In early January 2026, a warm video asking for help from Hechuan(合川), Chongqing, got people’s attention across the country. An internet user called “Daidai” needed help to kill her family’s year-end pig. She said she would treat people to a traditional Pao Zhu Tang meal in return. The video soon got more than 180,000 likes and was shared 140,000 times. Thousands of people from all over China went to her village on their own.
Pao Zhu Tang is an old custom with hundreds of years of history in Southwest China’s countryside. It is more than just a meal—it is an important part of the community. In the past, neighbors would get together to help kill the pig. The family would thank them with a big feast made from the fresh pork. This shows the spirit of helping each other and celebrating together. The video became so popular because many city people miss the real “Nianwei” (the special warmth and feeling of the Lunar New Year). Today, people’s lives are full of digital screens. This traditional gathering lets people feel close to each other and find comfort in their culture.
Local officials noticed this and made good use of the opportunity. They made sure everything went smoothly, added shows of intangible cultural heritage to the event, and set up the “Pao Zhu Tang Folk Culture Festival” officially. This smart move turned a short internet trend into a long-lasting way to develop cultural tourism.
In the end, this event shows that digital platforms can give new life to old customs. It connects city and countryside in China, helps rural areas develop, and proves that living traditions—when used in a new way—are still important and lively in today’s society.

Greenland, the world’s biggest island, is in the northeast of North America. It lies between the Arctic and Atlantic Oceans. It is a self-governing area of Denmark. Although its name means “green land”, more than 84% of its large area (2.166 million square kilometers) is covered by a thick layer of ice. But this icy land has a special beauty that draws people from all over the world.
The climate here is usually cold, because most of the island is inside the Arctic Circle. Winters are long and very cold. In some inland places, temperatures can drop to nearly -70°C. Summers are short and cool, but the southern coast gets a little warmer, with small areas of green grass appearing. The polar day and polar night are special: in the far north, there is sunlight all day for months in summer, while winter is filled with long darkness.
Greenland is a great place for wild animals. Polar bears walk on the ice, reindeer move around in the valleys, and rare Arctic birds fly in the sky. The island also has lots of natural resources, such as oil, rare earth minerals and cryolite. For thousands of years, the Inuit people(因纽特人) have lived here. They make a living by fishing and hunting. Their rich cultural traditions, like drum dances and songs, have been passed on from one generation to the next.
Besides its natural beauty and resources, Greenland is very important in strategy. Its position makes it key to watching Arctic shipping routes. These routes are becoming easier to use as sea ice melts. It also plays an important part in scientific research, especially in studies about climate change and the Arctic ecosystem.
Today, Greenland has become a popular place for brave travelers. Visitors can explore wonderful glaciers, go dog-sledding, or visit small Inuit villages to experience local life. Famous places to visit include the Northeast Greenland National Park (one of the world’s largest) and the Ilulissat Icefjord, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Greenland is more than just an icy island—it’s a land of natural wonders and rich culture. It reminds us of both the beauty of nature and the importance of protecting our planet.

The Rise of Physical AI
At the 2026 CES(国际消费电子展), a human-like robot uses touch sensors to make ice cream. This scene shows the rise of Physical AI — an important new trend in artificial intelligence (AI).
Unlike traditional AI, which deals with digital information, Physical AI lets machines understand and interact with the real world. It helps them learn ideas like gravity and how one thing causes another. We can use it in many ways: warehouse(仓库) robots moving through messy places, self-driving cars dealing with sudden weather changes, and home robots holding fragile things. This connects digital intelligence with real-world actions.
Technology leaders are pushing this change forward. NVIDIA makes AI models for self-driving cars, while Qualcomm (量子)produces processors for advanced robots. Chinese companies are also important in this field. They have much experience in smart home devices and human-like robots. These technology solutions help machines learn faster in computer simulations and work more on their own in real life.
Physical AI is changing many fields. In healthcare, robot doctors can do careful operations. In manufacturing, smart robots make assembly lines (流水线)work better. Our daily life is also changing with self-driving taxis and smart home helpers. They help people get rid of boring and daily housework.
There are still some problems. Good training data costs a lot, and skills learned in simulations do not always work in real life. People also worry about its influence on jobs. However, experts like NVIDIA's CEO Jensen Huang think robots will create new jobs and help solve the global shortage of workers.
As Physical AI develops, it is changing how we live and work. It turns science fiction into real life and will surely change our world.

A paralyzed(瘫痪的) patient can tell a robot dog to get a package just by thinking. A researcher can fly a drone without using their hands. A gamer can move a virtual character with only their thoughts. These are not scenes from sci-fi movies. They are real uses of brain-computer interface (BCI (BCI脑机接口) technology. BCIs are not just a small, special tool for hospitals. They are becoming a powerful tool that changes many fields, such as health care, space travel and entertainment.
How Does a BCI Work?
At its core, a BCI creates a direct communication link between the brain and an external device. It does not need the body’s usual nerves or muscles. When we think, our brains make very weak electrical signals. A BCI system can catch these signals in two ways: either with small devices put inside the body, or with a wearable EEG cap Then, it uses AI programs to turn these signals into commands for a computer or machine.
There are two main types of BCIs:
Invasive (侵入式)BCIs: They work very well, but they need an operation. They also have some risks, like getting an infection.
Non-invasive BCIs: They are safer and easier to use. It is said that about 88% of BCI companies in China focus on this kind.
China at the Forefront
China’s BCI industry is growing very fast. More than 200 local companies are working on it. In top hospitals, new and important tests are helping paralyzed patients send messages or move a robot arm with their thoughts.
BCIs are not only used in medicine. They are also used in planes—to control the plane’s room without hands—and in smart factories—to help people and robots work together more easily. What’s more, some Chinese provinces now pay for some BCI treatments with basic health insurance. This makes the treatments easier for patients to get.
A Thought-Controlled Future
The global BCI market will grow a lot in the future. New progress in materials and AI decoding is opening up new possibilities. These include treating sadness, controlling smart homes and even making people’s thinking skills better. Many of these uses are already being tested.
Of course, there are still some problems to solve. For example, we need to make BCI tools smaller, make sure they are safe for long-term use, and make good rules for their use. Even so, BCIs are ready to change how we live and interact with the world—one thought at a time.
1.What can we know about BCI technology from the first paragraph?

“Love You, Old Self” — this simple sentence has become a warm thing and a popular phrase among young people in China. When they post photos of home-cooked food or morning coffee with this words, they turn small daily things into a shared way of being kind to themselves. People say it is one of the kindest trends, and it touches many people deeply.
It is more than just a saying. It makes the unclear idea of taking care of oneself become real. It gives comfort when people feel stressed and celebrates small happy moments. The key is to call oneself “Old Self” — a friendly name that lets people step back and talk to themselves kindly, just as they would to a close friend.
This trend is popular for a reason. Today’s young people face a lot of pressure, such as non-stop exams and strong competition for university places and jobs. For example, a high school student in Beijing writes “Love You, Old Self” in her notebook to calm down after a hard exam. In such situations, being gently kind to oneself has become an important way to deal with pressure.
Importantly, this is not an excuse to avoid difficulties. Instead, it helps people build more courage to get through hard times. To say “Love You, Old Self” means to recognize one’s own efforts, to allow oneself to rest when needed, and thus find a healthy balance. It is a cheap but useful way to keep emotions stable. It also changes where strength comes from — from others’ praise to believing in oneself.
In the end, by being kind to themselves, young people are better able to deal with outside pressure. This gentle and steady power helps them find inner peace and shows a true fact: to really care for others, you must first be kind to yourself.
1. According to the passage, how does “Love You, Old Self” help young people?
A. It helps them win more competitions.
B. It helps them make good friends.
C. It helps them deal with pressure and find balance.
D. It helps them get into a good university.
2.What can we know about self-care from the passage?
A. Self-care is an expensive way to relax and reduce stress
B. Self-care means avoiding all the difficulties in daily life
C. Self-care helps young people find inner peace and face pressure better
D. Self-care only needs to be done when people get good exam results
3. Which of the following is NOT a reason why the trend is popular?
A. Young people face a lot of pressure.
B. It is a way to avoid difficulties.
C. It helps young people find inner peace.
D. It gives young people a way to care for themselves.
4.Which of the following sentences is right?
A. The phrase “Love You, Old Self” can help them make more new friends.
B. The phrase shows they are old enough to take care of themselves
C. The trend of “Love You, Old Self” makes the idea of self-care become real
D. The phrase makes young people become lazy and not want to face hard times
5. What is the main idea of the passage?
A. How to take good care of oneself.
B. The importance of being kind to oneself.
C. The pressure that Chinese young people face.
D. The popularity and benefits of the phrase “Love You, Old Self”.

A. It is only used in sci-fi movies.
B. It is only a special tool for hospitals.
C. It cannot be used in entertainment.
D. It allows people to control things with their thoughts.
2.Why do most Chinese BCI companies focus on non-invasive BCIs?
A. They work better than invasive BCIs.
B. They need an operation but are safe.
C. They are safer and more convenient to use.
D. They are covered by basic health insurance.
3.What can we learn about the future of BCI technology?

1.as 2.was invented 3.an 4.Surprisingly 5.to have 6.its 7.meaning 8.when 9. But 10.which/that/\
Buddha Jumps Over the Wall”。 故填 as。
2.was invented 语法题。
故填 an。
5.to have 非谓语动词题。 故填 to have。
故填 its。
故填 when。
故填 But。
10.which/that/ 不填 定语从句题。 故填 which/that/ 不填。
