My first impressions, IT was really beautiful, Green and quite rural. There are plenty of wonderful museums like the national museum, which houses treasures from ancient island. I remember IT was in the middle of August, but I had to wear a Willy jumper. The weather changed quickly too. You could wake up to a Sunny day, but at midday he'd began to rain. Then in the afternoon, the sun might come out again. The funniest moment on my birthday, my friends took me to a restaurant while we were waiting for our food. Bill gibson suddenly SAT down next to us. You know, he started the film brave heart. I froze, but one of my friends took a photo of us with him in the background. IT didn't turn out perfectly, but it's still a crazy memory. Hi guys, today i'd like to share with you my recent trip to island. My first impressions, IT was really beautiful, Green and quite rural. To be honest, it's not the physical chAllenge of cycling ten hours per day, nor is IT the burning july sun in this desert like part of northern china. The real chAllenge is the lonely ess of cycling for days without any company. The local people in the cities are so friendly, but I ve only just been able to make friends with people who can speak english. But tomorrow morning, i'll have to say goodbye to the lovely family that housed me. I stayed here for an extra two days after this family helped me order food at a restaurant and invited me to stay at their home. They generously offered me a ride around their town and amazing introductions to local food and tradition. I'll miss them a lot as I continue riding, nor through the desert. I write this now not just to motivate myself to continue, but to remind myself that each new friend I make on this trip could provide materials for my new book. As I sit here looking out into an empty desert road, I feel so thankful for the friends i've made and so inspired by the experience of travelling. The real chAllenge is the lonely ess of cycling for days without any company. The local people in the cities are so friendly, but i've only just been able to make friends with people who can speak english. Listen to the next question. But I caught a plane from London to Nice. Where did you go on your bike? M: After arriving in France, I took a train to the Loire Valley. From there, I cycled all around. I loved riding my bike through the countryside. What about you? How was Nice for you? W: It’s lovely, with the beach in front and the hills behind. I stayed in a fantastic hotel. It was an old castle, and the rooms were comfortable! M: I didn’t stay in hotels. I stayed in local people’s homes. I met lots of interesting people and learned so much about France. I often joined them for dinner, so I tried lots of food I didn’t have at home. W: I like to choose what I eat. There are so many fantastic restaurants and shops in Nice. I love shopping so much that on my last day, I went shopping and forgot about the time. I didn’t catch my train! 4. B 5. A 【原文】 M: Hi, I’m visiting for the weekend and need a good tour suggestion. W: Welcome! How about the Green Valley? It’s great for nature lovers, with hiking trails, waterfalls, and hot springs. M: That sounds nice. Do you have something family-friendly? W: Definitely! The coastal route offers beach activities, a seafood dinner, and a short boat ride — perfect for families. M: Great! Do you have any cultural options? W: Sure, we also have a heritage route that includes museum visits, local markets, and a traditional dinner. M: Wonderful. Can I book the heritage route here? W: Of course, or I can send you a booking link. 6. A 7. B 8. B 9. C 【原文】 M: Hi, Lena. You’ve just come back from visiting five cities. It must have cost a lot, so did someone help you with traveling expenses? W: Hmm, my dad knew that I’d be eager to go, so he got in touch with people we know around the world. Some are relatives and some are friends. Then he arranged for me to stay with each of them for a week or two. M: So tell us a few things about each place. For example, what did you like about Athens? W: It was amazing to see some of the buildings where European civilization started thousands of years ago. And Istanbul is quite similar to Athens. M: And then you cross the Atlantic. W: Yes, first to New York and then up to Montreal. There was so much to see and do in New York, but it all felt a little noisy for me. That’s why I prefer Montreal; it’s a bit more relaxed. M: You ended your trip by visiting Mexico City, right? W: Yes, it’s got so many museums. I don’t know where to start. 10. A 11. B 12. C 【原文】 M: Lily, how was your holiday? I went to Paris — so crowded! The Eiffel Tower line took 3 hours! W: I did “alternative travel” this time. I canceled the trip to Spain and visited a small village in Portugal, Jim. Quiet beaches, light traffic and cheap homemade food. M: But isn’t it boring? No famous landmarks? W: We hiked through the woods and learned pottery from locals. And the village market had unique handmade crafts. My scarf only cost five euros. Plus, the local people were most friendly — they even invited us for dinner! M: Weren’t you worried about getting lost? W: Map apps just worked fine! M: Hmm. What about accommodation? W: We stayed in a family-run guesthouse. Clean, comfortable, and only 30 euros a night! M: Okay. I think I won’t miss out on “alternative travel” next time. 13. B 14. A 【原文】 W: Hey, guess what? I finally booked that trip we’ve been talking about for ages! M: That’s awesome! Where are we going? W: We’re heading to China! I found some great deals on flights and accommodations. M: China?! That’s amazing! When are we going? W: I was thinking of going in May. What do you think? M: May works perfectly for me! Any specific places you want to visit? W: Definitely Beijing, Shanghai, and maybe even Suzhou if we have time. Oh, and we can’t forget about trying all the delicious food! M: Absolutely! 15. A 16. B 17. A 【原文】 M: I hear you went to Paris last week. How did you get there? W: I got the train from London. It was really quick and very comfortable, even in standard class. M: That’s a bit of a comedown for you. W: I must admit that I like traveling in style, but I also can’t resist an attractive price. I saw a very good deal online and just had to go for it! M: Then you stayed in an expensive hotel? W: I actually found somewhere that was also good value for money. It wasn’t right in the center but very close to a subway station. M: Did you visit art galleries and go on a boat trip on the River Seine? W: Absolutely not! With the money I’d saved, I ended up going to some wonderful restaurants. The bills were more than I spent on my train ticket or the hotel. 18. A 19. C 20. A 【原文】 W: Robert, tell us about your last visit to Argentina. What was the weather like? M: Well, it was winter there, so mornings were cold, but I’d expected that. Every day they said on the radio that it would be sunny later and sure enough, it was! I wanted to go sightseeing, and the weather was perfect for that. W: And where did you go when you went sightseeing? M: Well, I went to a wonderful shop that sold everything from modern art to old records of traditional music, which I collect. I came home with a beautiful painting of the area. I also saw a wonderful chair, but unfortunately it was too big for me to bring back. W: What a pity! 21. A 22. B 【原文】 W: Should we call Tina and hurry her up? It’s 9:50 a.m. M: I already did that, twice. But there was no response. Do you think she forgot about our trip to the mountains? W: That’s impossible. She called me last night to confirm what to bring for this two-day journey. M: Fine. But the guide is urging us to get on the bus, and they’ve been waiting for us. We should have left twenty minutes ago. What are we going to do? Go there without her? W: Don’t worry. I remember I have her mother’s phone number. Oh, thank goodness! There she is. 23. A 24. C 25. B 【原文】 M: How was your vacation? W: Great! I went to Bangkok. M: Really? Why did you decide to go there? W: Well, I have a friend who lives there. She had been trying to get me to take a vacation down there for a long time, and so, finally, she talked me into it. M: I've seen some pictures of Bangkok — the architecture there is really interesting, isn't it? W: Yes, it's incredible, especially the Grand Palace. The temples are very impressive. And I love the spicy Thai food and delicious fruits there. M: How was the weather when you were there? W: That’s the only thing I didn't enjoy. It was really hot. In fact, April is the hottest month. The best time to go is during the cool season, which lasts from November to February. 26. C 27. A 28. C 29. B 【原文】 M: Have you ever been to England, Nancy? W: Yes. I go to England twice a year to visit Lisa. M: Was she your classmate? W: No, we were not in the same school, but our friendship started when we were babies. We lived in the same neighborhood. M: I see. You know visiting England has been my dream for a long time. W: You bet! I like England very much. I have been there many times, but I still want to enjoy its beautiful scenery. M: What do you often do in England? W: I like visiting the museums there. They are in a good atmosphere, such as the British Museum. M: I’m free next month. I will go to Manchester first. W: My friend just lives in Manchester. Maybe you can visit her for information about your travel. M: Thank you for your kindness. I will go there with my parents. It is not appropriate to bother your friend. We will visit England with a tour group. W: OK, if you need any help, you can call her. This is her telephone number. M: You are so kind. Thank you very much. 30. A 31. B 32. C 33. A 【原文】 Good afternoon, I would like to tell you about Madame Tussaud’s Museum before taking you around. First, let me give you some information about the tickets. Well, our most popular ticket is 39 pounds. With that, you can also visit three more London’s most popular top attractions. The standard price that you have to pay when visiting four attractions is 55 pounds. Madame Tussaud’s has a long history. It was started by a lady who worked for the French king. She was an art teacher. Here you can see life-sized figures of the most famous people in the world, like David Beckham, the footballer or the Queen of England. Madame Tussaud’s is not only in London. The second Madame Tussaud’s open in Amsterdam in 1992, and now there are museums in Las Vegas, Hollywood, New York. In 2008, the fourth American Madame Tussaud’s opened in Washington. After you visit, you can buy some gifts from the museum shop, and if anybody is hungry, there is a cafe and some great eating places in Baker Street. The museum is open seven days a week and you can see the times in the guidebook of the museum, which I will give you in a minute. 34. C 35. A 36. B 【原文】 W: Everybody Welcome to this special tour around Edinburgh Castle, once home to many Scottish kings and queens. Now as a must-see tourist attraction, the castle still holds many of its original features. Edinburgh Castle stands 135 meters above sea level on a hill of ancient volcanic rock known as Castle Rock. Humans first settled on Castle Rock 3,000 years ago, and by the year AD 600, a small village had been built. The first king to live here was Malcolm Ⅲ Canmore, who ruled over Scotland from 1058. The castle looks over the Scottish capital city, and all its shops, bars, and historic streets. It is one of the most recognizable castles in the world. If you follow me, I will show you Mons Meg. Mons Meg is a huge gun that has been here since 1457. “She” is over four meters in length and weighs nearly 7,000 kilograms In ancient times, “she” fired huge gun stones at enemies, each weighing 150 kilograms Next, we will take a journey through the castle’s past as we enter its famous museum. Please meet back in the main yard in 40 minutes to continue the tour. 37. A 38. C 39. B 【原文】 W: Hi, guys! Today, I’d like to share with you my recent trip to Ireland. My first impressions? It was really beautiful, green, and quite rural. There are plenty of wonderful museums, like the National Museum, which houses treasures from ancient Ireland. But what I loved most were the pubs. Guinness was delicious — even if you’re not a beer fan, you might just get addicted. The live music in the pubs was fantastic too. However, I hated the weather. I remember it was in the middle of August, but I had to wear a woolly jumper! The weather changed quickly, too. You could wake up to a sunny day, but at midday it began to rain. Then in the afternoon, the sun might come out again. The funniest moment? On my birthday, my friends took me to a restaurant. While we were waiting for our food, Mel Gibson suddenly sat down next to us! You know, he starred in the film Braveheart. I froze. But one of my friends took a photo of us with him in the background. It didn’t turn out perfectly, but it’s still a crazy memory! 40. C 41. A 42. C 43. A 【原文】 I’m Brandon Ramirez, a high school student who loves travelling very much. I recently had one of the most amazing trips of my life. After my aunt moved to Paris, my parents and I travelled across the world to visit her. It was a very long flight, but I was excited. We visited all the major sights in Paris. I was amazed by the beauty of the city. I also love adventure, so I always look for new places to explore with my friends. Two years ago, we went to the Eastern Sierra, California. Although we felt tired after flying a long time, it’s worth it. The Eastern Sierra is huge so there are many places to explore. Then we visited the Museum of Western Film History. There were lots of interesting exhibits from movies like Iron Man. Last summer, I went camping in India with my family by train. We went boating there and it was my first time. I felt extremely nervous but I tried to think positive. Once I got in the boat, it rocked so much and I thought I was going to fall into the river. But after I calmed down and learned some boating skills, I started enjoying myself. 44. A 45. C 46. B 47. B 【原文】 W: Please look to your right. Here we have Big Ben. This is one of London’s most famous landmarks. Interestingly, Big Ben isn’t the huge clock-face and tower you see in front of you, but in fact it’s the name of the bell inside. It was completed in 1859 and forms part of the UK’s government buildings. We are now turning onto Tower Bridge which goes over the Thames. The Thames is the river that flows through London. It helped make London one of the biggest and most successful cities in the world through trade. Tower Bridge first opened back in 1894. By then, London had been the capital of England for many years. It was one of the first bridges in the world whose roadway split in two and lifted so that tall ships could sail through underneath. Up until 1976, steam was used to power Tower Bridge, but now it uses oil and electricity. We are now passing the Tower of London, which dates back to 1078. It has been used for many things down the years, and now it guards many of the royal family’s valuable treasures. Our next stop is the London Eye, and then the Buckingham Palace! 48. A 49. B 50. C 【原文】 Good morning, everyone. Welcome to Camp Allison. Camp Allison is a very old day camp in the UK. Its camps are organized throughout the summer and are open to children and teenagers between 6 and 16. It was founded by an American couple first in Australia. Three years later, after its success in Australia, they thought the idea would work well in the UK too. They expanded Camp Allison by opening 10 camps within London which was amazing for a 10-year-old camp organization. All the sites have sports halls and indoor swimming pools. The camps are hosted at middle schools and colleges that would normally be closed in the summer. This allows Camp Allison to have its day camps on the sites that have excellent grounds and equipment, particularly for sports. Camps have their own directors who plan everything and have a lot of experience. All camps are regularly inspected. Have a look at our website for full details. 51. C 52. A 53. B 【原文】 M: In 2009, Phil Lecomte, who comes from France, traveled to Huangshan in Anhui Province. Now Lecomte is a tour guide there. He rarely takes his guests — mostly foreigners — to the most popular attractions. Instead, he searches for unknown scenery. “I just open the map app and see if there are any villages around the popular tourist spots.” Lecomte often rides a motorcycle to find hidden scenery. Besides, Lecomte enjoys camping and hiking with his friends. He also shares the beautiful photos online, like images of an old man sitting by the river, or children running around and waving colorful fish lanterns. One of his favorites is a little girl holding a cartoon umbrella and building a snowman in the heavy snow. “Golly, the girl was me when I was little!” a young Chinese netizen commented. Lecomte still has a photo of his childhood home — a house with a red roof, surrounded by forests. “When I was a child, I loved camping in forests with my friends. I could see the stars. Now, when I camp on Huangshan, I can also see the stars that can’t be seen in the cities,” he said. 54. C 55. A 56. B 【原文】 Ladies and gentlemen, your attention, please. Our bus will arrive at Lake Park in a few minutes. You can feel the comfortable, cool air coming from the lake. This is the favorite place for tourists in the summer, especially on a hot summer afternoon like today. This lake is one of the great wonders of nature. No one knows when and how it was formed. But people began to build houses around the lake 100 years ago. So, in this park you can have a special view of houses of all shapes and styles and colors. It is like an architecture show. In late autumn and winter, this park is the best place for bird watching. School teachers like to bring children here and they just love it. Now our bus is driving around the lake. You can sit back and enjoy the beauty of everything here. The bus will take us to a good spot, where you can take the most wonderful photos you have ever taken. Here we are, please get off and watch your step. Return to the bus in 20 minutes, thank you. 57. B 58. A 59. B 【原文】 M: Dear diary, it’s the 10th day of my bicycle journey from Beijing to Mongolia. Tomorrow will be one of the hardest days. To be honest, it’s not the physical challenge of cycling 10 hours per day, nor is it the burning July sun in this desert-like part of northern China. The real challenge is the loneliness of cycling for days without any company. The local people in the cities are so friendly, but I’ve only just been able to make friends with people who can speak English. But tomorrow morning I’ll have to say goodbye to the lovely family that housed me. I stayed here for an extra two days after this family helped me order food at a restaurant and invited me to stay at their home. They generously offered me a ride around their town, and amazing introductions to local food and tradition. I’ll miss them a lot as I continue riding north through the desert. I write this now, not just to motivate myself to continue, but to remind myself that each new friend I make on this trip could provide materials for my new book. As I sit here, looking out into an empty desert road, I feel so thankful for the friends I’ve made and so inspired by the experience of travelling. 60. C 61. B 62. After confirming his baggage was aboard the train, Kuang settled down in his seat. Having a gift for communication, he started chatting with another passenger within five minutes. Their topics included the Canadian traditions, the weather, the travel experiences and the terrifying Great Fall. After a nice meal at noon, he was pleased to find that the scenery was impressive. He saw beautiful lakes in the distance, wealthy urban areas and maple forest. He even managed to catch sight of an eagle flying over bushes. Kuang reached Toronto, which lies near the border, at a misty dawn. Streets were very quiet. Though it was early, Kuang phoned his schoolmate at once, rather than waiting for him to come. They had a good time together. 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $
