教学目标
1.了解一些关于水的事实
2.了解水循环并能看图描述水循环的过程.
3.能用英语表达日常生活中水的用途
4.能结合生活实际给出节约用水的建议,树立节约资源,保护环境的意识。
教学重难点
重点:1、掌握本节课的重点词汇、短语及句子。
2、能够简单陈述水的用途并能给出相应的节水建议.
难点:能用英语表述水的重要性及用途,给出节约用水的方法或建议。
学情分析
总体来说,学生英语基础薄弱,词汇量也比较贪乏.尤其是说和写的能力还需不断提高,因此本课在各学生方面一定要从学生实际出发.通过示范引导,指导学生,尽可能够地对学生进行听说读写各方面训练。
教学准备
教师:精心制作多媒体课件:包括本课的与主题内容相关的文字资料、图片及实物等。
学生:准备好课前预习的笔记。

game "What am I "
I have no color, no smile, or no taste.
I can be very hot or very cold.
I have three forms(形态).
You need me every day.
What am I? (Water.)
通过一个猜谜游戏导入本节课的主题,很快吸引了学生的注意力和兴趣。
猜谜活动起到了激趣与学习的双重效果。
Step2.
Have a quiz
"Facts about
water"
How much do you know about water? Collect some facts about water from the students. Then have a short quiz. It helps students to know more about water.
学生通过预习已经了解了一些有关水的事实信息,因此在这个测试环节,很多学生表现地很自信。
Step 3.
Let's describe
Where does water come from?
Look at the picture of " water cycle "and help the students to describe the processes of “water cycle”.
Water cycle:
First, water falls from the clouds as rain.
Then, it runs into rivers.
After that, it runs into the sea.
Next ,it rises from the sea to the sky.
Finally, it falls as rain again.
Please pay attention to the words: first, then , after that, next, finally. These words make the sentences more logical.
课前给学生布置了预习作业:了解“水循环”的过程,因此这部分的教学也进行的比较顺利,可以把重点放在口语练习上。
学生接龙描述“水循环的过程”,每人一句,降低了难度,学生没有压力,大家都跃跃欲试。

Let's talk
Talking about different ways of using water.
What do we use water to do?
Show some pictures to help the students.
At home: drinking, cooking meals, washing dishes /vegetables/clothes, having a shower…
At school: drinking, washing hands, doing cleaning. others: Watering crops, making products
Check some students.
We use water to do sth.
We use water for doing sth.
At last, the teacher say: We can use water to do so many things. It's so important in our daily life.
对于水在我们生活中的用途,学生能说出一大堆,但是用英语表达却是难点。因此这部分利用图片辅助教学,呈现本课的核心词汇及短语,比较直观有效。
Step5.
Let's discuss.
Water is so important, but it’s not endless(无穷尽的). so we should use it wisely.
Discuss: How can we save water in our daily lives?
Show some pictures and learn .
Water-saving tips:
fix dripping taps.
take shorter showers.
turn off the tap when brushing our teeth
use rainwater to water plants
reuse water...
这部分要学习一些新的短语,利用图片教学更直观,便于学生理解。
Step6
Let's write
Write a short passage about saving water by giving water-Saving tips.
1. show the mind-map of water-saving tips
At home: take shorter showers, turn off the tap when brushing teeth, reuse water
At school: fix dripping taps, turn off the tap after washing hands.
At last, the teacher summarize: When giving tips,
we can say "we should /Shouldn't...or" We can/can't
…
Students use mind-map for oral practice before writing.
2.Ask Students to give tips one by one.
3.Complete the writing and ask some students to share their writings in class.
以思维导图的形式展示上个环节的讨论结果,给学生提供语言素材的支持。同时在写之前,先引导学生进行口头练习,先说再写,降低了写的难度。

Summary
Let's summarize what we've learnt according to the mind -map on the Bb.
板书以思维导图的形式展示了本节课的知识框架,每一部分都给出了核心词,便于学生总结和复述。

教学反思
本节课的教学活动是基于整个单元的教学目标设计的,整合了包括Reading, listening,
speaking, writing各个部分的重点内容,教学环节清晰,活动设计由易到难,循序渐进,使各个层次的学生都有参与活动的机会。教学活动注重培养学生的核心素养,通过丰富多样的活动形式对学生进行听说读写的练习,学生参与度高。板书以思维导图的形式呈现了本节课的重点及知识框架,整体效果良好。
本节课整体创新点不多,对信息技术应用不熟练,特别是没有应用到AI技术,设计理念趋于传统。时间分配上有些前松后紧,写作环节太仓促。
