Step 1 Leading in
Greet students and review the key words and phrases about animals.
Step 2 Work on A
1.Listen to the conversation between Suzy and Mr Wu.Ask students to complete the notes below.
2.Play the recording again and ask students to check their answers.Explain the new words and phrases.
Step 3 Work on B
1.Ask students to read the article.Then ask them to answer the questions below.
2.Check the answers together.
Step 4 Work on C
1.Ask students to read the conversation.Explain the important points.
2.Divide the students into pairs and ask them to make their own conversations.
3.Invite several pairs of students to act out their conversations.Give them praise and correct mistakes.
Step 5 Work on D
1.Work on D1
(1)Ask students to think about an animal friend they have or would like to have and complete the fact file about it.
(2)Ask some students to share their fact files with the class.
2.Work on D2
(1)Read Suzy’s article aloud to the students and ask them to listen carefully.
(2)Ask them to read the article again and underline the useful expressions and sentence structures.
3.Work on D3
(1)Ask students to write an article about an animal friend based on their information in D1 and using Suzy’s article as a model.
(2)Select a few excellent articles to share with the whole class and give praise and encouragement.
◇教学反思◇
通过本节课的整合训练,学生能够较好地运用所学知识进行听说读写活动,但在写作过程中,部分学生的文章在描述动物特点和情感联系时不够深入。在今后的教学中,应加强写作指导;同时,鼓励学生观察身边的动物,增加对动物的了解,以便更好地进行写作创作。
