【中考真题】
Dear friends,
Last month, we started the “Nature and Me” activity. What did you see and do during your time with nature? And how did you feel? Please share your stories.
8:15 p. m. 31 May
I disliked hiking in the past, but now I enjoy it. My father and I had a hiking trip on MacLehose Trail in Hong Kong. The journey was harder than I expected. My legs started burning after just 30 minutes. But as we climbed higher, the amazing views—green hills, golden beaches, and endless ocean—seemed under my feet. There’s an old Chinese saying, “When you climb to the top, all other mountains seem small.” That’s exactly how I felt. Every drop of sweat counts!
8: 17 p. m. 31 May
“I feel free and peaceful.” This was my answer to my friend when she asked me how I felt after an afternoon walk. As we walked through the park, I noticed all those fallen leaves with different shapes and colors lying on the ground. I picked some up and made them into a picture.
You know what they say, “The best thing in life is free.” That’s so true. By walking, I got good exercise. By collecting these little treasures, I started paying attention to all the small things around me that I used to miss. It was like an escape (逃离) from what was troubling me.
During the holiday, my family and I went to Crystal Waterfall. It was amazing! I stood near the falls, hearing the rush of water and feeling the cool mist (水雾). The sound of the water was actually super relaxing. It felt like all my tiredness and worries were being washed away.
Back home, I even downloaded the recordings of waterfalls online. They can help me sleep better!
1.Does Steve like hiking now?
2.What did Lan pick up during the afternoon walk?
3.What have the three people learned in common from their trips?
4.What do you think of their experiences and why? Choose one to reply. (about 30 words)

Liang Qichao educated his own children well. He set a good example for them and often communicated with them. If there were a talk across time and space, he would advise middle school students like this. Don’t be afraid of the difficulties in life. Never stop learning. You’ll get good results sooner or later. No matter where you go in the world, don’t forget your motherland. You have many chances and can go after your personal dreams anywhere, but you should always keep your homeland in your heart.
It took Qian Xuesen five years to finally return to China from America and ten years to complete the rocket project. Mr. Qian put all his life into the endless outer space as the leader of China’s “Two Bombs and One Satellite” Project. He is known as the “father of China’s space program” and “king of rocket”. Qian Xuesen was so great a scientist, but he never stopped his research. He believed that there was no end to the exploration (探索) of science and truth, and said, “Nothing is final!”
When Yuan Longping was young, he saw lots of Chinese people starving (挨饿). To make sure everyone had enough to eat, he worked in the fields for many years doing experiments. He didn’t stop even when others told him he was wasting his time. Because of his research, China’s rice yields (产量) increased greatly. When hunger was no longer a problem in China, Mr. Yuan still spent all his time out in the experimental fields so that people could live a better life.
1.Did Liang Qichao educate his own children well?
2.How long did it take Qian Xuesen to finally return to China from America?
3.What qualities (品质) do the three great people have in common (共有的)?
4.As there are different situations in real life, do you agree that nothing is final? Please explain.

①A Teacher’s DiaryApril 14
I put Sharla, Tony, and Lee together to make a volcano(火山). I knew they weren’t good friends, and I encouraged all my students to learn to work together.
Something blew up! One looked mad, one looked sad, and one was nearly in tears. They didn’t agree with each other. Oh, dear!
I calmed them down. But they couldn’t agree on even the base for the volcano, and Tony didn’t want to touch the paste(浆糊).
I wondered if I had made a big mistake. Maybe this was one group who couldn’t work together.
②A Student’s DiaryApril 16
Yesterday, Mrs. Holt made us stay behind so we could finish planning our volcano. Anyway, we finally moved ahead with our project.
I was making my side smooth. Tony just watched (unfair). I told Lee to smooth out her side, too. “No, Sharla, it should look like a real mountain,” she said just as if she were the boss. The whole thing went downhill. The day ended with no progress.
③The Show TimeThe last workday for the project came.
“Is there a problem?” Mrs. Holt knew well there was a problem. She wanted them to put it in their own words, though.
“Well, I think the volcano should be smooth.” Sharla began.
“And,” jumped in Lee, “it should look rocky, like a real mountain.”
“I see. What do you think, Tony?” Mrs. Holt waited.
“Well, I think it would have lava(岩浆) running down.”
“Hey, a great idea!” cut in Sharla, “The lava would be smooth. Right Mrs. Holt?”
Sharla continued. “The other side without lava would look rocky. Right?”
Tony caught on. “So one side can be smooth, and the other rocky. Come on, you guys, let’s go finish!”
It was the show time.________
1.Did the students agree with each other at first?
2.Who wrote the student’s diary?
3.What could the students learn about working together after the project?
4.What happened next? Finish the ending. (about 30 words)

I was reading when my little brother rushed into my room. “I made paper airplanes, David! Aren’t they cool?” Tex shouted, sending his plane directly into my head.
I was a bit angry. “Excuse me, can I have a little peace and quiet so I can read?” In fact, I was upset about the exam which I failed yesterday.
“Oh! I want to read!” said Tex. “Can you read your book out loud?”
“I don’t want to read aloud,” I said more angrily.
“Are you in a bad mood (情绪)?” Tex asked.
“Tex, just leave me alone!” I got up, making my way towards the living room.
“What’s up, David?” asked my father.
“I’m in a terrible mood!” I said.
“I like organizing things when I’m in a bad mood,” said my dad.
“I like cleaning up when I need a change in mood,” said my mom.
I knew everybody was trying to help make me feel better, but I felt even worse.
Just then, my friend Ollie stopped by. “Check out my new soccer ball.”
I stepped outside and said, “I’m too busy being in the world’s worst mood to do anything at all.”
“When I am in a bad mood, I move,” said Ollie. He kicked the ball far. “We ran and ran to catch it until it was finally stopped by a tree. That’s when we saw a cute squirrel (松鼠) catch snacks from a bird feeder.”
“Whoa!” said Ollie. “I never knew squirrels could hang upside down like that.”
“Sure,” I giggled (咯咯地笑).
“Hey!” said Ollie. “That noise you just made sounded a lot like a laugh.”
I smiled. “Possibly.”
“Of course, you do. Catch!” said Ollie. He threw the ball at me.
1.Did David fail the exam?
2.How did David feel when his parents tried to help?
3.What does the advice from Father, Mother and Ollie have in common (共有的)?
4.Do you think the way that helped David is useful to you? Explain.

Today, food delivery is an important part of our daily lives. But did you know it started a long time ago? Expert Hou Yinguo says dining services like today’ food delivery began during the Han Dynasty (206 BC—AD 220). But the term “food delivery” was first used in the Song Dynasty (960—1279). At first, food delivery was a special service for important people. But later, it became popular among everyone.
In the Song Dynasty, China’s food takeout business reached a golden age. The book A Dream of Splendor says that there was a lot of food in Bianjing (today’s Kaifeng in Henan). People often bought ready-made meals from local shops instead of cooking. Without phones, ordering was harder than today. They had to visit a restaurant in person or send someone to make the order, then tell the restaurant when and where they needed the food and the restaurant would bring it to them. The delivery person was called xianhan (闲汉).
People wanted their delivered food to be warm and tasty. They didn’t have our modern technology, but they were very clever! In the Song Dynasty they had a special dish called wenpan (温盘). It was like two plates put together with space in the middle. They would pour hot water into that space to keep the food on top warm.
1.Did the term “food delivery” appear earlier in the Han Dynasty?
2.Why did China’s food takeout business reach a golden age in the Song Dynasty?
3.How did people order takeout food and get it warm and tasty?
4.Do you think the wisdom of ancient people in food delivery is amazing? Give two reasons.

As robots become more common in our daily lives, our school held a discussion about the role of home robots.
David: Nobody likes doing housework, so it’s wonderful to let robots do these boring jobs! This way we have more time to do things we enjoy, like studying or spending time with family. Robots can also make our home safer. For example, they can warn us about gas leaks or unlocked windows. They can even chat with us and help us make video calls to friends What’s important is that we use robots to improve our quality of life, not to become lazy. For example, instead of watching TV while the robot cleans, we could use that time to learn a new skill or exercise.
Linda: While I understand robots can be useful, I’m worried we might depend on them too much. The key question is: will robots help us become better people, or will they make us less capable (有能力的) ? We need to ensure that using robots doesn’t stop us from learning important life skills, so that we can still take good care of ourselves independently. Maybe we could use robots only for the most difficult tasks, while still doing basic chores ourselves.
Mike: The real issue is finding the right balance. I think robots can be good helpers, but we shouldn’t let them control our lives. For instance, if a robot saves us two hours on housework, we should use that time for self-improvement, not just for entertainment. This way, robots truly enhance (提升) our lives.
1.According to David, can home robots make our home safer?
2.What does Linda think we should use robots to do at home?
3.What do all three students agree on about using home robots?
4.What life skill do you think is important and you don’t want to lose? Why? (about 30 words)
The topic of China’s “slash youths” (斜杠青年) has been hot on social media for some time, drawing attention to the different pursuits (追求) of the young people nowadays.
The “slash youths” means those who have more than one personal identity (身份). They like to show or describe themselves with different identities, such as a nurse and model, a teacher and excellent singer, or an engineer and band player. Li Lan is one of them. She mainly works as a tour guide, and she is also known as a great designer who created many great book covers. She gives up her comfortable life because she wants to pursue more meaningful achievements.
A different job can make them develop new experiences and talents. What’s more, they can get accepted by others, and they can have a sense of satisfaction.
A study on “slash youths” in the China Youth Research magazine talks about the background of this phenomenon (现象). From the point of social development, changeable job markets have appeared because the modern society’s usual organization is partly broken. As for young people themselves, when they try to refind the meaning of work, they face the difficulty of self-development, like feeling powerless, worthless in the job, and so on.
Clearly, the appearance of the slash life leads to some changes. “The slash life shows that our society is changing for the better in some ways, and it welcomes everyone’s self-development,” said Shi Yanrong, an associate researcher from Tianjin Academy of Social Sciences. “Young people no longer have to depend on work and money for their sense of self-development. They would like to create their own identities.” The researcher added that because people have different interests and are willing to pay for these interests nowadays, the slash life of the youth would drive the growth of a new economy (经济) and its development.
1.Do the slash youths have more than one personal identity?
2.Why does Li Lan give up her comfortable life?
3.In the passage, what is the background of the “slash youths” phenomenon?
4.What will be your identities if you are encouraged to be one of the “slash youths” in the future? Why? (about 30 words)
“Delicious food is coming soon!”

In the city of Jingdezhen, there is a man named Li Junyong. He has a small food stall (摊位) on the street where he sells fried chicken cutlets (炸鸡排). He was mainly popular among the local students. But now tourists across the country come to Jingdezhen and line up in front of his stall. Why is Mr. Li so popular?
The fried chicken cutlets are a lot of work. First, he buys fresh chicken every day. The special sauce (酱) comes from many tries, making the chicken taste great. He fries (油炸) the chicken twice, so it’s crunchy (脆的) outside and soft inside. The cooking oil is always clean and clear. Customers love the delicious fried chicken cutlets.
Mr. Li has some rules that show warmth to students at his stall. Every day at 4:30 PM, he stops serving other customers. This is the time when students finish school, and he only sells his chicken to them. This is because he makes a promise to the students that they can always get freshly-made snacks after a long day of classes. The price for students is also special. They can buy the chicken cutlets at a lower price.
Mr. Li also has some interesting words that bring joy, comfort and respect to customers. “Please open your beautiful plastic bag!” That request helps him pack the chicken faster, so hungry customers can not only get their food more quickly but also have a good laugh. In our busy and sometimes tiring lives, Mr. Li’s words are like a warm light. He doesn’t say big words. His words are kind and full of power. You see, simple words can make a big difference.
Because of his popularity, the local government has invited Li Junyong to be the “Jingdezhen Tourism Promotion Ambassador” (旅游推介大使). He feels proud to speak for the city and he will keep making delicious chicken cutlets for his customers.
1.Is it easy work for Li Junyong to make fried chicken cutlets?
2.For students, how is the price of chicken cutlets special?
3.What makes Mr. Li popular among his customers?
4.Mr. Li’s story shows the meaning of life. Someone said, “Life is not how long you live, but how long you can remember.” Others also said, “Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass, but about learning to dance in the rain.” What’s your idea of life? (within 30 words)
Life is not , but .

2.What did the helicopters change into in the sky?
3.After watching the Military Parade, what do the four students all decide to do?
4.If you have the chance to talk to a soldier from the military parade, what will you say to him/her? (about 30 words)

“Dear passengers, welcome to take the No. 38 bus...” Every day, Feng Zhiliang welcomes passengers in Chinese and English at work. The 43-year-old bus driver from Handan in Hebei Province has surprised people by using two languages for broadcasting (播报). The idea came from his conversation with a foreign passenger during the Spring Festival. “I said ‘Hello! Happy New Year!’ to him, and he made a thumbs-up (竖大拇指) sign and said “Very good! Happy New Year!”
As he found there were many foreign passengers on No. 38 bus, Feng decided to use English at work to improve the service quality. However, learning English from scratch (从头开始) was not easy. He also made time for learning by setting aside an hour every night after work and using his 20-minute work break during the daytime to practice. After three years of learning, Feng first started bilingual (双语的) broadcasting during the evening rush hour. “I was a bit nervous at first. The support and praise (称赞) from passengers encouraged me to keep going,” Feng said.
To provide passengers with a richer travel experience, Feng referred to the guidebooks and started giving out detailed information about nearby sights along the way. Forum (论坛): Technology and Daily Life
Host: Hello, everyone! Technology has changed our lives a lot. Today, Tom, Anna and Jack will talk about how tech helps them in daily life—and how to use it wisely.
Tom (13, Beijing)—E-reader
I got an E-reader last year. It’s small and light, so I can carry it easily. It holds hundreds of books, so I never run out of stories. I get new books online instead of buying paper ones. The screen is kind to eyes, even for long reads. But it needs charging (充电). Once it died mid-story—I learned to charge it on time, so it never stops when I need it.
Anna (14, Chengdu)—Smart Watch
My mom bought me a smart watch. It tells time, counts steps, and pushes me to walk more. It reminds me to drink water when I’m busy. Last week, I fell when running, and it messaged Mom quickly. But it needs my phone nearby. I keep them close but don’t check it too often—so it helps, not distracts (分心).
Jack (13, Hangzhou)—Online Study Apps
I use study apps daily. They have video lessons and practice exercises. Have problems with math? I can turn to them for help. They check homework fast, too. But I set a timer (计时器) now. If I use them too long, I will forget to rest, which will be bad for my eyes. Controlling time lets them help me learn better.
Host: Thanks for sharing. Tech is useful, but it can’t replace (代替) everything. We need to control it properly. That way, it serves us best.
1.Can Tom’s E-reader hold many books?
2.What can Anna’s smart watch remind her to do?
3.What things do the three tech products have in common?
4.Share your own experience about using high technology wisely. (About 30 words.)

About 41.1 percent of Chinese men were overweight or obese (肥胖的) compared with 27.7 percent of Chinese women, according to a study published in a well-known medical journal.
Chinese Body Mass Index (BMI体质指数) system describes overweight as BMI from 24 to 27.9 kg/m2 and obesity as BMI at or above 28 kg/m2. You can know your BMI with the following formula.
Researchers studied data from about 15.8 million people across about 250 cities in China. According to Chinese BMI standard, 34.8 percent of the studied population was overweight and 14.1 percent was obese. These people were aged 18 or above.
There are several reasons why men are more likely to be obese. As fathers, husbands, and brothers, men usually have to stand long-term excessive (过度的) stress and negative feelings which can make the body produce more stress hormones. Such hormones play a role in increasing fat collecting.
In order to reduce stress, men often tend to drink alcohol (酒), eat an unbalanced diet, and stay up late into the night. Some other habits, like sitting for too long without moving at work and sleeping irregularly (不规律地) are also closely related to obesity. All the above can add to the risk of becoming obese.
By region (地区), the percentage of overweight and obesity in the north was generally higher than that in the south, with Inner Mongolia (37.1 percent), Shandong (37.1 percent), and Hebei (36.6 percent) being the top three.
People in higher BMI groups tend to have a greater number of complications (并发症). The early examination and intervention (干预) are important ways to prevent obesity-related complications.
1.Was the percentage of obesity in Hebei higher than that in Shandong according to the study?
2.If a boy is 1.5 m tall and his BMI is 24 kg/m2, how heavy is he?
3.Why are men more likely to be obese according to the passage?
4.If you become a little overweight, will you make up your mind to lose weight? Why or why not? (about 30 words)

AI is quickly becoming part of everyday life. According to a 2024 survey, adults in the US interact with AI several times a day. We wonder: Should people be polite to AI during these interactions? Here’s what four students have to say about it.
Aubrey
AI systems learn from interacting with people. This means a person’s behaviour influences AI’s responses. I’ve read that using polite language in our prompts (提示) can lead to well-sourced (来源可靠的) information with fewer mistakes.
Hanming
AI doesn’t have feelings. Sometimes, too many polite words can confuse AI. For example, if someone asks AI to correct a paragraph with many mistakes but says, “Could you please, make some small changes?” AI might make only tiny changes. In this example, being too polite, you may take the risk of creating big problems. And AI won’t do what you really want it to.
Ethan
I think we should be polite to AI, just like we are to other people. Our world needs more kindness, and when we practice it—whether toward people or technology—kindness can spread. Being kind, even to AI, helps build good habits.
Asha
In my opinion, being polite or not isn’t important. It’s better to focus on being clear and direct. I’m sure we can all agree that being polite to living creatures is important. But being smart about the use of AI holds more value than wondering if we should be polite to a machine. Let’s lead our lives with honesty and kindness, but let’s also focus on using technology for efficiency (效率).
1.According to Asha, is it important to be polite?
2.What topic are they talking about?
3.What are the advantages of being polite to AI?
4.Whose idea do you agree with most? Why?

Do you remember the 2021 Henan flood? A Chinese sports brand Hongxing Erke won people’s hearts through its sincere act. Although its products didn’t sell very well, it still quietly gave away 50 million yuan. Later, this act was known by the public, which deeply moved people across the country, making people feel the brand’s strong sense of social responsibility. Millions of people rushed to buy its products to show their support. The brand became popular overnight. What makes Hongxing Erke successfully build its brand? It’s emotional branding (情感品牌) that helps it.
What is Emotional Branding?
Emotional branding means building a brand by connecting it with people’s feelings. It helps customers not only remember a product but also develop a strong connection with it. Successful emotional branding makes people feel happy and touched to stay with the brand for a long time.
However, not every brand can successfully use emotional branding. Here are two examples.
Arc’teryx, an outdoor brand, held a fireworks show in the Himalayas recently, which sparked controversy (争议) because many people believed fireworks did harm to nature. At first, the brand remained silent and did nothing to deal with the problem, which made the public very angry. Then, the brand had to explain they used safe materials which were environmentally-friendly but this was far from the truth. When the investigation (调查) was held, Arc’teryx finally said sorry. However, it was too late. The brand lost both its good reputation and customers.
Another example is Xibei, a famous restaurant brand. When facing customers’ doubt about selling pre-cooked food, the boss quickly fought back, “100% no pre-cooked food!”. However, reporters found frozen pre-cooked food in the kitchens, proving (证明) that the boss was lying. Also, the brand even made up “touching stories”, hoping to divert (转移) people’s attention about pre-cooked food. But this had nothing to do with solving the real problem. Instead, this made things worse. Few people went to Xibei Restaurant and it suffered a great loss.
1.Does successful emotional branding make people feel happy and touched?
2.What did people do after knowing Hongxing Erke gave away 50 million yuan to the Henan flood?
3.What mistakes did Arc’teryx and Xibei make in common as failed examples of emotional branding?
4.If you are the boss of Arc’teryx or Xibei, can you say something to compensate (补偿) for the mistake? Share your words. (about 30 words)

Anyone can shine in his field if he keeps creating beauty with his hands.
“Failed.” Seeing the result of the test, Wang Wenwang felt his dream of becoming a wood restorer (木作修复师) lay in pieces. That night, he sat alone, looking at his tools. “Maybe I need more practice.” he thought. He reached for a piece of wood, ready to try again. For years as an apprentice (学徒) , he has tried his best to do the work as carefully as possible.
In 2005, Wang started to dream of setting up a museum to help more people learn about traditional Chinese handicrafts (手工艺) . To make his dream come true, he wrote the plans himself many times and asked experts for advice. He spent a lot of time collecting wooden cultural relics (文物). It cost him much money. But none of these stopped him.
Thanks to people like Wang, traditional Chinese handicrafts are being passed down in a way that we can’t see.
At five o’clock in the morning, the lights were already on at Beijing Minzu Hotel. The head pastry chef (面点主厨) , Zhao Huilian, was making the Lion’s Head-shaped pastries. What he made looked so real.
However, it was difficult for him to keep up with his teacher in the beginning. It took him nearly three years to perfect the Lion’s Head pastry shape. For the filling, he tested more than 100 different recipes before finding the best one. Repeating these movements every day made his fingers hurt so much. During that time, he kept telling himself, “I truly enjoy doing this. I believe my efforts today will show results someday. ”
Now, he is good at making these traditional pastries. He hopes to pass down his Chinese pastry-making skills to young people.
1.Did Wang Wenwang become a wood restorer in the beginning?
2.How long did it take Zhao Huilian to perfect the Lion’s Head pastry shape?
3.What qualities do the two workers have in common?
4.What will you do when facing their situations in the beginning? Give your reasons.

There’s an old Chinese saying, “When you climb to the top, all other mountains seem small.” That’s exactly how I felt. Every drop of sweat counts!

I was a bit angry. “Excuse me, can I have a little peace and quiet so I can read?” In fact, I was upset about the exam which I failed yesterday.

“Whoa!” said Ollie. “I never knew squirrels could hang upside down like that.”
“Sure,” I giggled (咯咯地笑).

I smiled. “Possibly.”
“Of course, you do. Catch!” said Ollie. He threw the ball at me.

First, they invented wenpan to keep food warm without modern technology. Second, they developed a system for ordering and delivering food efficiently.
【导语】本文是一篇说明文,主要讲述了外卖服务的历史,特别是在中国汉朝和宋朝的发展情况,以及古代人如何在没有现代技术的情况下保持外卖食物的温度和口感。
1.根据文章第1段“But the term ‘food delivery’ was first used in the Song Dynasty (960—1279)”可知,“外卖”这一术语首次出现在宋朝,而非汉朝。故填No, it didn’t.
2.根据文章第2段“The book A Dream of Splendor says that there was a lot of food in Bianjing (today’s Kaifeng in Henan). People often bought ready-made meals from local shops instead of cooking”可知,宋朝外卖业务达到黄金时代的原因是汴京食物丰富,人们经常购买现成的饭菜而非自己烹饪。故填Because there was a lot of food in Bianjing and people often bought ready-made meals from local shops instead of cooking.
3.细节理解题。根据文章第2段“They had to visit a restaurant in person or send someone to make the order”以及第3段“In the Song Dynasty they had a special dish called wenpan…to keep the food on top warm”可知,人们通过亲自或派人下单,并使用温盘保持食物温度。故填They ordered in person or sent someone to make the order, and used a special dish called wenpan to keep the food warm.

【答案】1.Yes./Yes, they can. 2.We could use robots for the most difficult things. 3.They all believe robots should help us achieve better self-improvement/improve themselves/personal skills/living skills and have a better life.We shouldn’t depend on them too much. 4.Example: I think people may lose the skill of cooking. It’s a basic life skill for taking care of yourself. If we can’t cook without robots, we can’t keep healthy. 或者Cooking for family and friends is a way to show love and care. It is also how family recipes and traditions are passed down. The robots cannot take the place of human warmth.
【导语】本文讲述了三位学生就家庭机器人的作用展开讨论,认为其应助力自我提升,不可过度依赖。

3.David强调“we could use that time to learn a new skill or exercise.”用机器人的时间来学习新技能或锻炼;Linda认为“We need to ensure that using robots doesn’t stop us from learning important life skills, so that we can still take good care of ourselves independently.”担心过度依赖机器人会让人失去生活技能,主张独立;Mike认为“we should use that time for self-improvement, not just for entertainment.”机器人节省的时间应用于自我提升而非仅娱乐。三人都认同机器人应助力自我提升、改善生活,且不能过度依赖。故填They all believe robots should help us achieve better self-improvement/improve themselves/personal skills/living skills and have a better life.We shouldn’t depend on them too much.
4.本题是开放性题目,言之有理即可,答案不唯一。本文讨论了烹饪是重要的生活技能,能为家人朋友制作食物传递关爱,也关乎自身健康,机器人无法替代其中的人文温度和自我照顾的本质。故参考答案为I think people may lose the skill of cooking. It’s a basic life skill for taking care of yourself. If we can’t cook without robots, we can’t keep healthy. 或者Cooking for family and friends is a way to show love and care.

【答案】1.No, it wasn’t. 2.He is 54 kg./54 kg. 3.Because men usually have long-term excessive stress and negative feelings (which make the body produce more stress hormones to increase fat collecting). 4.Yes, I will. Because overweight may lead to complications and early intervention is crucial for health.
【导语】本文是一篇说明文,聚焦中国人群的超重与肥胖现状,通过数据阐述男女及地区间的差异,分析男性更易肥胖的原因,并强调肥胖引发并发症的风险及早期干预的重要性。
1.根据“with Inner Mongolia (37.1 percent), Shandong (37.1 percent), and Hebei (36.6 percent) being the top three”可知,河北的肥胖及超重比例低于山东。故填No, it wasn’t.
2.根据BMI公式可知,已知身高1.5 m,BMI 24,可得体重 = 24 × (1.5)² = 24 × 2.25 = 54 (kg)。故填He is 54 kg./54 kg.
3.根据“There are several reasons why men are more likely to be obese. As fathers, husbands, and brothers, men usually have to stand long-term excessive stress and negative feelings which can make the body produce more stress hormones.”可知,男性更易肥胖是因为长期过度压力和负面情绪使身体产生更多储脂的压力激素。故填Because men usually have long-term excessive stress and negative feelings (which make the body produce more stress hormones to increase fat collecting).
4.本题为开放性问题,答案不唯一,从健康角度说明减肥的必要性合理作答即可。参考答案为Yes, I will. Because overweight may lead to complications and early intervention is crucial for health.

Why?
【答案】1.No, it isn’t. 2.Whether people should be polite to AI during interactions./The topic is whether people should be polite to AI when interacting with it. 3.First, it can make AI provide well-sourced information with fewer mistakes. Second, it helps spread kindness and build good habits. 4.开放性试题,言之有理即可。参考答案为:I agree with Aubrey most. Because her idea is very practical. Being polite to AI is not just about manners, but a way to get better and more accurate results, which is the main purpose of using AI tools.

Dear customers,
【答案】1.Yes, it does. 2.Millions of people rushed to buy its products to show their support. 3.They lied and tried to cover up the problems instead of solving them sincerely. 4.Dear customers, I sincerely apologize for our mistake. We will correct it immediately and promise to be honest and responsible from now on. (答案合理即可)
【导语】本文以鸿星尔克的情感品牌成功案例为引,介绍了情感品牌的概念,并通过始祖鸟和西贝的失败案例,阐述了情感品牌运用的成败差异。
1.根据“Successful emotional branding makes people feel happy and touched to stay with the brand for a long time.”可知,成功的情感品牌会让人们感到快乐和感动。故填Yes, it does.
2.根据“Millions of people rushed to buy its products to show their support.”可知,人们纷纷购买鸿星尔克的产品以表示支持。故填Millions of people rushed to buy its products to show their support.
3.结合始祖鸟“起初沉默回避、撒谎掩饰”和西贝“撒谎并编造故事转移注意力”的行为可知,它们的共同错误是撒谎掩盖问题,未真诚解决问题。故填They lied and tried to cover up the problems instead of solving them sincerely.
4.开放性试题,答案合理即可。参考答案:Dear customers, I sincerely apologize for our mistake. We will correct it immediately and promise to be honest and responsible from now on.
