer Cathy’s desperate plea. Cathy, still fighting the panic that the mistake would ruin her daughter’s holiday, waited anxiously at her doorway. When Harry handed her the keyboard, tears of relief fell down her face. She was grateful to them for the surprise offer. Their kindness restored her faith in holiday magic. When Cathy finished putting all the pieces together, she smiled with relief. The 61-key keyboard matched the stand and bench perfectly, glowing softly in the Christmas sunlight. She stepped back, imagining Aubrey’s excitement at the long-awaited surprise. As dawn broke, Aubrey went downstairs, her eyes widening with surprise at the real keyboard. She sat on the bench, traced the keys gently, and then began to play with delight. Joyful music filled the room. As Cathy hugged her daughter tightly, she realized that holiday magic wasn’t just about gifts, but about the warmth of strangers trying to save a child’s happiness at Christmas.

变式2【2026届高三第一学期质量检测(一模)】When Shanna, my now 19-year-old daughter, was in Grade 3, her teacher, Mrs. Mathews, gave each of her students a small pot with a bean seed to plant. Green beans are tough and perfect for teaching kids how to grow things. But that little plant ended up teaching me an important lesson, too.
After the beans sprouted and flowered at school, the children were allowed to take them home. Shanna tried to find the perfect location and placed it on a sunny south window sill (窗台)and then proudly declared, “Soon I can feed the whole family!”
Her two sisters were a little jealous, and even our cat seemed interested — which should have been a warning because when I woke up the next morning, I saw that the bean plant had been knocked off the window sill. Its leaves were torn, and the stem was barely attached to the roots. It looked completely destroyed.
I was nervous about telling Shanna, but when I gently said we might have to throw the plant away, her reaction was not what I expected. “It’s going to be okay, Mom,” she said, with believing eyes and a heart full of hope. “The plant will get better!”
Without hesitation, she ran to the bathroom to get the first-aid kit, returning with gauze (纱布), a tongue depressor, bandages, and a deep belief that this almost-dead plant could survive and even grow beans. I wasn’t so sure, but I went along with it. Together, we wrapped the broken stem carefully.
A few days later, to my surprise, the plant was standing tall again, and the one bean on it had grown bigger!

___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
I should have known the cat might try again — and it did. Early the next morning, we found the bean plant lying on the floor once more, its bandages loose and a new stem broken. This time, I felt discouraged, but Shanna’s resolve only grew stronger. “We just need to try harder,” she said firmly. She gently cleaned the plant, re-wrapped the stems with fresh gauze, and even moved it to a high shelf out of the cat’s reach. Every day, she watered it carefully and talked to it softly, never losing hope. Gradually, the plant not only survived but also grew two more beans, much to our delight.
At dinner table, the beans were carefully divided, each one two pieces. There were only four beans in total, but Shanna handed out each piece with great pride. “This is from our brave plant,” she told everyone. As we tasted the tiny, tender beans, Shanna shared how the plant taught her to never give up, even when things seem hopeless. I looked at my daughter, filled with admiration. That little bean plant didn’t just grow beans; it nurtured a heart full of perseverance and kindness in Shanna — a lesson I’ll never forget.

NSDD = N(Needs 需求)→ S(Solutions 方法)→ D(Difficulties 困难)→ D(Denouement 结局)
Needs(需求)
Difficulties(困难)
Solutions(方法)

(2)词汇语法的准确性;
其他维度可通过词汇、句式、连接词、各类描写来实现;
紧凑型:情节推进+连接成分(逻辑连词+副词+介词短语);
丰富性:各类描写、词汇、句式;
(1)看各类描写:续写时尽量占比一致;
(2)语法句式:尽量保持一致,也可模仿好句;
