连词( but/so/and/however )的逻辑用法
介词( in/on/at/with )的固定搭配
代词( it/that/one/they )的指代辨析
介词搭配(in/ on/ at/ with)、连词逻辑(and/ but/ so/ because)、代词指代(it/ that/ one/ they)、基础时态(一般过去时/现在完成时)。
One afternoon, Tom was walking ______ the street when he saw a little girl crying. He went up to her and asked what was wrong.
选项:A. across B. through C. along D. over
walk along the street 是固定搭配,意为“沿着街道走”; across 强调“从表面穿过”(如 walk across the road); through 强调“从内部穿过”(如 walk through the forest); over 强调“越过障碍物”。
动词短语(take part in/ look forward to/ give up)、介词短语(in fact/ at first/ on time)、形容词短语(be afraid of/ be interested in)。
When the teacher asked her to join the English club, she didn’t want to ______ the chance. She believed it could improve her English.
选项:A. give up B. give out C. give in D. give away
give up 意为“放弃”; give out 意为“分发”; give in 意为“屈服”; give away 意为“赠送”。
Li Mei was very ______ when she heard she won the English speech contest. She jumped up and down happily.
选项:A. angry B. excited C. sad D. bored
后文的“jumped up and down happily”(高兴地跳来跳去)是关键线索,说明李梅的心情是“兴奋的”;A“生气的”、C“难过的”、D“无聊的”均与语境相反,选B。
My grandfather is a ______ man. He always helps people in need without asking for anything in return.
选项:A. selfish B. generous C. selfish D. serious
Jim wanted to join the basketball team, but he was not tall enough. ______, he didn’t give up. He practiced playing basketball every day after school. Finally, he made it.
选项:A. So B. However C. Because D. And

选项:A. across B. through C. along D. over
动词短语(take part in/ look forward to/ give up)、介词短语(in fact/ at first/ on time)、形容词短语(be afraid of/ be interested in)。
When the teacher asked her to join the English club, she didn’t want to ______ the chance. She believed it could improve her English.
选项:A. give up B. give out C. give in D. give away
Li Mei was very ______ when she heard she won the English speech contest. She jumped up and down happily.
选项:A. angry B. excited C. sad D. bored
选项:A. So B. However C. Because D. And
