Astronaut Frank Rubiales made headlines by spending 371 days in space, far beyond his scheduled 180 days, due to a technical setback. This unexpected __1__ turned into a golden opportunity for researchers to explore the effects of longterm space travel on the human body. Space exploration poses unique __2__ to both physical and mental wellbeing.
The __3__ of gravity in space can cause astronauts to lose muscle and bone strength. To __4__ this, they must exercise for 150 minutes every week. Additionally, space travelers' eyes can be __5__ by the way that fluids act in the zerogravity environment. Beyond Earth's __6__ layer, astronauts face greater exposure to solar radiation, __7__ the risk of serious health issues, including cancer.
