Zootopia, a beloved Disney animated film, centers on Judy Hopps—a brave young rabbit from the small town of Bunnyburrow. Since childhood, Judy has dreamed of becoming a police officer in Zootopia, a city that claims “anyone can be anything.” But turning this dream into reality proves far harder than she expects.
As a small animal, Judy faces constant prejudice. At the police academy, bigger classmates laugh at her, saying “rabbits are too weak for police work.” Yet she trains harder than anyone else, running extra laps and practicing self-defense late into the night, finally graduating at the top of her class. Even then, Chief Bogo—a tough buffalo—assigns her to write parking tickets. Judy doesn’t complain; instead, she works diligently, hoping to prove her worth. Her parents still urge her to give up, warning, “Stick to selling carrots; that’s what rabbits do.” But Judy refuses to quit.
One day, she meets Nick Wilde, a clever fox who hides his kindness under a tough exterior. Nick mocks Judy’s dream at first, hurt by fixed ideas that “all foxes are cunning.” But Judy’s persistence wins him over, and they team up to solve a mystery: several predators(捕食者) have turned “savage.” They soon find the truth—it’s a poisonous plant called “Midnight Howler,” not their nature, causing the violence. Judy even apologizes for once doubting predators, showing true growth.
In the end, Judy and Nick change Zootopia. Nick starts a new business with pride, and residents greet each other without judgment. Judy becomes a respected cop, inspiring small animals everywhere. As The Time notes, Zootopia reminds us: never let others’ doubts stop your dreams.(278 词)

“Many Zootopia residents still clung to the old belief that 'predators are born dangerous'—even after Judy and Nick proved the violence was caused by a poisonous plant. This shows how deep-rooted prejudice can be in a society,” the 影评 noted.
“A sheep merchant in the film once refused to sell goods to foxes, saying 'Foxes always cheat.' Such small-scale discrimination gradually builds up barriers between different groups,” it added.
“Judy, as a rabbit (a typical herbivore), didn’t let the 'weak rabbit' stereotype stop her from becoming a top cop; Nick, a fox (a labeled 'cunning predator'), used his wisdom to help solve the city’s biggest mystery. Together, they showed that 'anyone can be anything' is not just a slogan,” the 影评 emphasized.
“The scene where Judy apologized to Nick for doubting predators is a key moment—it teaches audiences that admitting prejudice is the first step to overcoming it,” it pointed out.
Asking students to identify the three attitudes towards prejudice in Zootopia (prejudice-solidified, inclusion-practicing, neutral) based on the film review and explain the supporting details.
“When Judy first announced her dream of being a police officer, her parents warned, 'Stick to selling carrots—rabbits don’t do police work.' At the police academy, bigger animals laughed at her, saying she was 'too small to catch criminals.' These external doubts almost made Judy question her own choice,” the 专题 stated.
“Judy’s response to doubts was not complaint but action: she ran extra laps after training, practiced self-defense until midnight, and even turned parking ticket writing (a trivial task) into a way to prove her diligence. Her persistence finally won her the chance to join the big case investigation,” it continued.
“After solving the case, Judy didn’t just achieve her dream of being a respected cop—she also realized that 'dream success' isn’t just personal glory, but helping others break stereotypes. She later worked with Nick to set up a 'No Label' club in Zootopia to help young animals pursue their dreams without prejudice,” the 专题 added.
Providing a passage about "Judy’s Dream Journey" with 5 blanks, and asking students to select the correct sentences (extracted and adapted from the Variety feature) to fill in, such as "Judy’s parents were not the only ones who doubted her dream" or "Judy’s persistence in small tasks laid the foundation for her later success".
“Zootopia teaches teenagers that self-identity should not be limited by group labels. Judy didn’t see herself as 'just a rabbit'—she saw herself as someone who wanted to protect the city; Nick didn’t accept the 'cunning fox' label—he chose to use his intelligence for good. This kind of self-cognition is key to personal growth,” the report said.
“Individuals in society have a responsibility to break the prejudice cycle. For example, when Judy found out the 'savage predators' were framed by a poisonous plant, she didn’t keep quiet—she publicly clarified the truth to change the city’s view of predators. This shows that everyone can be a 'change-maker' in society,” it noted.
“Zootopia’s success lies in its focus on 'common humanity' rather than 'group differences'. Herbivores and predators have different needs, but they all desire safety, respect, and equal opportunities. This concept helps teenagers understand that diversity is a strength, not a threat,” the report emphasized.
Selecting a 200-word excerpt from the UNESCO report about Zootopia, and setting 10 blanks to examine key grammar points, such as:
Judy didn’t let the "weak rabbit" stereotype ______ (stop) her from pursuing her dream.
The truth ______ (discover) by Judy and Nick helped change Zootopia’s view of predators.
Everyone can be a "change-maker" ______ wants to break prejudice in society.

When I was a little girl, I liked drawing, freely and joyously making marks on the walls at home. In primary school, I learned to write using chalks. Writing seemed to be another form of drawing. I shaped individual letters into repeating lines, which were abstract forms, delightful but meaningless patterns.
In secondary school, art was my favourite subject. Since I loved it so much I thought I was good at it. For the art O-level exam I had to present an oil painting. I found it difficult, but still hoped to pass. I failed, with a low grade. I’d been over-confident. Now I’d been declared talentless.
But other channels of creativity stayed open: I went on writing poems and stories. Still, I went to exhibitions often. I continued my habitual drawing, which I now characterised as childish doodling (乱画). In my 30s, I made painter friends and learned new ways of looking at art. However, I couldn’t let myself have a go at actually doing it. Though these new friends were abstract painters using oil paints, or were printmakers or sculptors, I took oil painting as the taboo (禁忌) high form I wasn’t allowed to practice.
One night, in my early 40s, I dreamed that a big woman in red approached me, handed me a bag of paints, and told me to start painting. The dream felt so authoritative that it shook me. It was a form of energy, giving me back something I’d lost. Accordingly, I started by experimenting with water colours. Finally, I bought some oil paints.
Although I have enjoyed breaking my decades-long taboo about working with oil paints, I have discovered I now prefer chalks and ink. I let my line drawings turn into cartoons I send to friends. It all feels free and easy. Un-anxious. This time around, I can accept my limitations but keep going.
Becoming a successful painter calls for being resolute. I realised I was always afraid of wanting too much. That dream reminded me that those fears and desires could encourage me to take risks and make experiments.
24.How did the author feel about the result of the art exam?
A.Scared. B.Worried. C.Discouraged. D.Wronged.
25.In her 30s, the author _________.
A.avoided oil painting practice B.sought for a painting career
C.fancied abstract painting D.exhibited child paintings
26.Which word would best describe the author’s dream?
A.Confusing. B.Empowering.
C.Disturbing. D.Entertaining.
27.What can we learn from this passage?
A.Actions speak louder than words. B.Hard work is the mother of success.
C.Dreams are the reflections of realities. D.Creative activities involve being confident.

As a grandma, who played on the Banff girls’ ice hockey (冰球) team 50 years ago, I finally worked up the courage to play the sport with my 8-year-old grandson and his dad.
“Grandma scored,” my son shouted.
“Of course she did,” my grandson said. “She was on a hockey team a really long time ago.”
My heart melted. Memories of playing hockey as a teenager began to flood my mind. In the mid-1970s, two brave Banff High School teachers started our girls’ hockey team and asked us to join the Minor Hockey League. We had many difficulties to overcome before our first game: learning the rules, adapting to hockey skates, and mastering stick handling, passing and fast skating.
Our first real game was against a team from Jasper. They skated fast. They dodged (躲闪) and passed and zipped up and down the ice like superstars. And then our captain got pushed into the boards hard. I stood there with my mouth open. My teammates wore similar expressions. Our coach — speechless. We all looked at the judge. He did nothing. Then, as I was making a pass to a teammate, I got hit. I rolled over, got up on my knees and gasped (喘气) for air.
“It’s a long way from your heart,” our coach shouted. “Get up!”
Those were the exact words I needed to hear to stop the tears and get back in the game. We lost 13-0. We should have been sad about it but we weren’t. We were just thankful we could all still walk to the dressing room.
A month later we played Jasper again. We lost 4-0, but they hadn’t killed us this time — both physically and on the scoreboard. A proud loss. Our final game against Jasper was at the Easter Tournament on our home ice. And guess what, we scored a goal — the only goal of the game. We were victorious!
Next month, my grandson will play in the arena where we beat Jasper years ago. I can’t wait to walk down the arena’s Hall of Fame with him and show him our team picture. When stepping onto the ice wasn’t as wobbly (摇晃) for me as it is today.
4. What does the author’s grandson think of her playing hockey again?
A. He admires her courage.
B. He respects her experience.
C. He is surprised by her talent.
D. He is doubtful about her abilities.
5. What challenge did the author’s team face before their first game?
A. Limited time for preparation.
B. Achieving peak physical condition.
C. Mastering the game’s fundamentals.
D. A lack of necessary equipment and facilities.
6. What can be inferred about the author’s team’s first game against Jasper?
A. They met with unexpected difficulties.
B They were satisfied with the outcome.
C. They had overestimated their opponents.
D. They received insufficient coaching support.
7. What is the author’s main purpose in writing this passage?
A. To promote sportsmanship.
B. To share an inspiring story.
C. To show her past achievements.
D. To express the value of teamwork.

1. What does Judy dream of becoming since childhood?
A. A carrot seller. B. A self-defense trainer. C. A police officer. D. A mystery solver.
C(A police officer.)
【解析】原文定位:对应核心语料第一段 “Since childhood, Judy has dreamed of becoming a police officer in Zootopia...”。
2. Why does Nick mock Judy’s dream at first?
A. He thinks Judy is too weak to be a cop. B. He believes predators are more suitable for police work.
C. He wants to stop Judy from taking risks. D. He is hurt by the fix idea about foxes.
D(He is hurt by the fix idea about foxes.)
【解析】原文定位:对应核心语料第三段 “Nick mocks Judy’s dream at first, hurt by stereotypes that ‘all foxes are cunning.’”。
3. What can we infer from Judy’s apology to predators?
A. She once believed the false idea about predators. B. She used to be afraid of all predators in Zootopia.
C. She felt sorry for not solving the mystery earlier. D. She regretted working with Nick to find the truth.
A(She once believed the false idea about predators.)
【解析】原文定位:对应核心语料第三段 “Judy even apologizes for once doubting predators, showing true growth.”。 故选A。
4. What does The Time want to tell people through Zootopia?
A. It’s dangerous to trust predators in daily life.
B. One should never give up on dreams because of others’ doubts.
C. Small animals are more likely to succeed with hard work.
D. Working with others is the only way to solve big problems.
B(One should never give up on dreams because of others’ doubts.)
【解析】原文定位:对应核心语料第四段 “As The Time notes, Zootopia reminds us: never let others’ doubts stop your dreams.”。
5. The underlined word “savage” in Paragraph 3 probably means ______.
A. friendly and calm B. wild and violent C. smart and clever D. weak and scared
B(wild and violent)
They soon find the truth—it’s a poisonous plant called ‘Midnight Howler,’ not their nature, causing the violence.”。
6. What is the main idea of the text?
A. It introduces the main characters and plot of Zootopia.
B. It explains how Judy and Nick solved the mystery in Zootopia.
C. It describes the changes of Zootopia after the mystery was solved.
D. It discusses Judy’s journey of chasing dreams and breaking prejudice.
D(It discusses Judy’s journey of chasing dreams and breaking prejudice.)

1. a 2. called 3. where 4. expected 5.saying 6.harder 7.cases 8.of 9.to give 10.who/that
urge sb. to do sth.
10.who/that考查定语从句。

1.挑战部分(1-2 句):用 “classmates laughed at her weakness” “Chief Bogo gave her trivial work” “parents asked her to give up” 三个具体场景,概括 Judy 面临的 “他人偏见 + 上级轻视 + 家人不支持”,避免空泛表述,让内容更真实。
2.应对部分(2 句):以 “never gave in” 为核心,通过 “trained hard day and night” “worked diligently” 体现 “坚持努力”,再用 “solved a big case with Nick” “apologized for doubting predators” 补充 “合作” 与 “自我成长”,展现应对方式的多样性。
3.启示部分(1 句):用 “learn that we should stick to our dreams and overcome prejudice with persistence” 直接点题,结尾 “encourages me to keep going” 呼应开头 “gives me great inspiration”,形成首尾闭环,强化主旨。

face challenge

persistence
perseverance
Judy faced much challenge. As a small rabbit, she was looked down on by others.
Judy, a small rabbit from Bunnyburrow, faced great challenges, one of which was being looked down on by others.
She trained hard day and night, worked diligently at every task.
Despite others’ doubts, she trained hard day and night and worked diligently at even the most trivial tasks.
增加 “Despite 介词短语” 表让步,用 “even the most trivial” 强化 “认真对待小事”,内容更具体
She also apologized for doubting predators, showing her growth.
She also apologized to predators for her previous doubts, which showed her true growth.
From Judy, I learn that we should stick to our dreams.
From Judy’s inspiring experience, I’ve learned that no matter how hard it is, we should never abandon our dreams.
Judy Hopps from Zootopia, who gives me great inspiration”
复用场景:介绍人物时可套用 “sb. from + 地点 / 背景,who + 人物特点”,如 “Li Ming, my deskmate, who is always ready to help others”。
原文:“she was looked down on by others—classmates laughed at her weakness, Chief Bogo gave her trivial work...”
复用场景:描述 “问题 / 困难” 时可套用 “sb. face + 抽象问题 — 具体例子 1, 具体例子 2...”,如 “Our team faced a big problem — the equipment broke down, and some members were absent”。
3.V-ing
She also apologized for doubting predators, showing her growth”
复用场景:描述 “行动 + 结果” 时可套用 “sb. do sth., doing sth. else”,如 “He volunteered to help the elderly, winning praise from everyone”。
原文:开头 “who gives me great inspiration” + 结尾 “Her story encourages me to keep going”
复用场景:写作结尾可套用 “sb.’s story encourages me to + 具体行动”,如 “His story encourages me to face difficulties bravely”。

In a corner of our campus lies a small reading room whose significance goes far beyond its size. During my high school years, it became the silent witness to my growth, and Ms. Li, the librarian, lit up my path.
I still remember the first time I walked into the reading room during my freshman year. ____16____ Burdened by academic pressure and future uncertainties, I saw the place merely as a source of reference books. “I need the physics exercise collection,” I would murmur without even looking up. Ms. Li would always respond with a warm “Right away”. Her voice carried a unique warmth that somehow eased my tension.
____17____ Sitting in the reading room, I was on the edge of tears. Ms. Li approached, placing a cup of warm tea beside me. “Rough day? Let me find you something inspiring to read,” she said gently. She returned with a biography of a scientist who had overcome numerous failures. “Remember, difficult times don’t last, but tough people do.” That simple gesture and those words became my comfort.
From then on, I observed this ordinary yet extraordinary woman. She arrived before sunrise, her simple uniform always neat, her smile genuine. ____18____ “I know students need encouragement during stressful times,” she once explained. Her dedication to serving others and doing ordinary work extraordinarily changed my perspective.
In my overwhelming senior year, I returned to the reading room not just for books, but for strength. ____19____ “You can do it, Lin!” or “Believe in yourself!” These small gestures often gave me the courage to face another day.
What Ms. Li taught me surpasses textbook knowledge. She showed me how ordinary positions can create extraordinary value through love and dedication. ____20____ Most importantly, she helped me understand growth isn’t just about academic success, but about facing life with warmth and resilience.
A. Even during busy exam seasons, her patience never faded.
B. I was then a boy filled with confusion and anxiety about life.
C. It was more than a place for reading; it was a shelter for my soul.
D. Ms. Li would leave inspiring notes in the books she recommended.
E. My transformation began one afternoon after failing an important exam.
