Step 1 Leading in
Greet the class and review the story of Charlie and his family from the previous reading class.
Step 2 Work on Activity 5
1.Write the sentences from the reading passage on the blackboard and ask students to observe the verb forms.
2.Guide students to summarise the grammar rules of the simple past tense,including the formation of regular and irregular verbs in the past tense.
3.Ask students to find more sentences with the simple past tense in the reading passage and underline the verbs.
Step 3 Work on Activity 6
1.Present the sentences in Activity 6 and ask students to complete them with the correct form of the verbs in brackets,paying attention to the context and time expressions.
2.Check the answers and explain the reasons for the correct verb forms,especially for the irregular verbs.
Step 4 Work on Activity 7
1.Ask students to read the post and complete it with the correct form of the verbs in brackets,applying the grammar knowledge they just learnt.
2.Have students read the completed post aloud and check for any errors or misunderstandings.
Step 5 Work on Activity 8
1.Pair the students and ask them to talk about their own experiences in the past.
2.Provide some example questions to help students organise their ideas,like “When did it happen?What did you do?How did you feel?What I learn from it?”
3.Invite several pairs of students to share their conversations with the class and give positive feedback and corrections.
◇教学反思◇
学生对一般过去时的基本结构有了一定的了解,但在实际运用中,仍存在较多错误,尤其是不规则动词的过去式。部分学生在选择动词形式时,容易忽略时间状语的提示。在小组活动中,学生能够积极参与,但表达的准确性和流畅性有待提高。今后需增加更多的练习和语境创设,加强对不规则动词的专项训练,同时鼓励学生在日常交流中多运用所学语法知识。
