①Driving coaches might soon be joining the list of jobs that are replaced by robots in the near future. A company in China has developed an Al-powered driving coach called Robo Coach, and it’s already been used in driving schools.
②Robo Coach is not a human-like robot that sits next to you and talks about your driving skills. This robot, developed by Beijing Yi Jia Jia Technology, is actually a teaching and safety control system.
③Another difference between Robo Coach and human ones is even more amusing. Robo Coach will call you “mommy” or “daddy”.
④Besides voice, the system uses a dashboard(仪表板) screen and a smart rear-view mirror(后视镜) to communicate with the learner. Robo Coach uses sensors(传感器) to stop if the car runs into something or increase speed suddenly for no reason, similar to how self-driving cars work.
⑤Robo Coach has more than 40 sensors on the car to notice people, other cars and roads. ___▲___ And to make faster decision making, the car is also provided with radar systems.
⑥The system doesn’t just keep new drivers from meeting accidents. It also collects information on the learner’s driving behavior and even body position. It carefully studies their driving habits in real time to see if the learner is too traditional or easy to be angry during practice and then changes its teaching style. By recording all the problems a learner runs into during lessons, the system can help the new driver correct past mistakes and prevent new ones.

He was the only grey cub (幼崽) the she-wolf had. The other cubs had red in their hair. He was grey like his father. He was also the strongest cub.
There were living things and non-living things in the forest. He learned that most living things ran away from him. By accident, he ate some baby birds. The taste was good. They were the first meat he found for himself.
He met an animal about his own size. It was a weasel, a rat-like animal. It ran at him and bit him. He tried to shake the weasel off, but it held on, soon he was nearly dead. The she-wolf arrived just in time and killed it and ate it. She bent down and took care of her cub. He followed her back to the cave. When he felt strong again, he left the cave and went into the forest. He knew the forest could be dangerous. A large bird nearly killed him. It came out of the sky and caught a squirrel near him. He knew he must watch out for it.
He began hunting for his own food, but he was not good at hunting yet. He still needed food from his mother. One day, she brought him a lynx kitten. He was eating it when he heard a great noise from the mouth of the cave. The kitten’s mother followed the she-wolf to the cave. The she-wolf and the she-lynx started to fight. They would fight to the death. The cub ran forward. He bit one of the lynx’s legs. It was not a big bite, but it was enough to give the she-wolf the chance she needed. Soon the lynx was dead, but the she-wolf was badly hurt. For a week, she did not move. The grey cub had to find food for both of them.
Without his mother to take care of him, he learned what life was about. It was about meat. Without meat there was no life. Animals had to eat other animals to survive. The law was: EAT OR BE EATEN. It was a hard life.

Have you ever experienced the feeling of falling as you start to fall asleep? Sometimes you may come to realize this feeling. If so, don’t worry. Many people have felt the same thing. In fact, these muscle twitches (肌肉抽搐) in the arms, legs or other parts of the body are called hypnic jerks (入睡抽动). And they are very common. Up to 70 percent of people experience them sometimes, Huffington Post reported. But what causes it?
There are some theories. Some scientists believe that the feeling of falling comes from the body relaxing itself, especially if the person is anxious or unable to get comfortable. As you are about to sleep, your muscles become relaxed. But your brain stays awake. It misunderstands the relaxing of your muscles as a sign that you’re falling. Then the brain jerks the body awake as if it’s trying to protect you.
Other scientists believe that different phases of sleep might cause the hypnic jerks. When we sleep, we experience two phases: non-rapid eye movement (NREM) and rapid eye movement (REM). During REM, our heart rate, breathing and nervous system can act irregularly. If the body experiences flashes of REM while entering sleep, these irregularities could cause twitches.
If you don’t want to experience hypnic jerks, scientists have some suggestions. When you become deeply relaxed, you can learn how to reconnect slowly by moving your fingers and toes a little bit. Then start to move your head and open your eyes, while being aware of yourself as you get out of the relaxed state.
All in all , hypnic jerks, though sometimes scary, are harmless. If it wakes you up, simply roll over and go back to sleep. But keep in mind: a caffeinated (含咖啡因的) drink, exciting evening activities or stress may make hypnic jerks happen more often.
1.What does the third paragraph mainly tells us?
A.the difference between REM and NREM
B.the feeling of falling comes from the body relaxing itself

We were trapped (困住) in the ice. We worked hard. By the next morning, the hole was deeper but now the sides of the tunnel were narrowing. We worked harder. The hole grew deeper, but the air in the Nautilus was very bad. Then, the captain had a new idea. He heated water and pumped it into the hole. This stopped the sides from narrowing, and the men worked as quickly as they could to dig the hole deeper.
It was a terrible night. We had so little air that everybody had a headache. We could hardly breathe. Then, the captain drove the Nautilus into the hole. The ice was broken. Suddenly, the Nautilus was free. It sped quickly northwards still under the ice. We still had no air. My face was purple, and my lips were blue. I could not breathe. I could not see or hear. I was going to die! Ned and Conseil found some air in one of the diving tanks. They gave it to me. After the Nautilus broke the ice, air rushed into the submarine and we could breathe again. Ned, Conseil, and I rushed onto the deck. We breathed and breathed, and I thanked my friends for saving me with the air in the tanks.
The Nautilus continued sailing north for several days. We were heading back to the Atlantic. Ned was more determined (决心) than ever to run away, but we did not know our destination. The captain did not appear for many days. We saw Tierra del Fuego and the Falkland Islands. We sailed up the coast of South America, past the mouth of the Amazon, and across the equator. In all this time we did not see the captain. We had been on the Nautilus for six months and traveled seventeen thousand leagues. We were healthy and mostly happy, but we didn’t want to stay here. “Ask the captain if he plans to keep us forever, ”suggested Ned. I told him I would think about it for a few days.
