Ⅰ.阅读理解 A (2025·苏州高二检测)Aircraft are some of the most complex vehicles out there, which need a great energy supply. If you tried to design an airplane supported by today’s batteries, you would have to take out all the passengers and goods and fill that space with batteries just to fly for under an hour. Jet fuel can hold about 50 times more energy compared to batteries per unit mass. To close that gap, we need to make batteries lighter in the future. New batteries are being developed, but they aren’t yet ready for providing any aircraft with energy independently. However, we can get some benefits by using hybrid propulsion systems (混合驱动系统). Hybrid aircraft use a combination of batteries and jet fuel. Using batteries as a power assist during take-off and climb is a very promising option. Taxiing (滑行) to the runway by using just electric power could also save a significant amount of jet fuel. There is a sweet spot between how much electricity used from the battery and how much jet fuel used for the maximum benefits. How to get there is at the center of my research. Besides hybrid propulsion systems, we can dig deep into jet fuel. The first option is that fuels can be made from corn, oilseeds and other fats. But the supply is limited, and using more biomass for fuel could compete with food production and lead to deforestation. A second option is using synthetic (合成的) sustainable jet fuel, which involves capturing carbon from the air or other industrial processes and combining it with hydrogen. The only emission is water. But that’s a complex and costly process and does not have a high production scale yet. By 2050, we could see three to five times more carbon dioxide emissions from aircraft than before 2020. The International Civil Aviation Organization’s long-term goal is to cut net carbon dioxide emissions by 50% by 2050 compared with the level in 2005. I think we should raise our expectations about the goal in 2050 because technological progress is faster than the growth of demand. 1.What does the author want to tell us in paragraph 1?( ) A.The complexity of aircraft transportation. B.The difficulty in fully electrifying aircraft. C.The difference between fuels and batteries. D.The feature of new batteries in the future. 2.What is the focus of the author’s research?( ) A.Improving the safety of airplanes during the taxiing process. B.Designing a hybrid propulsion system to help airplanes take off. C.Calculating how much energy is used in different processes of flight. D.Finding the right consumption proportion of electricity to fuel during flights. 3.What do we know about the two options mentioned by the author?( ) A.The first option is more expensive. B.The first option needs more research. C.The second option is more environmentally friendly. D.The second option consumes more agriculture resources. 4.What is the author’s attitude towards the long-term goal?( ) A.Positive. B.Doubtful. C.Uncaring. D.Unclear. B The AI project intends to use artificial intelligence to create an innovative (创新的) theatrical performance, which is expected to premiere (首演) early next year. Head of the research team Rudolf Rosa said, “The main idea behind our study came from Tom􀅡š Studeník, an innovator who noticed the centenary (一百周年纪念) of the play RUR is approaching. This was a key moment for robotics, as the idea of a robot, including the word ‘robot’ itself, was invented by Karel Capek and his brother Josef wrote this play.” “Tom􀅡š believed this should be properly celebrated and formulated the idea of turning the story around: 100 years ago, a man wrote a play about robots; what if today, robots wrote a theatre play about men?” While there are now numerous papers focusing on machine-produced art, including some where computational techniques were used to produce dialogues or story ideas for plays, the automatic generation of an entire theatrical performance is an extremely complex task never-before attempted. Rosa’s team decided to split the production of their play into several sub-parts.Although other research teams have used this approach to generate dialogues, few have attempted to produce an entire play.Dr Rosa said, “Thanks to the approaching anniversary, our main target is clear and fixed: by January next year, we need to have a play ready for premiere. As it will be performed by a professional theatre group, we need to have the script ready in September so that there is enough time for rehearsals (彩排).” The researchers started experimenting with pre-trained language model called GPT-2.Once adequately trained, GPT-2 is able to complete unfinished texts using similar language and covering related themes. For example, if GPT-2 is fed the first paragraph of a news article, the model will try to continue to write a few additional paragraphs on the same topic, using the existing text for inspiration, while generating sentences about new concepts. 5.How did Rosa’s team plan to do the project?( ) A.By cooperating with other research teams. B.By dividing their work into a few small sections. C.By exploring the possibility of creating dialogues using AI techniques. D.By staging an entire play directly performed by professional theatre group. 6.What can be learned from the text?( ) A.The play will be on show in September. B.GPT-2 can perform an entire play with ease. C.Machines are still not smart enough to create art. D.AI techniques have been applied to create dialogues for plays. 7.Which of the following is TRUE according to the text?( ) A.GPT-2 can practice continuation writing. B.The play RUR was written by Karel Capek. C.The idea of a robot was born half a century ago. D.The word “robot” was coined by Tom􀅡š Studeník. 8.What may be the best title for the text?( ) A.“Robotre” Staged Successfully B.“Mechatre” Trained Inadequately C.“Mantre” Story Completed by Humans D.“AItre” Play Written Entirely by Machines Ⅱ.阅读七选五 (2025·晋城高二期中) How to Be Hopeful About the Future It can be tough to believe that good things are coming your way when your hopes and dreams haven’t yet been realized.
