2. proud & pride

3. treat& cure; treat 小结

Modern medicine is developing so quickly that we can treat and cure most eye problems.

(1) treat v.在此处意为“治疗”。

   She wanted to send for a doctor to treat her leg.

(2) cure v. 意为“治愈（疾病）”。

   The medicine can cure your headache.

(3) treat …… as ……表示“把……看做……”。

   They treat the old man as one of their family members.

treat的名词形式为treatment，意为“治疗”

(4）trick or treat 不招待就使坏（Halloween万圣节） treat “招待”

(5) give sb. sth. as a treat 给某人某物作为招待
