Lesson6 Many faces, one picture
一、教学目标(符合SMART原则)
(一)知识目标
语言能力:
1.能正确理解并口头运用核心词汇(如 unique, common, background, communicate)。
2.能运用“What's your...?” 及 “I think your unique part is...” 等句型,完成关于个人特长的访谈与汇报。
3.能理解课文主旨,并运用“We can learn... from...”等句式说明差异的价值。
思维品质:
1.能通过对比与分析,理解“差异”如何丰富集体生活,而非制造隔阂。
2.能基于同学的真实信息,发现并欣赏其内在的独特品质。
文化意识与情感态度:
1.树立包容、欣赏的价值观,愿意主动了解身边的同学。
2.理解“和而不同”是构建优秀班集体的基石。
二、教学重难点
重点: 在真实的交流中运用词汇和句型,了解同学;理解课文“差异创造精彩”的核心思想。
难点: 引导学生超越“爱好”等表面信息,发现并表达同学更内在的独特品质(如:善良、有创意、乐于助人)。
三、教学过程(40分钟)
Step 1 Warming-up: The "Me Too!" Game (5分钟)
活动指导:
教师说明规则:“I will say some sentences. If it is also true for YOU, stand up and say 'Me too!' loudly.”
教师说出预设句子,顺序由“共性”过渡到“个性”:
I love our class." (几乎所有学生都会站起,营造气氛)
I like listening to music." (大部分学生站起)
I can play the piano." (少数学生站起)
当只有个别学生站立时,教师走向他/她,说:“Wow! You can play the piano. That makes you unique in our class! But we all love this class. This is common.” (自然地引出并板书核心词 unique 和 common)
设计意图: 游戏导入参与度高,能瞬间激活课堂。教师无需准备复杂教具,只需一套预设句子,即可在真实语境中引出关键词,极大减轻备课负担。
Step2 Reading: Unlocking the Text (15分钟)
活动1: Predict from the Title (2分钟)
教师指令: “Look at the title 'Many Faces, One Picture'. What do you think this lesson is about?” 鼓励学生用中文或简单英语猜测。教师接受所有合理答案,引发阅读兴趣。
活动2: Skimming for Structure (5分钟)
教师指令: “Read the text quickly. Match each paragraph with its main idea.” (使用与课本一致的段落匹配练习)
核对与深化: 核对答案后,教师引导学生用“一句话”总结每个段落,并板书核心框架:

Step 3 Speaking: The "Unique You" Interview (12分钟) 活动1: Model & Upgrade (3分钟)
教师示范: 邀请一名学生上台,进行升级版示范访谈。
T: “Hi [Student's name]. What's your hobby?”
S: “I like drawing.”
T: “What's your strong point?”
S: “I'm good at telling stories.”
T: (面向全班) “Wow, I think his/her unique part is his/her imagination! We can learn interesting stories from him/her.”
重点强调: 教师板书并带读拓展句型:"I think your unique part is..."。
活动2: Guided Practice (7分钟)
任务指令: “Now, in groups of 4, interview each other. Find out everyone's hobby, strong point, and ONE unique thing.”

Sentence Helpers (句型帮手):

活动3: Report & Appreciate (2分钟)
邀请1-2组汇报: 使用句型:“...'s hobby is... His/Her strong point is... We think his/her unique part is...”
教师反馈: 教师用 “Thank you for sharing his/her unique talent with us!” 等语句强化对“独特性”的欣赏。
设计意图: 提供句型和词汇支架,确保所有学生能参与。引入 "I think your unique part is..." 推动学生进行更深层次的观察和思考,将语言输出与情感教育无缝衔接。
Step4 Discussion & Conclusion: We are a Team (8分钟) - 【升华主题,联系实际】
活动1: "Why Differences Matter" Think-Pair-Share (5分钟)
思考问题 (PPT展示): “Why is our class better because we are all different?”
操作流程:
Think (1分钟): 学生独立思考。
Pair (2分钟): 与同桌分享想法。教师可提供语言支架: “Because we can learn... from... / It makes our life more...”
Share (2分钟): 邀请几对同桌分享。
活动2: Summary & Homework (3分钟)
课堂总结: 教师指向完整的板书,带领学生回顾从标题预测到最终讨论的整个学习过程,再次强调 "Many faces make one beautiful picture." 的核心寓意。

基础作业(必做): 抄写核心词汇并选用其中3个造句。
实践作业(二选一):
Writer: 根据访谈表格,写5句话介绍你组内的一位同学,必须包含“I think his/her unique part is...”。
