三、阅读理解(本题共20小题;每小题2分,满分40分)
第一节 请认真阅读下列短文,从短文后各题所给的A、B、C、D四个选项中,选出最佳选项,并在答题卡上将该项涂黑。
A
Cell phone use has become more and more common among high school students, but a clear decision hasn’t yet been reached on their proper use in schools.
Cell phones, supporters say, are useful to both parents and students. In addition, cell phones can be lifesavers in an emergency, providing police with important and timely information. Some teachers also point out that cell phones are useful educational tools. Older students can conduct phone interviews during class time with teacher supervision(管理),for example. Also, many cell phones now have internet capability, built-in calculators, and memories able to hold entire books. For schools with limited technologies available to students, cell phones can be used as computers.
But some argue that the disadvantages outweigh the benefits. The primary concern is that cell phones take students’ attention away from their study. Even though most schools require that phones be turned off during school hours, such a rule is difficult to follow; for example, students who leave class for a bathroom break could use the phone while out of the room. Should a phone ring in class, the entire classroom is disturbed and teachers report that many students will answer the call. Cheating and improper photos are also concerns related to cell phones. Teachers have caught high school students taking pictures of tests to pass along to students in later classes, for example, or accessing(存取) photos of textbook pages or notes during tests. Many school systems have banned camera phones while still allowing traditional cell phones.
Cell phone has become a necessary part of society. But keeping up with technological advances is not easy. Schools need guidelines to govern improper cell phone use. Teachers should post school and classroom policies regarding cell phones, and the class should discuss these policies at the beginning of the school year.
26.What is the main reason given by people against students’ use of cell phones?
A.Cell phones make noises in classroom B.Cell phones are used to take improper photos.
C.Students cannot focus on their study. D.Students use cell phones to cheat during tests.
27.By saying the underlined sentence in the last paragraph, what does the author mean?
A.It’s not easy to keep up with modern technological developments.
B.Cell phone technology has improved rapidly in the past few years.
C.Cell phones have more functions because of technological advances.
D.It’s not easy to prevent improper cell phone use among students.
28.The author holds the idea that ________.
A.students should use cell phones properly
B.students should be forbidden to use cell phones
C.it is impossible to make a cell phone use policy
D.it is foolish to limit students’ use of cell phones
【答案】26.C 27.D 28.A
【难度】0.65
【知识点】议论文、青少年问题

Starting from the new term, students in primary and middle schools will have at least one lesson every week to learn basic household skills such as cleaning and cooking.
The Ministry of Education recently set up a new curriculum (课程) standard for labor education in compulsory education. The standard has three types of tasks: everyday chores, including cleaning, organizing, cooking, etc; different and helpful labor, including agriculture and making traditional handicrafts; and service, including volunteer work.
Primary school students in first and second grades need to do basic cleaning, wash vegetables and peel fruit, and learn to raise one or two kinds of plants or small animals. Third and fourth graders should clean their classrooms, wash their socks and shoes, and know how to make cold dishes. Fifth and sixth graders should have the skills of cooking two or three common dishes.
For middle school students, they are encouraged to cook three or four dishes by themselves, learn how to make one or two kinds of traditional handicrafts, and experience new technologies, modern service or volunteer work.
Schools should use different ways to help parents realize the importance of labor education and help them make household lists to improve students’ abilities.
The curriculum has been widely discussed on social media and became the top topic on the Internet. Many people think it is necessary to teach young students basic skills. Some have regretted not learning such skills during their school days. “It’s a waste of time,” I said when my mom told me to join Madcaps, a mothers and daughters club that helps charities. When she told me, I had to volunteer at a homeless shelter (收容所), I thought that things could not get worse.
We got there late and walked to the dirty homeless shelter, where we saw a lady shouting at the security guard (保安). He dealt with her and then led us to the kitchen, where we ran into five mothers and daughters from Madcaps.
Then homeless people started to walk in and a little girl, around 5 years old, walked up and pointed to the food I was handing out. I handed her a cold sandwich and she nodded to say thanks. She then walked over to her parents, who were seated at a large table.
As the little girl walked away, I thought about how much I had. I go to one of the top schools in San Diego, I have a great house by the water, and I have a warm meal every night. Then I thought of how little she had. She probably didn’t go to school, and this is where she sleeps and eats every day. The little girl makes me realize just how lucky I am.
After that experience at the homeless shelter, I had a change of heart. Now, I love Madcaps and don’t miss one meeting. I have gotten over being socially awkward (尴尬的) and now have many friends to play and hang out with.

This prize, which my teacher gave me, always reminds me of my courage. It is meaningful because it not only encourages me to face challenges but also teaches me the importance of hard work.
B
However, some think such forms of family education harm the development of children by taking away opportunities to experience life, develop necessary skills and become independent people.

A.Know how to make cold dishes.
B.Cook two or three common dishes.

30.What does the underlined word “them” in the fifth paragraph refer to?

C.To let students choose what course to learn.
D.To introduce the new curriculum standard.
32.Where can you read the passage?
A.In a storybook. B.In a guidebook.

①Students at a primary school in California, with the help of their art teacher Jessica Martin created a telephone hotline that people can call to get cheerful advice from kids during difficult times. In just days, the hotline began getting thousands of calls an hour.
②Most people agree that the last couple of years have been stressful. Ms. Martin thought her students just might have the magic words needed to bring calm to people.
I believe that if you have an open mind about things, you can learn about yourself. You can also make a difference.

A.students should use cell phones properly
B.students should be forbidden to use cell phones
C.it is impossible to make a cell phone use policy
D.it is foolish to limit students’ use of cell phones

However, some think such forms of family education harm the development of children by taking away opportunities to experience life, develop necessary skills and become independent people.

I believe that if you have an open mind about things, you can learn about yourself. You can also make a difference.
