At the Badaling Great Wall in Beijing, getting food and water used to require a 50-minute walk. But now, people can place orders on the phone, and drones will bring them over in a few minutes. The drones can also take away garbage from tourists on their return journeys.
By June over 1.87 million drones had received permission (许可) to work, reported China Daily. The demand for drone pilots is rising. However, only about 225 thousand people have the necessary licenses (执照) to fly them. This creates a shortage of almost 1 million licensed drone pilots in the country.
Since drones have been used in many areas, like farming, video filming and environmental protection, drone pilots can also work in different industries. The pay is good too. Some pilots are paid around 30 thousand yuan per month, reported China Daily.
That is why more people are training to get drone licenses. At Xiaoxiang Yongxiang, a business offering such training in Hunan province, about 500 people have graduated (毕业) so far this year. Before, there were only about 200 each year.
To get a drone-flying license for distances under 500 meters, people need to take 44 hours of training. For longer distances, 56 hours are required. “I believe drones are the future,” said Dong Jiamin, head of Xiaoxiang Yongxiang.
The excitement around drones is connected to the development of the low-altitude economy (低空经济), which is about activities happening in the airspace below 3 thousand meters. China’s Largest Desert gets a Green Belt
The Taklimakan Desert is China’s largest desert. It covers an area of 337,600 square kilometers. Strong winds often blow across this land. They take large amounts of sand with them. This makes the desert a big source of sandstorms.
Efforts began in 1978 to plant trees to stop the sand. One of the early pioneers, Dr. Liu Wei, an environmental scientist, led a team into that hard environment. Their task was to protect and bring new life to some areas of the desert. They had to face the burning sun, the sandstorms and the shortage of water there. They worked really hard, kept trying all the time, and came up with many new ideas.
Also, many people didn’t believe they could succeed. But they didn’t give up. Little by little, some green oases (绿洲) showed up. Now, 46 years later, this green belt is complete. On November 28, the last batch (批) of trees was planted in Yutian County. And the oases are really helpful for the wild animals, giving them better places to live. The green belt greatly benefits (使受益) local people. It is helpful for farming and good for the environment.

At the Badaling Great Wall in Beijing, getting food and water used to require a 50-minute walk. But now, people can place orders on the phone, and drones will bring them over in a few minutes. The drones can also take away garbage from tourists on their return journeys.
By June, over 1.87 million drones had received permission (许可) to work, reported China Daily.
By 2030, this part of the economy could reach 2 thousand billion yuan in China. Other industries, such as AI and green energy, are also expected to grow with it.

【答案】例文:
Dear Sir/Madam,
I would like to join SAPA. First, let me introduce myself. I am a kind and patient person who loves small animals. I have a pet dog at home and take good care of him daily. This experience makes me understand that animals are our friends and need our protection. That’s the main reason I want to join SAPA.
If I am lucky enough to be a member, I will do my best for our association. I can help care for stray animals and organize activities to encourage more students to join us. I will also share knowledge about animal protection.
I look forward to your reply.
Yours,
Li Hua
