Section Ⅱ Using language [对应学生用书P36] 一、构成 1.肯定结构:had+been+过去分词 2.否定结构:hadn't+been+过去分词 二、用法 过去完成时的被动语态表示动作在过去某一时间或某一动作之前已经发生或完成,且主语与谓语动词之间是动宾关系。 ◆Though he had been told my telephone number many times,he still couldn't remember it. 虽然已经告诉他我的电话号码很多次了,但他还是记不住。 ◆The newspaper reported more than 1,000 people had been killed in the hurricane. 这家报纸报道说一千多人在这次飓风中丧生了。 [即时演练1]——单句语法填空 (1)He asked if Mary had been sent (send) to hospital before her parents came back. (2)His village had been flooded(flood) in the heavy rain,so he moved to his parents' house. (3)I was sent to the village last month to see how the development plan had been carried(carry) out in the past two years. 三、特殊句式 1.用于“It was the first/second...time that+主语+had been done+其他”句型中。 ◆It was the first time that the meeting had been held in Beijing. 那是该会议第一次在北京召开。 2.在虚拟条件句中,条件从句表示对过去情况的假设时:if+主语+had been done+其他 ◆If I had been invited earlier,I would have gone there. 如果早点儿邀请我的话,我就去那儿了。 [即时演练2]——单句语法填空 (1) It was the third time that he had been invited (invite) to pay a visit to the school. (2)If the new safety system had been put(put) to use,the accident would never have happened. 四、过去完成时的被动语态与现在完成时的被动语态的区别 现在完成时的被动语态表示相对于现在来说已被完成的动作,过去完成时的被动语态表示相对于过去某一时刻来说已被完成的动作。 This polluted river has been cleaned. 这条被污染了的河流已被净化。(该句表示到现在为止这条河流已被净化) He said this book had been translated into Japanese. 他说这本书已被译成日语。(该句表示到他说话时所体现的时间为止这本书已被译成日语) [即时演练3]——单句语法填空 (1)Many words have been added(add) to this edition of the dictionary.
