One day, the young man and his father happened to meet each other in a grove. He suggested that they should take a walk together. As they walked, a beautiful garden came into their sight. He pointed to one of the prettiest flowers and said to his father, “We young people are like this beautiful flower, so healthy, energetic, and full of spirit. What about the old? Just like the falling leaves from a dying tree.” Hearing this, his father smiled but said nothing. They continued walking in silence. When they passed a store, the man’s father stopped, went in and bought a walnut. He showed it to his son slowly and said, “We old are like this walnut. We’ve experienced many hard events in life. So we built up such a firm shell, and at the same time we also built up a pure inner world. Every fruit is so full-grown.” “But every fruit was born by a flower,” said his son. “Yes, but not every flower can bear fruit. We should try to be a flower that can bear fruit.”

Should people walk where they want
In most of England, walkers are limited to footpaths.
More than 100 musicians, actors and writers wrote to the UK government, “In the books we write, the songs we sing, the art we make, we celebrate the important connection that we feel with nature. But that connection is ____71____ by the fences that surround (围绕) much of England’s land, stopping people from walking free.”
Although in 2000, a law was passed to allow people to walk around 8% of England’s countryside. Some people say this isn’t good enough. Others point out that there are businesses that need to keep the land private. What do you think? Should people be allowed to walk wherever they like?
YES! — Nature belongs to everyone
Nowadays it is important for people to take a walk outdoors — for their mental and physical health. It encourages people and brings them ____72____ and relaxation.
Yet this space is not enough and is now surrounded by fences. To get closer to nature, most people have to travel for miles. Everyone should be able to get close to nature ____73____. Blue sky, flying birds and green tree-lined paths should not belong to any private organization or person. But the truth is that such a small number of people own such huge amounts of land. Among every eight British houses, one has no gardens. This isn’t ____74____.
NO! — The walking paths are enough
The land isn’t just for people’s enjoyment or health. For many people, it means family’s whole-year income. ____75____, farmers need fields to keep their animals, like sheep or bulls, for a living. Also, it isn’t safe for walkers to walk around because the land may have many hidden ____76____ such as wetlands and snakes.
Moreover, walkers do not always show their respect. They leave gates open, litter everywhere, scare off birds and stand over plants. In fact, many people are not really looking for a connection with the wild. They just want a short walk with the nice scenery. The government should focus on making paths for walkers and leave the rest of the land alone.

Answer the questions (根据短文内容回答下列问题)
Born into a poor farmer’s family in Dushantou village in 1960, Liang Ruirong contracted polio (得了小儿麻痹症) when he was a child. After failing to pass the national college entrance examination, he made a living working in fields and collecting pig droppings for manure (肥料).
After about a year, Liang seized the rare opportunity to become a full-time employee at a factory in a neighboring town. Humble, curious and hardworking, he was promoted to workshop director after five years, and developed 50 new products.
Over time, the idea of setting up his own company began to take shape. “We didn’t have the money,” he said. “I had to borrow it from friends. I set the factory up near home with 10 colleagues.”
During the first few years, when the products were ready, Liang traveled in a delivery van to present them to customers in person. “To save on accommodations, I often slept in the van at night,” he said.
As his business grew, Liang never forgot about the hardships he had to endure (忍受) because of his physical disability. As company chairman, he created jobs on the processing lines, which do not require physical exertion (强体力活动) and are easy to master. To ensure that as many disabled people as possible could benefit from his success, the company set up a charity in 2010. Each year, the charity donates 250.000 yuan.
After nearly two decades of rapid development, Liang’s company is now renowned for being one of China’s largest manufacturers and exporters of bamboo and wood products. It is also one of the country’s largest producers of natural food packaging containers and restaurant utensils (器皿).
These green and environmentally friendly products are not only popular with Chinese customers, but are also well-received abroad, particularly in the United States, Europe and Japan.
“The company’s overseas sales reached $13.27 million last year,” Liang said, adding that the products will help contribute to national goals to fight global warming.
For Liang, the company has set an example to the world, showing that business can be both profitable (盈利的) and socially responsible.
